DAYTON — Security will increase at a Dayton store where the owner fatally shot a teenager who, along with another suspect, was allegedly trying to rob the business at gunpoint Monday. The death of Isiah Haggins Jr., 16, of Trotwood, was officially ruled a homicide by the Montgomery County Coroner´s Office. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. Dayton police said the teen and another suspect entered the Step-N-Style store at 3217 W. Siebenthaler Ave. armed with guns and demanded cash. The store owner, who´s been robbed before, also had a gun and shot Haggins. The second suspect fled

The second robbery attempt at this store in as many years.

The family of this young thug - who was armed with a gun - has already begun Trayvoning him. A "good kid", "gullible", and on and on and on. Photos show him with masses of tats and an attempt to look tough.

Damn right, "multiple" gunshot wounds! You keep shooting until your attacker is no longer a threat. I don´t want to hear "he was only 16", either. He was as big as a man, carried a gun like a man, and made noises like a man.

Buh-bye, dirtbag loser.

When two armed robbers go into a store, it is wrong to shoot one multiple times, and not shoot the other.
Shoot each of them at least once.

The cause of death should have been listed as self-defense, rather than homicide. Homicide seems to imply the store owner was at fault in shooting the robber.

Although the article did not mention it, there has got to be a video of this action. The owner who arms himself has to have video to back him up in court. Otherwise, these so-called "Lawyers" will slaughter him or her in court and the law suit for wrongful death can bankrupt the business. Insurance will bail on you if you do not have absolute proof you were doing all you can to protect your own life or the lives of others. It is a terrible world we have created in our legal system.

Well, if you are a store owner and find yourself looking down the barrel of the gun of an armed robber, you have few choices: give up the money and hope the robber doesn´t kill you, or blast away to the robber. If he dies on the spot, his chances of killing you or taking the contents of your cash register are greatly diminished. Once you start firing, finish the job. Bang bang Maxwell´s Silver Hammer came down upon his head (doot doo doo doo); Clang clang Maxwell´s Silver Hammer made sure that he was dead.

And how does one pronounce "Isiah"? IZ-uh-yuh? Another instance of "his momma can´t spell."

It is unconscionable that the CrapMedia would allow the sorrow of the deceased family to be brought into this situation. Your son was robbing a store at gunpoint! He´s dead and he has nobody to blame but himself. Hopefully the D.A. has enough sense to let this go as a justified shooting. Anything less would be appeasing the family for political reasons.

Homicide is a charge. It can end up being "justifiable homicide´ or something of that kind. A determination of self-defense comes later.

Sorry. I erred. Homicide in this case was simply a determination of the cause of death by the coroner. Multiple gun shots fired by another would be a homicide (as opposed to self-inflicted). The qualifying as to type of homicide comes later.

Obviously Yet Another State which has not carefully read the 5th Amendment to the US Constitution which specifies no one shall be brought to felony trial except upon indictment of a Grand Jury. In this one the county prosecutor gets to decide.

Which is precisely the situation which caused the British to adopt the GJ system 400 years ago, to prevent the Crown from causing unwarranted trial.

So HOW, you ask, do they get to do it. WELL ... as you might expect, it´s our nine black robed idiots, who in one of the most convoluted of all judgements, decided that part of the sentence (the part about refusing to testify about yourself) was incumbent upon the states but the other part of the same sentence was not.

For those of you who slept through physics -- the Bill of Rights was NEVER intended to apply to state/local governments, it was a limitation upon federal power. It was only through some *really*stretched* last 19th and early 20th century cases regarding the 14th Amendment that it got stretched to apply to states.

Hard to believe that anyone would think that it is ok for states to violate the constitution. That means that when ever Tyrant Obama the Liar wants to punish his enemies he can have a fellow progressive fascist governor throw them into prison without a charge, or trial. If that was allowed then what good is the constitution?
