Why we´re not talking

Politico, by Dylan Byers

Original Article

Marc Ambinder explains why it´s safe to ignore Edward Klein´s new book about the so-called blood feud between the Obamas and the Clintons: A lot of Blood Feud is highly improbable. I cannot say that it is false, or fake-but-accurate, because I cannot know for sure, and it would be reckless for me to assert that this reporting is not true simply because some of his previous reporting has been soundly discredited. ... But I am struck by how deeply skeptical conservatives are about Klein, with master logician Rush Limbaugh questioning the truthfulness of his dialogue and Fox News hosts finding

The title is striking for its irony: Why we´re not talking about Ed Klein is about, y´know...Ed Klein.

Now Politico should do an article about why they posted this.

The answer, I suspect, is that some operative upset about the success of Klein´s book asked them to do so, in hopes of spreading this notion far and wide.

I´m almost finished with it. It´s very readable and the reader doesn´t have to believe everything that is in the book to know that every single one of the main characters is a fake, devious, self-centered, untrustworthy liar.

I recommend the book. I promise you´ll revel in the dish.

Watch closely as Clinton tries to distance herself from Obama as election time nears. The Republicans must not let her get away with it. She supported him on his failed agenda and especially his disastrous foreign policy. Clinton has no vision for the country; she is only an opportunists.

It should be no surprise that the Obamas, the Clintons, and the rest of the Obama gang all hate and despise each other. There is no honor among thieves. These people would turn on one another in an instant if they thought it would be to their advantage and they could get away with it. No real loyalty, but really none of them deserve loyalty.

This sounds like the liberal media is doing damage control. Have to wonder how much they get paid, and by whom.

Three Afghan National Army officers who vanished from a Cape Cod military base where they had been taking part in a training exercise have reportedly been found near Niagara Falls, where they were trying to cross into Canada. The men, reported missing by the Massachusetts National Guard, were first reported missing Saturday night at Joint Base Cape Cod late Saturday. A statement identified the soldiers as Maj. Jan Mohammad Arash, 48, Capt. Mohammad Nasir Askarzada, 18, and Capt. Noorullah Aminyar, 20. A federal source told MyFoxBoston.com the men were caught at the border on Monday. The report could not be confirmed. Earlier, Pentagon

An exodus of top-level officials from the Department of Homeland Security is undercutting the agency’s ability to stay ahead of a range of emerging threats, including potential terrorist strikes and cyberattacks, according to interviews with current and former officials. Over the past four years, employees have left DHS at a rate nearly twice as fast as in the federal government overall, and the trend is accelerating, according to a review of a federal database. The departures are a result of what employees widely describe as a dysfunctional work environment, abysmal morale, and the lure of private security companies paying top dollar

When a deranged man jumps a 9-foot fence and storms into the White House, the most obvious questions involve security—and so these were among Monday´s headlines: "The Secret Service Considers Bigger White House Buffer" (The Washington Post) and "White House May Check Tourists Blocks Away" (The New York Times). Beware of the most obvious. The most important angles often lurk below the surface. What struck me about Day 3 coverage of the White House breach was how the intruder had all but been erased from the stories. His name is Omar J. Gonzalez. VATICAN CITY - Pope Francis has ordered a review aimed at simplifying the Church´s procedures for annulments, the Vatican said on Saturday, a move that could make it easier for Catholics to end marriages. A statement said Francis had appointed an 11-member commission of canon lawyers and theologians to propose reform of the process, "seeking to simplify and streamline it while safeguarding the principle of the indissolubility of marriage". An annulment, formally known as a "decree of nullity," is a ruling that a marriage was not valid in the first place according to Church law because certain pre-requisites, such as free will, psychological maturity and openness to having children, were lacking.

Nearly two million Americans could be affected by what’s been termed the “family glitch” within President Obama’s healthcare law, according to a new study by the American Action Forum. In theory, Obamacare is supposed to offer fully or partially subsidized health insurance to Americans below a certain income threshold if they do not have the option of obtaining affordable coverage through their employers. "Affordable" is defined as coverage cheaper than 9.5 percent of household income. But under a ruling by the Internal Revenue Service, an employer is only required to offer affordable coverage to individuals. The “glitch” arises when one or both spouses

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

Domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence, is defined as the physical, sexual or psychological harm caused by the current or former intimate partner. Since the 1970s, concern regarding the issue began in response to the women´s movement. Most of the traditional studies looked at the abuse women faced from men in heterosexual relationships. But, the latest study by Northwestern Medicine scientists found that domestic violence is more common among same-sex couples and excess stress raises the risk of this abuse. On analyzing the previous studies together, it was observed that domestic violence affected
