James Cameron wants you to eat

Hot Air, by Jazz Shaw

Remember, this is the same guy who dove to the bottom of Challenger Deep, so he probably knows something about, er… something. Apparently, one of the next big projects for James Cameron has nothing to do with 100 year old wrecks or ten foot tall blue people who plug their pony tails into their dragons. The director and his wife are ready to convince all of you to eat nothing but plants. For your health? Not just that… it’s also to stop global warming, of course. Film director James Cameron and his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, an actor and model, are

You know, the earth "wiggles" around every few thousands of years and the position of the poles move. When that happens, it gets colder or warmer and when it gets colder, ice sheets come a tumblin south down toward International Falls, which is probably cold enough already if you were to ask the residents.

In any event, not in our lifetime but before too long in cosmic terms, it´s gonna get awfully darn cold all the way down to about Kansas City give or take a few miles.

Too bad we think we are so damn smart about these things. The earth probably tires of teaching us lessons.

But wait! Maybe, just maybe, it´s not that those smart guys actually believe warming is a problem, maybe they are just using it to make money off the suckers. Hmmm....

Here in Big D, we are all the way to July 5th and haven´t even gotten close to 100 degrees yet. Just a couple of years ago, we had 73 days over 100 degrees, 42 in a row.

I had a family reunion a couple of years ago and scheduled it for May 31st to beat the heat. It was in the upper nineties all week long and topped out at 99 on the day of my reunion.

It´s not getting hotter, folks, it´s getting cooler. Maybe those old poles are shifting sooner than we thought.

What if it were shown that releasing more CO2 in the atmosphere was merely more plant food which increased greenery of the planet and barely effects its temperature? Guess what, it has been so shown.

BTW, take a look at Mr. & Mrs. Cameron´s minimalist main house and grounds —

A few years ago Carl Sagan was preaching Nuclear Winter. So if Global Luke Warming is a problem all we have to do is drop a few nukes and Nuclear Winter will cancel Global Luke Warming. Cameron and his buddies should set an example for the rest of us and go cave man. No electricity. No planes. No fires. Just run around in circles to keep warm in the winter.

These geniuses don´t understand that plants "inhale" CO2 and "exhale" oxygen. If you eat all the plants, then there will be MORE CO2 and less oxygen, thus turning their "theory" upside down. Besides, vegetarians fart a lot, which is the gaseous emission problem they seem to have with cows. Save the planet - eat a vegan.

How Hobby Lobby Split the

In the Hobby Lobby decision handed down last month, the Supreme Court was asked to strike a balance between women’s rights and religious freedom. But the major conflict that has erupted in the wake of that decision has been between religious freedom and gay rights. The resulting controversy has split gay-rights and faith groups on the left, with wide-ranging political fallout that some now fear could hurt both causes. One chapter of the controversy is set to close on Monday, when President Obama plans to sign a long-awaited executive order banning federal contractors from discriminating against gays and lesbians, according to

So Barack Obama is again using one of the most contemptible phrases in American politics — "economic patriotism." There are many credible reasons to despise this rhetorical construct. Patriotism, after all, is the attachment to one´s homeland, a nationalistic devotion to one´s country and the values that make it great. If a person not only resists things that are "patriotic" but opposes them, then logic dictates that the person is being unpatriotic. So the president is really asking one question: Why do you hate America? Instead of protecting tax loopholes that let corporations keep their profits overseas, let´s put some of that

Kerry explained why Israel was right to defend her citizens, and then told Candy that the terrorists in Gaza purposely maximize civilian casualties among their own people in order to elicit exactly the kind of questions she’s asking. But you know what? If you were running for office, you’d be wooing us single ladies, too. After all, we — unlike those democratic deadbeats known as men — show up to vote. At a political event in Wilmington, Delaware, on Thursday, President Obama devoted only 40 seconds to the shooting down of the Malaysian airline, his first statement to the world following the news. His emotionless reference to the attack as ‘a terrible tragedy’ seemed disconnected from the horrific moment, particularly as he immediately reverted to script to praise his administration and criticise Republicans. It was a far cry from President Reagan’s 1983 fierce denunciation of the Soviet shooting down of a Korean airliner as a ‘crime against humanity’. LOS ANGELES — Actor James Garner, whose whimsical style in the 1950s TV Western “Maverick” led to a stellar career in TV and films such as “The Rockford Files” and his Oscar-nominated “Murphy’s Romance,” has died, police said. He was 86. He was found dead of natural causes at his home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles Saturday evening, Los Angeles police officer Alonzo Iniquez said early Sunday. Police responded to a call around 8 p.m. PDT and confirmed Garner’s identity from family members, Iniquez told The Associated Press. There was no immediate word on a more specific cause of death. Garner had suffered a stroke in May 2008, just weeks after his 80th birthday.

This same policy is driving the historic surge of children at the border, as everyone from coyotes to illegal immigrant adults already in America seeks to use children to guarantee their safe passage into the country, or to protect them from deportation if they are illegally living here.
