The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. As Americans head off for the long holiday weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the president’s holiday spending. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

They had barely moved in at 1600 PA Ave and they were already tired of the place, if you recall.

I´m surprised it´s not more. It probably is.

In the article, it says this is the cost of their transportation, not lodging, meals, secret service, etc.

And when they travel they book hundreds of rooms at thousands of dollars per night. You are right---it is much much more.

Much of this piggish travel is to please the Mooch and her mother, Mrs Robinson, who has occupied a free apartment in the WH since early ´09. Appears that mother & daughter grifters have to be bribed in order to keep the secret about Obama that Joan Rivers just blurted out.

Saddest thing is that this money could have been used to cover the costs of wounded soldiers & Marines and their families. Thursday´s story about the Marine quadriplegic awaiting cadaver arms noted the costs of his family´s travels between the Boston surgical hospital and his Virginia home. Sgt. Peck said that while the travel costs were large, he would somehow manage. These costs and the costs of other grievously wounded should be taken from Obama´s bottomless WH travel & entertainment budget and not from the wounded.

No one seems to know if there is any budget at all for our first family, or if they have unlimited freedom to hire as many servants as they want, pay them whatever they want, plan as many vacations, with as many guests as they like entertaining. I´ll bet our "royalty" far out spends the European monarchs. This should be stopped, and if GOP wins in ´16 that should be at the top of the to-do list.

The prez earns $400k plus a $50,000 expense account. Why are We picking up the tab for ´all they can invite´ on vacations ? Even if they pay for their own hotels (we wish) We pay for extra security.

Why are We paying for him to use AF1 as a taxi for him to campaign for Dems ?

Since We are paying for their joy rides, We should at least see who is along for the ride.

The audacity of it all. Good to be the king.

Numbers are approximate, but the $44 million is only 237+ hours of flight time for AF-1 and I bet that was used the first year in office. AF-1 costs $185,000/hour to fly. They need to come up with better figures, especially remembering how Moo! rented several FLOORS of rooms in a swanky hotel when she travelled to Spain to shop. I guess when you travel with 200 close friends, those rooms are needed.

And how much has it cost us for Obammy to play almost 180 rounds of golf so far? I´ve read that it takes him a minimum of 5 hours to play a round of golf. Probably more. 180 X 5 = 900 hours divided by a 40 hour normal work week (ROFL,...like "The Won" ever, EVER actually works 40 hours in a week,...) =´s 22.5 weeks divided by 4 =´s 5.6 months of playing golf on our dime.

How much does all of this time and security personnel cost?

The Obamas went in office with the intention of destroying this country and loving every minute of it. They are going all over the world telling people what they are doing and we the people are doing nothing because we would be called racist. The Obamas dug in deep and have continued going deeper every day. They are enjoying every minute of it. The sad thing is that when they wake up, they, like all of us, will have nothing. The people who voted him in office will find a way to blame it on the fact that he is black and everyone threw him under the bus. Actually, he is throwing every person, black, white, rich, poor, liberal, conservative or any other description there is for a person except him and Michelle and the two girls under the buss for life.

The rule is always to first do no damage. If, however, there is such a thing as being too cautious, her inevitableness Hillary Clinton may be flirting with that condition as her long march to the Democratic nomination continues. The unease over Clinton’s candidacy on the left continues to grow, and it is a phenomenon which has become inescapably obvious to those following the nascent presidential race. While polls suggest that Clinton remains the prohibitive favorite to become the next Democratic presidential standard-bearer, those political reporters who tout top lines without noting the left’s unabashed dissatisfaction with Clinton are flirting with

AUSTIN — Greg Abbott’s campaign launched a new attack on Democratic rival Wendy Davis’ ethics Thursday, saying she voted on legislation as a state senator that personally benefited her business. A new 30-second TV ad airing statewide marks a political escalation by the Abbott campaign, which has largely ignored Davis in its TV ad campaign and instead focused on the Republican attorney general’s platform and personal story. While Davis has targeted Abbott relentlessly on TV, Abbott’s ads until now have been an effective contrast, signaling to his Republican base that he’s in good shape. Mr. Biden and Mrs. Clinton both visited Iowa, home of the first caucuses in the presidential primary cycle, over the past week. Supporters of the Obama administration like to create the impression that there is no viable alternative to the Affordable Care Act — i.e., Obamacare. But that is demonstrably not true. Republican senators Richard Burr, Tom Coburn, and Orrin Hatch introduced a plan earlier this year that would cover just as many people with insurance as Obamacare at a fraction of the cost. Now we have confirmation, in the form of a new cost estimate, that a similarly constructed but slightly different proposal would also cost less, while covering nearly the same number of people. The plan, developed and promoted by the 2017

