The Town Where Immigrants
Hit a Human Wall

New York Times, by Jennifer Medina

MURRIETA, Calif. — Suddenly, this city in the desert has become the place that turned away the immigrants. When the three busloads of immigrant mothers and children rolled into town for processing at a Border Patrol station this week, they were met by protesters carrying American flags and signs proclaiming “return to sender” as they screamed “go home” and chanted “U.S.A.” Fearing for the safety of the migrants and federal officers, immigration officials decided to reroute the buses to San Diego, an hour south. And a day after many here celebrated what they saw as a temporary victory, more than a thousand

Jenny gave it a good try. However, if she is so sympathetic to ´immigrants´ aka illegal alines, just invite them to your town. Take a few in your home. Pay for their food, housing, education and medical care. I have no problems with this at all. However, I do have a problem if she expects the rest of us to do it for her. This has obviously been in the works for a long time, it´s too organized.

How can liberals justify taking illegal, law-breaking people from one city to ´dump´ them on a law-abiding suburban city and call it humanitarian? There is nothing humanitarian about moving non-English speaking people about the country on buses and planes. There is little difference in doing this than moving people from concentration camp to concentration camp as happened during World War II. If these illegals are already on a bus or plane, just take them back to our border and leave them to the Mexicans to deal with.

Change "immigrant" to "invader" and the article is more accurate.

GUATEMALA CITY — Guatemalan law enforcement officials, supported by U.S. agencies, arrested nine top members of an alleged "coyote" human smuggling organization and seized $600,000 held in U.S. banks. The arrests Wednesday were the first here of coyote leaders since Guatemala President Otto Perez Molina visited President Obama during a July 25 summit with Central American leaders that focused on the immigration crisis on the U.S. border with Mexico. The arrests provoked an outcry among some Guatemalans who see the coyotes — people paid to smuggle others into the United States — as trusted members of their community who provide a needed

Awful, predictable, and awfully predictable: Two illegal immigrants from Mexico who were charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent in front of his family in Texas have been arrested and deported numerous times, police sources told FoxNews.com. One suspect has been arrested no fewer than four times for entering the U.S. illegally, according to federal court records. The other has been deported twice after entering the U.S. illegally, sources said. Alumni from colleges around the country have their own little ways of remembering their university in a way that’s unique from other schools. From ‘Cuse (Syracuse University) to Mizzou (University of Missouri), university students and graduates can refer to their alma mater in a way which connotes affection. And that’s just what University of Mississippi students and alumni thought they were doing when they referred to their school as “Ole Miss.” But not so, according to a “very small percentage” of those with ties to the school – because they say the nickname associates the school with “negative race issues.” UM Chancellor Dan

Monkey business — or legitimate copyright claim? In Indonesia in 2011 a female crested black macaque hijacked the camera of British nature photographer David Slater and proceeded to snap hundreds of photos — among them several selfies, photos of himself, one of which made worldwide headlines and the animal’s Wikipedia page. Slater, citing royalty losses, has tried to have the photograph removed from the site. The Telegraph reports: The Gloucestershire-based photographer now claims that the decision is jeopardising his income as anyone can take the image and publish it for free, without having to pay him a royalty. Maybe there is a method to President Obama’s madness. Perhaps the reason he is encouraging all the silly talk about impeachment is to preemptively discredit his critics before he commits a clearly impeachable act. (Snip)I think Obama’s words and actions in recent years encouraged the race to the border. If he grants immunity to the massive influx of recent illegal immigrants, the race will become a stampede. If he does, in fact, toss away the Constitution to bless chaos at the border and send a signal to all comers that now is the time to break the law, then what

Remember the R2P Doctrine? The Obama administration, led by Samantha Power, justified Western intervention in Libya against Moammar Qaddafi in 2011 because of the global “responsibility to protect” civilians threatened by Qaddafi’s forces in Benghazi. As J. E. Dyer wrote in 2011, “by the R2P formulation, endangered civilian populations … trump sovereignty. … According to this text, it is indeed possible to bomb another country for three months without being in “hostilities.”” We deliberately decapitated the Qaddafi regime and turned Libya into the Somalia of the Mediterranean based on the supposed threat to civilians in eastern Libya, which in retrospect

Even those two specific missions are more complicated than that, however. First, the U.S. humanitarian mission on Mount Sinjar began Thursday with airdrops by military aircraft, but it could require targeted airstrikes in order to “break the siege” at the base of the mountain and
