The Ally America Needs
Politico, by Dennis Blair

Original Article

Japan’s historic move to reinterpret the country’s postwar “peace constitution” this week and adopt a more active role in Asia-Pacific security comes none too soon for the United States. Right now, more than ever, Washington needs robust allies. In East Asia, the broader Middle East, the Sahel and Eastern Europe, extremists, sub-national groups and even hostile countries seek to take over territory and change borders and governments through coercion, intimidation and terrorism. Although these events might seem disparate and limited in scope, their number and frequency amount to a global challenge to the international order the United States has led since World

The only ally America needs is a hardcore conservative leader. How many Americans now see Putin as a better leader than Obama.Obama and his ilk are real fools for thinking that being nice to our enemies will make them like us back.Just the opposite has happened, they think we´re weak as hell now.

FTA "Right now, more than ever, Washington needs robust allies." Now why is that? Not one mention of obama´s feckless, weak or leading from behind foreign policy. But then again if the author had Politico wouldn´t have run the story. The msm is in on the cabal trying to destroy the country.

The country is being destroyed from within. What America needs right now are Americans who aren´t afraid to say they are Patriots. Americans who will say it like it is and stop the voter fraud, the unnecessary over-reaching, over-bearing, out of control regulation, the continued looting of the nation to overwhelm the system any way possible, the relentless hog-tying of hardworking, over-taxed Americans and the common core indoctrination of the next generation. Americans who will stop the bleeding of America. After that we´ll be back in the saddle to help our allies.

The ally America needs is God. That is getting back to basics. In God we trust. No? Then the country is going down - and fast. ´´If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.´´ Ronald Reagan stated that so well in a few words.

That same gentleman said, ´´We Americans are blessed in so many ways. We’re a nation under God, a living and loving God. But Thomas Jefferson warned us, ‘I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.’ We cannot expect Him to protect us in crisis if we turn away from Him in our everyday living. But you know, He told us what to do in II Chronicles. Let us reach out to Him. He said, ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land’.´´

God isn´t fooled by people who gather to sing ´´God, bless America´´ at a time of crisis when they have been denying Him all along. Americans should know that the only meaningful alliance is with omnipotent God.

Notice that the Japanese Government simply "reinterpreted" the constitution (rather than amending it) to mean what the government wants the constitution to mean.

Just like we´ve been doing it here in the U.S. over the last few decades, reinterpreting the U.S. constitution to discover rights we did´t know were in the constitution. That´s how we found out that abortion is a constitutional right. And the current constitution-reinterpretation craze is all these judges all over the country, under the grip of a group-think mentality, finding that homosexuals have a constitutional right to "marry"!

It´s a wonderful thing to be able to "reinterpret" the constitution to mean whatever you want it to mean. It´s much easier than engaging in the uncertain, arduous task of doing it the right way, which is to amend the constitution. s/o

Why Israel Launched a
Ground War in Gaza

After days of ominous buildup, it’s finally happening: Israel has launched a ground incursion into Gaza. But why, you say? War, what’s it good for? Israel’s Iron Dome has kept the home front safe; Hamas’ rejection of the Egyptian cease-fire offer has given Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the political high ground; and there’s a big risk of losing it if Israel charges into Gaza and ends up killing many more Palestinian civilians. Which it inevitably will. And what’s more, why do the Israelis believe that a ground war will lead to a better outcome than the last one in 2008/9?

Political pundits are divided about the merits of House Speaker John Boehner´s lawsuit against President Obama´s employer mandate. But should the chief executive be worried that two constitutional law experts — one a conservative, the other a liberal who voted for Obama — not only think the suit has merit but will likely succeed? The two backing Boehner and two constitutional law experts who oppose the suit testified Wednesday before the House Rules Committee. The uber presidency George Washington University Law Prof. Jonathan Turley voted for Obama but in recent months has become perhaps the most visible critic of what he views as a

With less than four months to go until Election Day, Democrats increasingly have no confidence in the Obama White House’s political instincts. As a result, more and more Democratic candidates are avoiding the president when he comes to their neighborhood. Senator Mark Udall famously avoided showing up with Obama at a fundraiser in the senator’s honor in Colorado last week. John Foust, the Democratic congressional candidate in a suburban Virginia district just outside Washington, D.C., snubbed the president this week by failing to show up for a presidential event in his area. Representative Henry Cuellar of Texas was flabbergasted by Obama’s

In 1980, under the first administration of Governor Jerry Brown, California decided it wasn’t going to build any more power plants but would follow Amory Lovins’ “soft path,” opting instead for conservation and renewable energy. By 2000, with the new digital economy sucking up electricity, a drought in the Pacific Northwest cut hydropower output and the state found itself facing the Great California Electrical Shortage. You know what happened next. For weeks the Golden State struggled to find enough electricity to power its traffic lights. Brownouts and blackouts cascaded across the state while businesses fired up smoke-belching diesel generators to keep

A mogul spent six figures to win lunch for two with Bill and Hillary Clinton at a charity auction benefiting the Clinton Foundation — but when the winner asked to bring his two kids along, he was told he’d have to double his bid to $1 million. Spies said Charitybuzz CEO Coppy Holzman was talking about the recent Clinton auction hosted by his Web site at a swanky Hamptons Magazine party for ArtHamptons last Friday. One witness said Holzman regaled guests with a tale that “lunch for two with Bill and Hillary went for $500,000 to benefit the Clinton Foundation.”

The twilight of the scandal-plagued Obama administration is upon us, and voters are faced with a real conundrum. Which of the failures of progressive governance should be confronted first? The Mideast is an even more blood-drenched goat rodeo than pessimists predicted. There are 50,000 illegal immigrant children warehoused at the border. The IRS is starting to bear a resemblance to the Stasi. Then there’s the roiling Obamacare disaster, and the related politically driven crusade against religious liberty. The Bergdahl swap. Benghazi. Democrats are not just hoping for another Todd Akin, they´re trying to create one—and they think the Supreme Court´s Hobby Lobby decision just helped them do it. Senate Democrats failed Wednesday in their bid to advance legislation that would negate the Court´s contraception-coverage decision. But while canceling out the Court was the goal, it was never the whole point. Instead, Democrats are trying to keep the national conversation focused on reproductive rights, hoping to goad Republicans into talking about the issue. The more they talk about abortion and contraception, the thinking goes, the more time will be spent on an issue where

The actual reports, published online Wednesday morning, told a different story. Instead of $13.1 million in cash on hand as claimed, the reports Davis and her allies filed show there was actually $12.8 million in the bank at the end of June, a difference of about $300,000. The most significant recent development in these situations was the announcement of new sanctions on Russia shortly before the president spoke. Obama described those

The millions provided will give communities and states the funds to shore up their vulnerabilities, as well as “create jobs, provide certainty to states and communities, support American businesses, and grow our economy,” a statement from the White House said. The president has made it a second-term priority to tackle climate change, as Republicans routinely deny that the Earth’s temperature is warming and dramatically altering weather patterns.
