Global warming computer models confounded

The levels of Antarctic sea-ice last week hit an all-time high – confounding climate change computer models which say it should be in decline. America’s National Snow And Ice Data Center, which is funded by Nasa, revealed that ice around the southern continent covers about 16million sq km, more than 2.1?million more than is usual for the time of year. It is by far the highest level since satellite observations on which the figures depend began in 1979. In statistical terms, the extent of the ice cover is hugely significant. The Antarctic surge is so big that overall, although Arctic

When you start with the assumption that human progress is evil, you quickly assume that reversing human progress is the road to salvation.

Previous generations cured diseases, eliminated famine, preserved freedom and improved the everyday lives of millions.

Now the Baby Boomers, always too cool for school, are once again trying to destroy everything they are given. Once it´s destroyed, they will never admit wrongdoing, but borrow from future generations to avoid any consequences.

A more vile group of people have never lived since the last days of the Roman Empire.

The computer models are fake.
The fact is we do not know enough to make good models. The thin skin which is out atmosphere is controlled in many ways by negative feedback controls. A negative feedback is a situation where a change in the situation forces things back to where they were. The governor on a tractor is an example.
The details of the solubility and uptake of carbon dioxide in the oceans is not understood. Without that, how can anything be predicted?
It has now been concluded that temperature records have been skewed (intentionally) to produce the fictional recent warming (fictional).
Without the skewing there would be no hockey stick.
But have the proponents ever gotten rich off the government!
Follow the money!

If a computer program is written for the specific purpose of producing evidence to support the programmer´s theory, it will do so.

Just as a Joyce Foundation grant to research the effects of gun ownership is certain to produce an anti-gun result regardless of the actual data, a government grant to study global warming is absolutely guaranteed to result in proof that a trace gas CO2 (less than .00038 or 1 part in 2610 parts of the atmosphere) is the greatest threat to the long term survival of humanity.

Can´t help wondering if perhaps the researchers realize that an honest study is sure to result in their permanent loss of access to government funding.....

You can understand President Obama´s current political problems -- and how those problems could make things very tough for his party in this fall´s midterm election -- in a single word. And that word is "competence". Obama was elected in 2008 on a stated promise that he would restore competence to government. He pitched himself as the antidote to "Heck of a job, Brownie" and the Bush years, the person who would always put the most qualified candidate in every job in his Administration.
