The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. As Americans head off for the long holiday weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the president’s holiday spending. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

They had barely moved in at 1600 PA Ave and they were already tired of the place, if you recall.

I´m surprised it´s not more. It probably is.

In the article, it says this is the cost of their transportation, not lodging, meals, secret service, etc.

And when they travel they book hundreds of rooms at thousands of dollars per night. You are right---it is much much more.

Much of this piggish travel is to please the Mooch and her mother, Mrs Robinson, who has occupied a free apartment in the WH since early ´09. Appears that mother & daughter grifters have to be bribed in order to keep the secret about Obama that Joan Rivers just blurted out.

Saddest thing is that this money could have been used to cover the costs of wounded soldiers & Marines and their families. Thursday´s story about the Marine quadriplegic awaiting cadaver arms noted the costs of his family´s travels between the Boston surgical hospital and his Virginia home. Sgt. Peck said that while the travel costs were large, he would somehow manage. These costs and the costs of other grievously wounded should be taken from Obama´s bottomless WH travel & entertainment budget and not from the wounded.

Traveling non stop, apologizing non stop, partying non stop, it was a huge step up for the community organizer who did not want to be seen in the Oval because other than holding a pen, he has no clue what to do!

No one seems to know if there is any budget at all for our first family, or if they have unlimited freedom to hire as many servants as they want, pay them whatever they want, plan as many vacations, with as many guests as they like entertaining. I´ll bet our "royalty" far out spends the European monarchs. This should be stopped, and if GOP wins in ´16 that should be at the top of the to-do list.

The prez earns $400k plus a $50,000 expense account. Why are We picking up the tab for ´all they can invite´ on vacations ? Even if they pay for their own hotels (we wish) We pay for extra security.

Why are We paying for him to use AF1 as a taxi for him to campaign for Dems ?

Since We are paying for their joy rides, We should at least see who is along for the ride.

The audacity of it all. Good to be the king.

Numbers are approximate, but the $44 million is only 237+ hours of flight time for AF-1 and I bet that was used the first year in office. AF-1 costs $185,000/hour to fly. They need to come up with better figures, especially remembering how Moo! rented several FLOORS of rooms in a swanky hotel when she travelled to Spain to shop. I guess when you travel with 200 close friends, those rooms are needed.

And how much has it cost us for Obammy to play almost 180 rounds of golf so far? I´ve read that it takes him a minimum of 5 hours to play a round of golf. Probably more. 180 X 5 = 900 hours divided by a 40 hour normal work week (ROFL,...like "The Won" ever, EVER actually works 40 hours in a week,...) =´s 22.5 weeks divided by 4 =´s 5.6 months of playing golf on our dime.

How much does all of this time and security personnel cost?

How much have all of the lavish "Blackhouse" dinners for rap "musicians" and other miscreants cost the taxpayers also?

The Obamas went in office with the intention of destroying this country and loving every minute of it. They are going all over the world telling people what they are doing and we the people are doing nothing because we would be called racist. The Obamas dug in deep and have continued going deeper every day. They are enjoying every minute of it. The sad thing is that when they wake up, they, like all of us, will have nothing. The people who voted him in office will find a way to blame it on the fact that he is black and everyone threw him under the bus. Actually, he is throwing every person, black, white, rich, poor, liberal, conservative or any other description there is for a person except him and Michelle and the two girls under the buss for life.

Democrats are bullish about their opportunity to win the governor´s mansion in Kansas and Republicans have sent staffers out to Hawaii for what they view as a promising opportunity to turn the state red. Those statements may seem surprising given both states´ political leanings—but they´re a testament to the fact that the 2014 gubernatorial map has shifted considerably in recent months, a new reality that may cause both parties to move resources to places they never expected at the beginning of the year. One couple knows all too well the pain suffered by the parents of James Foley, the American journalist executed last month by the Islamic State. Billy and Karen Vaughn also lost their only-son Aaron Carson Vaughn in 2011, when the SEAL Team Six soldier´s Chinook helicopter was shown down over Afghanistan. Now the couple are calling on President Barack Obama to step down, citing his reaction to the Foley video and ´lack of leadership´ in confronting ISIS.

