The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. As Americans head off for the long holiday weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the president’s holiday spending. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

They had barely moved in at 1600 PA Ave and they were already tired of the place, if you recall.

I´m surprised it´s not more. It probably is.

In the article, it says this is the cost of their transportation, not lodging, meals, secret service, etc.

And when they travel they book hundreds of rooms at thousands of dollars per night. You are right---it is much much more.

Much of this piggish travel is to please the Mooch and her mother, Mrs Robinson, who has occupied a free apartment in the WH since early ´09. Appears that mother & daughter grifters have to be bribed in order to keep the secret about Obama that Joan Rivers just blurted out.

Saddest thing is that this money could have been used to cover the costs of wounded soldiers & Marines and their families. Thursday´s story about the Marine quadriplegic awaiting cadaver arms noted the costs of his family´s travels between the Boston surgical hospital and his Virginia home. Sgt. Peck said that while the travel costs were large, he would somehow manage. These costs and the costs of other grievously wounded should be taken from Obama´s bottomless WH travel & entertainment budget and not from the wounded.

Traveling non stop, apologizing non stop, partying non stop, it was a huge step up for the community organizer who did not want to be seen in the Oval because other than holding a pen, he has no clue what to do!

No one seems to know if there is any budget at all for our first family, or if they have unlimited freedom to hire as many servants as they want, pay them whatever they want, plan as many vacations, with as many guests as they like entertaining. I´ll bet our "royalty" far out spends the European monarchs. This should be stopped, and if GOP wins in ´16 that should be at the top of the to-do list.

The prez earns $400k plus a $50,000 expense account. Why are We picking up the tab for ´all they can invite´ on vacations ? Even if they pay for their own hotels (we wish) We pay for extra security.

Why are We paying for him to use AF1 as a taxi for him to campaign for Dems ?

Since We are paying for their joy rides, We should at least see who is along for the ride.

The audacity of it all. Good to be the king.

Of course not -- in the air or anywhere else. That little task is being handled 24/7 by Valerie (Jarrett), Eric (Holder), and Harry (Reid).

Numbers are approximate, but the $44 million is only 237+ hours of flight time for AF-1 and I bet that was used the first year in office. AF-1 costs $185,000/hour to fly. They need to come up with better figures, especially remembering how Moo! rented several FLOORS of rooms in a swanky hotel when she travelled to Spain to shop. I guess when you travel with 200 close friends, those rooms are needed.

And how much has it cost us for Obammy to play almost 180 rounds of golf so far? I´ve read that it takes him a minimum of 5 hours to play a round of golf. Probably more. 180 X 5 = 900 hours divided by a 40 hour normal work week (ROFL,...like "The Won" ever, EVER actually works 40 hours in a week,...) =´s 22.5 weeks divided by 4 =´s 5.6 months of playing golf on our dime.

How much does all of this time and security personnel cost?

The Obamas went in office with the intention of destroying this country and loving every minute of it. They are going all over the world telling people what they are doing and we the people are doing nothing because we would be called racist. The Obamas dug in deep and have continued going deeper every day. They are enjoying every minute of it. The sad thing is that when they wake up, they, like all of us, will have nothing. The people who voted him in office will find a way to blame it on the fact that he is black and everyone threw him under the bus. Actually, he is throwing every person, black, white, rich, poor, liberal, conservative or any other description there is for a person except him and Michelle and the two girls under the buss for life.

It’s been the most remarkably enduring story line of Election 2014: three Democratic senators defying their states’ deep red complexion and their president’s abysmal approval ratings to stay competitive in races that should have, on paper, been lost long ago. The question all along has been, Could it possibly last? Now, a month out from the election, Republicans are seeing subtle but perceptible signs that contests in Alaska, Arkansas and Louisiana — all three pivotal in the battle for the Senate — are finally breaking their way. Following in the footsteps of Robert Gates, his Obama administration predecessor at the Pentagon, former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has criticized the president’s handling of a key battleground in the war against Islamic terrorism. Gates’ criticism centered around Afghanistan. Panetta’s focuses on Iraq. In Panetta’s forthcoming memoir “Worthy Fights,” which Time Magazine has excerpted, Panetta argues that Iraqi leaders privately wanted U.S. forces to stay behind after the formal 2011 withdrawal; that the U.S. had “leverage” to strike a deal; and that the Defense and State departments attempted to do so. This past week, Obama used 60 Minutes to attempt to shift blame for the failure to anticipate the rise of ISIS, endured a cover-up of White House security disasters by the Secret Service, and saw a government-agency report that he had skipped nearly 60 percent of his intelligence briefings. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is understandably miffed with President Obama´s criticisms of settlements (through WH Press Secretary Josh Earnest) considering he had met with him only hours without bringing up the subject. So why did Obama behave in this manner? I suspect he did this because Netanyahu publicly admonished Obama not enter into nuclear deal with Iran that leaves the Mullahs on the "threshold" of being able to develop nuclear weapons. This is, after all, a matter of Israel´s very survival. But Obama doesn´t take criticism well and wanted to get back at him. So once Bibi was safely

It has undermined the separation of powers by disregarding congressional enactments while pushing executive power far beyond its constitutional boundaries. It has further undermined limited government by disregarding federalism and pushing Washington-knows-best legislation that far exceeds anything the Founding Fathers could have conceived. In recent years, a politicized Justice Department has refused to defend bipartisan legislation in court and resisted congressional oversight. In the first chapter that addresses the encounter, Dunham describes the "ill-fated evening of lovemaking" as awkward and hollow. The most sensational moment comes from the fact that "Barry" wasn´t wearing a condom. In the next chapter, Dunham backtracks with the claim that she´s an "unreliable narrator" and accuses "Barry" of rape: [I]n another essay in this book I describe a sexual encounter with a mustachioed campus Republican as the upsetting but

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

The quintessential question of Watergate was “what did the President know and when did he know it?” Obamagate, the vast scandal that encompasses an entire presidency, offers a preemptive answer. Obama didn’t know anything and he never knew it. At least not until, like smuggling weapons to druglords, bugging journalists, IRSing his political enemies and killing vets, his right hand found out about what his left hand was doing from the morning paper. After skipping 58% of his daily intelligence briefings in Term 1 and 59% of them in Term 2, he went on 60 Minutes and blamed intelligence agencies for being

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. We discover that lapses in

President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

A recent fight between Rosie O´Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg has producers at The View looking to add a cool-down room for the ladies. After being cut off by Goldberg during an episode last week so the show could go to commercial, O´Donnell began to express how upset she was and, after being told repeatedly by Goldberg it was not the right time to have that discussion, eventually got cursed out by the Oscar winner. Goldberg told O´Donnell, ´F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don´t want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie,

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

On Wednesday, the ex-CNN talk show host wrote his first story as editor-at-large for the Daily Mail. While the content is vicious, angry and sure to tickle conservative journalists and pols, the writing is colorful, even entertaining.“A slapdash Secret Service detail isn’t what’s wrong with the White House — the real scandal is a President who is so complacent about protecting Americans,” the headline blares. Piers predicts that now that President Obama went on “60 Minutes” and distanced himself from U.S. national intelligence agencies on the rapid spread of ISIS, he’s guaranteed himself leaks to the media for the remainder of his
