The President is “Pi**ed”!
Daily Caller, by Mickey Kaus

Triangulation Beats Coalition Maintenance, Part XVIII: Major Garrett produces an excellent account** of Obama’s meeting with immigration activists last Monday, before the president announced he’d take “aggressive” executive actions to “fix as much of our immigration system as we can” without going through Congress. Highlights: 1) Obama’s revealingly thin-skinned. La Raza’s Janet Murguia had called him “Deporter-in-Chief,” so La Raza didn’t get invited. Oddly, Obama’s super-sensitivity here seems of a piece with the “coalition of the left” approach that has crippled his presidency. In his preferred mode of operation, Obama seeks to maximize his influence by working together with his natural

Aside from the fact that Obama was born pi$$ed, we have the following Twilight Zone governing tactic:

...Senator Durbin says Obama will merely “borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration.” I’ll have to check my copy of Article II, but I suppose if you combine the Borrowing Clause with the Pi$$ed Off Clause you can really achieve some expansive executive power.

Obama believes that by making up laws that sound erudite, he can implement them as he creates them through the sheer power of his formidable ability to convince the ignorant of their validity.

As for POTUS being "pi$$ed", he and Michelle have made a cottage industry of being pi$$ed and making other people feel the same way, including their own daughters (look at the photos). One has only to look at the First Family´s demeanor. Anger and resentment ooze from every pore, no matter how well-shrouded in toothy smiles and haute couture the First Couple present themselves.

Being around angry, pi$$ed people creates more of them. It´s a contagion, passing on the pi$$3edness to the next person, like a bacterial baton.

Are those the seeds of incipient triangulation? Or do Obama and the activists jointly realize that (as Chuck Todd suggests) he must make temporary tough-sounding noises about the border crisis if he’s going to buy the credibility to give them the sweeping executive amnesties they want?

Is the irony lost on readers that the very phrase "buy the credibility" is truly disgusting? He is President of the United States and has no credibility. How did that happen? Our POTUS is supposed to be above such implications that he cannot tell the truth.

Certainly, no POTUS is perfect, but when a POTUS´ reputation becomes one of utter deception, the problem goes from neurosis to psychosis. We don´t simply have a nasty man here. We have a nasty dangerous man.

Read the full article and you discover, if you didn´t know already, that Boehner is Obama´s #1 toady, promising immigration legislation every time they converse.

For once, all the epithets thrown Boehner´s way don´t do justice to the cowardice and duplicity he has demonstrated.

#2, he may well be a punk, but we have learned that Obama can do anything he wants, and neither Congress or the people can do anything about it. Granted the Supreme Court can rule against him, but look how long it takes to get a case before the Court.

We have a president, effectively, with unlimited power to do as he pleases. No one can stop him from changing laws as he pleases. The House could impeach him, but the Harry Reid controlled Senate would never ever convict Obama. He could never do anything that would cause the Democrat Senate, or the entire Senate for that matter, to convict him and remove him from office. Never never ever. Compliments of Harry Reid and Charles Schumer. And Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsay Graham and their ilk.

It’s been a tough week for Sen. Mary Landrieu. If it wasn’t bad enough that the three-term Louisiana Democrat was already considered one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the 2014 midterms -- whose seat could determine control of the Senate -- this week, Landrieu’s re-election bid was rocked by turbulence over a private jet scandal and the announcement that her leading opponent now has more money to spend in the campaign. The campaign of her GOP challenger, Rep. Bill Cassidy, announced Thursday that he had pulled ahead of Landrieu with $5.6 million cash on hand, according to new FEC filing posted

ALBANY, N.Y. -- A northern New York couple has been arraigned on charges they intended to physically harm or sexually abuse two Amish sisters after abducting them from a roadside farm stand. Stephen Howells II, 39, and Nicole Vaisey, 25, both of Hermon, were each charged Friday night with two counts of first-degree kidnapping. They appeared in court with lawyers, but were not allowed to enter a plea. A town justice ordered them jailed without bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday. Remember back when Democrat Charlie Crist was a Republican running for governor in 2006? He called himself a "Jeb Bush Republican" at the time. There´s a reason for it. Bush helped build the GOP, first in Miami-Dade and then in Florida where he was the first Republican governor in the modern era to serve with a Republican-held House and Senate. Also, unlike Crist and Scott, Bush is an off-the-cuff quote-machine who likes to joust with reporters about policy and politics. Since Robert Draper’s provocative New York Times piece posed the question, national pundits have been consumed by whether the country is experiencing a “libertarian moment.” Their answers have varied, largely based on what they think about libertarianism themselves. If anywhere in America could use a libertarian moment, it is Ferguson, Missouri. That’s where Michael Brown, an eighteen-year-old, unarmed black man, was shot to death by the police. Since then, all hell has broken loose. The police claim Brown was going for the officer’s gun. One eyewitness said all Brown did was instinctively pull away when the officer grabbed him by the throat.

This week, the Heartland Institute offered up a modest proposal: Eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency´s 15,000-person staff, move the headquarters from Washington to Topeka, Kan., and reload it with 300 state delegates. The policy brief from the libertarian think tank that promotes climate skepticism—written by Heartland science director Jay Lehr—is something of a dream scenario for tea partiers and other conservatives, who would like a smaller government and a chance to wipe clean EPA´s federal regulations. Lehr writes that "incremental reform of EPA is simply not an option," hence his proposal for a "Committee of the Whole" made up of state

Some days, just one call to collect a newly deceased victim comes in from the Kailahun district. Some days, the team receives nine. A Travis County grand jury today indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest. Grand jurors charged Perry, 63, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official. The indictments stemmed from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.2 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget. The money was earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit, which is housed in Lehmberg’s office. Perry’s veto forced

Police in Ferguson had earlier announced that Brown was suspected of taking cigars from the convenience store in what was described as a "strong-arm robbery." Brown´s family is accusing police of trying to draw attention away from the shooting.
