After a week of especially heavy criticism, Hillary Clinton is defending the hefty price tags on her university speeches. (Via Getty Images) In an interview with ABC Friday, Clinton said she has given every penny of the thousands of dollars she´s earned giving paid speeches over the last year and a half to her family´s charitable foundation. "All of the fees have been donated to the Clinton Foundation for it to continue its life-changing and life-saving work. So it goes from a foundation at a university to another foundation." So now she can deduct those fees ´donated´ to her ´foundation´ on her income tax return. A win win. No one ever said the clintoons were stupid.

Isn´t this what capitalism and the free market is all about? What a willing buyer agrees to pay a seller for their product? Nobody is forced to invite her or pay her price.

Money laundering.

Who are the officers of the Clinton Foundation? (Yeah, know who.) What are their salaries? And does the Foundation pay their travel expenses? (Yes.) Does the Foundation pay their other expenses? (Yes.) And what is the ratio of income to expenses? ( Unknown.) And are the financial books of the Foundation open to inspection? (No.)

Money laundering.

Clinton Foundation has about 400 Million. It only has to give 5% annually to a recognized charity. Almost unlimited expenses may be removed by anyone. In other words, the "foundation" will never run out of money nor will the entire Clinton tribe.

I have commented previously about this situation. I do not support Mrs Clinton one
iota, but if she is being paid any dollar amount to speak, it is up to the payer to meet her fee or tell her no go. If no one will meet her asking price, she will have to lower it or stay home.

The Clinton Foundation when audited last year can not account for all of the money. They have spent $50 million on travel expenses for Wild Bill and his mile high club guests. Also, please note that this $50 million was spent while the Hildebeast was flying a million miles (and infinite amounts of booze later...) on our dime in the State Dept. jet. The Clinton Foundation is modeled after the Rainbow Coalition and is another "shake down" operation for influence. Also warning to Elizabeth Warren - see references to Ron Brown before accepting travel arrangements from Bill and the beast.

Now people, let´s have some respect for our former Commander-in-Heat and his wife.

They´ve got a grandbaby on the way, and you know how much it costs to go see the kiddo and then bring some modest gifts, you know, like a penthouse apartment and a very good looking young nanny, with grandpa also looking for bonding time (with the grandkid and in this case, probably the nanny).

And you heard Bill and Hillary; they go over to the Chappaqua Village Market grocery shopping every Saturday and we all know how much grocery prices have increased.

Why, the price of arugula went up a whole dollar last month!

I have no love for PIAPS. However #2 is incorrect. She has income for the fee and a deduction. Actually when factoring payroll taxes on the income and depending on the amounts of the fees relative to the other income the Klintoons have, they actually could be out of pocket since there is a limit on the amount you can deduct in any given years for contributions to a private foundation. So...net, net, there is NO tax benefit motivating this. Sorry.

What is wonderful is it is being discussed AS a scam. If the message is she´s making too much money and making excuses about it, it means that no one is discussing the issues she´s running on. She´s lost total control of her message. It´s amateur hour.

Happy 158th birthday, Nikola Tesla. The anniversary of the Serbian-American inventor´s birth will be celebrated Thursday with cake and a flag-raising ceremony at his former laboratory in Shoreham, followed by discussions of his work at Shoreham-Wading River High School. Both events are free. Tesla, who was born July 10, 1856, in Croatia, has been credited with developing wireless technologies and devising some of the major components used in modern radio and electricity. Tesla achieved local fame in the early 20th century when he worked for about 12 years in a Shoreham lab called Wardenclyffe, at Route 25A and Randall Road.

If you’re an American, you might not flinch when you hear a certain bumpy green citrus fruit referred to as a kaffir lime. But in many parts of the world—most notably South Africa—the common moniker for the fruit, best known as an ingredient in Southeast Asian cooking, sounds heinously offensive. As Veronica Vinje recently pointed out on Straight.com, kaffir is “a horrible racial epithet, akin to using the N-word in North America.” So why are these limes called by that name? The K-word has a long, complex history, but how it came to refer to a type of citrus fruit is a bit murky. The Arabic word kafir was originally used to refer to