Some time ago I contrasted the reaction a conservative would get if he were in the same room with the two most consequential politicians of the 1990s, Bill Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. If you were in a room with Bill Clinton, he would discover the one issue out of 100 on which you agreed; he would probe you with questions, comments, suggestions; and he would tell you that you enabled him to understand it far better than he ever had before. If you were in a room with Rudy Giuliani, he would discover the one issue out of 100 on which you

Because I am a black conservative, someone wrote asking me this great question. “What is it that compels some black men and women to cling to, and follow people like Sharpton, Jackson, Wright, Obama, Spike Lee, Black Panthers, Holder, etc.?” I have pondered the same question. Some black folks embrace victim status because it provides cover for their laziness and irresponsible lifestyles. Black Judases preach a false, evil gospel of victimhood-ism for profit. Some blacks are racist, pure and simple. I believe that a majority of black Americans simply have not been exposed to unfiltered conservatism – to blacks articulating how blessed they

Dozens of public schools across the city failed to pass even a single black or Hispanic student on this year’s state math or reading exams, a new analysis shows. Pro-charter school group Families for Excellent Schools found no black or Hispanic kids passed the standardized tests — based on the more stringent Common Core standards — at 90 schools with diverse student bodies. (Snip) At 31 city schools with a combined enrollment of 1,065 black students, none passed the state math exam. At another 28 schools, zero out of 613 Hispanic students passed the math test. President Obama’s spokesman emphasized that the United States tried to save journalist Steven Sotloff, who has reportedly been beheaded by ISIS terrorists. “The United States, as you know, has dedicated significant time and resources to try and rescue Mr. Sotloff,” Earnest told reporters when alerted that ISIS had claimed to have executed the kidnapped reporter. In the video, the authenticity of which Earnest could confirm, Sotloff is apparently killed by the same British jihadist who killed American photojournalist James Foley. “I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State,”

The FBI said late Monday that it was investigating leaked nude photos that targeted Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. The agency told the Associated Press that it was addressing accusations that online accounts of celebrities, including Oscar-winner Lawrence, had been hacked, leading to the posting of their nude photographs online. In addition, Apple Inc. spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said the company was investigating whether any iCloud accounts were compromised, according to the AP. Representatives for supermodel-turned-actress Upton, 22, and Lawrence, 24, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games movie franchise, issued statements about intimate pictures which first appeared on

Nude photos of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, as well as those purportedly showing other top Hollywood stars, were posted online in an apparent massive hacking leak. An anonymous hacker reportedly gained access to private photos on the Hunger Games actress’s mobile phone, and those of 100 others, via Apple’s online storage system iCloud. The 60-odd pictures of Lawrence in varying stages of undress were then posted on the bulletin board website 4chan. More than 100 A-list celebrities are alleged to have been targeted, including reality TV star Kim Kardashian, singer Rihanna, models Candice Swanepoel, Cara Delevingne and Kelly Brook, and

In remarks on the U.S. economy Monday, President Barack Obama said Congressional Republicans will eventually cave to public pressure to raise the federal minimum wage. Obama was speaking at the Laborfest festival hosted by the AFL-CIO in Milwaukee, Wis. “If I cared about these things, I’d also want more Democrats looking out for me,” he said. “I’m just saying. Because when the rest of the country is working to raise wages, but Republicans in Congress won’t, it ain’t right.” Noting the protests in recent months from fast food workers seeking higher wages, Obama said Republicans would open up to the

Between 1970 and 1990, the population of Philadelphia shrank by a quarter, dropping from 1.95 to 1.59 million. Like many American cities, it seemed caught in a downward spiral. Since then – like many American cities – Philadelphia has stabilized. The population now appears to have bottomed out at the millennium, and has been regaining residents over the past decade. But as it rebounds, Philly is becoming a different kind of city. In the two most recent decades, which comprise the bounce of the city’s population curve, owner-occupied housing dropped even more steeply than in the ’70s and ’80s. Between 2000 and

Just resign already. Go. Be gone. Vamoose. Get out of our lives. More important: Stop endangering all of us with your self-indulgent vacations and self-absorbed dithering, along with unconstitutional domestic power plays while the whole world burns. Barack Obama already is derelict in his duties as commander in chief. He ought to abdicate and just step off his self-made throne. Knowledgeable people were calling for Obama to begin air strikes against the Islamic State barbarians months before Obama could rouse himself to admit that the brutes were something other than “jayvee” terrorists. Because he didn’t, thousands of innocents died, villages were razed,