Too bad the Obama administration lacks the resolve or sense of urgency to meet this danger head on. Worse, political correctness is hindering New York, a likely target, from tracking and stopping the jihadists in our midst. Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate. President Barack Obama insisted on Wednesday that he would not send ground troops into Iraqi combat zones to fight the ISIS terrorist army, directly contradicting his top general who said a day earlier that the president asked him for boots-on-the-ground recommendations ´on a case-by-case basis.´ (Snip)´As your commander-in-chief,´ Obama insisted, ´I will not commit you and the rest of our armed forces to fighting another ground war in Iraq.´ On Tuesday, however, Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey told lawmakers that circumstances on the ground could drive him to push for American combat troops to be embedded with Iraqi army

First Lady Michelle Obama visited sick children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where she complained about living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and being married to the president of the United States. She made the comments in response to being asked about her "favorite part about being in the White House." "About being in the -- about being First Lady is being able to do stuff like this, really. And it is so special for me to get to meet kids like you guys," Michelle Obama started. "Because sometimes living in the White House and being married to the

Flashes of disagreement over how to fight the Islamic State are mounting between President Obama and U.S. military leaders, the latest sign of strain in what often has been an awkward and uneasy relationship. Even as the administration has received congressional backing for its strategy, with the Senate voting Thursday to approve a plan to arm and train Syrian rebels, a series of military leaders have criticized the president’s approach against the Islamic State militant group. Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, who served under Obama until last year, became the latest high-profile skeptic on Thursday, telling the House Intelligence Committee

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the masterminds behind Obamacare, has now explained that he wishes to die at age 75. In an article in The Atlantic, Emanuel writes, “Seventy-five. That’s how long I want to live: 75 years.” He explains that his daughters disagree; so do his brothers and his friends. But, he says, “I am sure of my position…here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but

But the wholesale bashing of Wasserman Schultz at every level of the party -- White House,

Congress is living in an "evidence-free zone" as it debates issues of equal pay and family-friendly work policies, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday. "Unfortunately, reality is not always the context in which these decisions are made. The Congress increasingly -- despite the best efforts of my friends and others -- is living in an evidence-free zone," she said during a roundtable discussion at the Center for American Progress focused on women´s issues. "What the reality is, in the lives of Americans is so far from the minds of too many who don´t place the highest priority" on

The anti-war president has finally found a way to wag the dog without upsetting his liberal base and war-weary electorate. Despite the beheading of two Americans, establishment of an Islamic caliphate, direct threats to the U.S. homeland, and the destabilization of the entire Middle East, Obama refuses to acknowledge that we are at war with barbaric Islamic jihadists. And he refuses to authorize the requisite boots on the ground. However, Obama just discovered his pre-midterm election method of wagging the dog -- distracting from his incompetent and dangerous response (or lack thereof) to the real threats to America’s national security

The U.S Senate passed a bill Thursday evening that will give President Barack Obama the authority to arm moderate Syrian rebels, which is a key part of his plan to fight the jihadist group Islamic State (also known as ISIS and ISIL). Shortly after the Senate passed the bill, which was passed by the House on Wednesday, Obama spoke from the White House. "I´m pleased that Congress, a majority of Democrats and a majority of Republicans in both the House and Senate, have now voted to support a key element of our strategy," Obama said. On Thursday In a session with the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Secretary of State John Kerry was asked by Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) whether America was at war in Iraq and Syria. (Video) Kerry responded: “If you’re more comfortable calling it a war against this enemy of Islam then please do so. We’re happy to call it that.” So its official: America is at war with the enemy of Islam. However, strange bedfellows arise if the Obama administration so chooses to uphold Kerry’s claim that we are at war with the enemy(s) of Islam. The following displays that Secretary

For crying out loud, will someone “pleeeeease” take a stand for Conservatism? Someone forwarded this article to me, “Why Are Republicans Suddenly Leaning Left?” The article cites numerous examples of the GOP obviously believing it must embrace at least lukewarm Liberalism while backing away from Conservatism to win elections. The article mentioned that Mitt Romney avoided saying “Republican” in an ad supporting Scott Brown’s Senate run. Romney said in the ad referring to Brown, “will buck his own party to do what’s right for New Hampshire.” Romney’s statement implies that Conservatism can be mean, but rest assured that Brown will push

A man who’s a better speechwriter than his speechwriters, a better political director than his political directors, and who knows more about policy than his policy advisors must surely also be a better general than his generals, no? The U.S. military campaign against Islamist militants in Syria is being designed to allow President Barack Obama to exert a high degree of personal control, going so far as to require that the military obtain presidential signoff for strikes in Syrian territory, officials said. The requirements for strikes in Syria against the extremist group Islamic State will be far more stringent than those targeting
