One more reason the Democrats
may be toast this fall

Reuters, by Bill Schneider

Original Article

Democrats are apprehensive about this year’s midterm elections. They should be. Every indicator points to Republican gains in Congress. Two reasons are well known: President Barack Obama’s unpopularity and the historical record of midterm elections, when the president’s party almost always loses seats. The third major reason is the two-four-six rule. Those are the different base years for different offices: two years for the House of Representatives, four years for most governors, six years for the Senate. These base years dictate how vulnerable each party is. Here’s how it works: House members last faced the voters two years ago, in 2012, when Obama won

Bill Schneider is a moron, but I like the thrust of this opinion piece.

My state rep has already started to campaign using hand signed letters with teen girl door to door contacts. He has usually taken an election win for granted. We´ll see how shrill he gets at the Labor Day Democrat chicken dinner rally.

If it weren´t for voter fraud, democrats would NEVER win elections, well maybe except for San Fran, and Boston. Expect, as usual, massive voter fraud in November.

hate to pop bubbles, but I now live in a district near the North Coast, and it´s solid Democrat. These people would vote for Satan himself, horns, pitchfork, smell of sulfur and all, if we were running as an endorsed Democrat. It´s not just in the land of fruits and nuts, and it´s not just vote fraud. Many of our fellow citizens really are that stupid. And are proud to vote against the "Rescumlicans".

The real thing that is going to be toast is the American Citizen. Citizenship is rapidly becoming irrelevant. When our own government is sending airplanes and buses to third world countries and scooping up every unemployed, beggar or child to drag into our borders to turn them into little Democrat Party voting machines just so they can hang onto power in 2016 we have no Republic. In fact, we will not even have a nation. Our entire history and culture is what is toast. This disaster is the final successful dagger into the heart of our nation. And what saddens me the most is, people think everything is fine and they just keep right on going to the mall. What a horrible way for a once great nation to perish...to just be whittled away to nothing.

#7, the moral/civic rot and erosion have been going on under the radar for about a half century. Some among us thought (and prayed) that it would not come to its perverse fruition in our lifetimes. But it has.

This is one of those problematic stories which generally devolves into acrimony before you get a chance to wrap your head around the facts. I’m not the first person to bring it up – in fact I’ve seen it mentioned multiple times by the Hot Air commentariat – but the examples in high profile cases seem too weighty to ignore. The question at hand involves the media descriptions of suspects and victims in high profile crimes and the ever present, complicating factor of racial tensions in America. For the more heavily weighted side of the scale we need not look very

We’re being had. Again. For six years, President Obama has endeavored to will the country into accepting two pillars of his alternative national-security reality. First, he claims to have dealt decisively with the terrorist threat, rendering it a disparate series of ragtag jayvees. Second, he asserts that the threat is unrelated to Islam, which is innately peaceful, moderate, and opposed to the wanton “violent extremists” who purport to act in its name. Now, the president has been compelled to act against a jihad that has neither ended nor been “decimated.” The jihad, in fact, has inevitably intensified under his counterfactual

Events in Afghanistan and the Middle East have awakened the Western world to the existence of an existential threat. We are not confronting a specific grievance that could be remedied by negotiation. We are not faced simply with rogue regimes and insurgent groups that can be dealt with through sanctions and reciprocal menaces. The threat is rooted in biological and cultural conditions that we cannot change by politics, and which have in any case pushed politics aside. The Middle East is, as we are discovering, not one thing: on the contrary, it is a patchwork of communities whose peaceful coexistence depended

Somewhere out there, possibly in Rockaway, N.J., is a person who enjoys making senior citizens suffer. This hater of the aged decided to rain on their parade by reporting their 10-cent bingo game to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs this past May, according to the Asbury Park Press. But don´t place all the blame on that Grinch. For instead of laughing off the complaint — because come on, it’s 10-cent bingo at a senior home — New Jersey’s Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission made the decision to drop the hammer. President Obama has announced to the world that America’s police officers are as disruptive to civil society as Middle Eastern beheaders and Russian-backed rebels. Speaking to the U.N. General Assembly yesterday, he agreed with “America’s critics” who point out that America, too, has “failed to live up to [its] ideals; that America has plenty of problems within [its] own borders.” He went on to explain the particulars: In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri—where a young man was killed, and

Hundreds of Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men refused to sit next to women on an El Al jet from New York to Israel — and spent the 11-hour flight trying to bribe people to switch seats and loudly praying in the aisles when they refused. “It was an 11-hour long nightmare,” one of the passengers told Israel’s ynet news Web site after the Wednesday morning flight landed. The flight – on the eve of Rosh Hashanah – was not only delayed, but degenerated into chaos once in the air, passengers said. “Although everyone had tickets with seat numbers that they purchased in advance, they asked

The White House is bristling at the suggestion that President Obama is becoming more warlike and, therefore, more like his predecessor, George W. Bush. At the White House press briefing on Friday, reporters asked presidential spokesman Josh Earnest for his reaction to the cover photo of the Economist magazine, which depicts Mr. Obama in the flight suit worn by Mr. Bush during the Iraq war in 2003, with the new caption “Mission Relaunched.” It’s a reference to Mr. Obama renewing the war against Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria. But Mr. Earnest called “unfair” the suggestion that the president is suddenly

As White House Democrats prepare to stump in Massachusetts for Attorney General Martha Coakley in the governor’s race, a new Globe poll shows that national political conditions may be hobbling her chances for victory. Republican Charlie Baker holds a slender lead of 2 percentage points over Coakley, 40 percent to 38 percent, an inversion of last week’s survey, in which Coakley was ahead by 3 percentage points. Among voters who said they will “definitely vote,” Baker enjoys an advantage of 41 percent to 37 percent. That dynamic hints that Baker could benefit from a low-interest election, a possibility Coakley is looking to

FOR more than three years, Barack Obama has been trying to avoid getting into a fight in Syria. But this week, with great tracts of the Middle East under the jihadist’s knife, he at last faced up to the inevitable. On September 23rd America led air strikes in Syria against both the warriors of Islamic State (IS) and a little-known al-Qaeda cell, called the Khorasan group, which it claimed was about to attack the West. A president who has always seen his main mission as nation-building at home is now using military force in six countries—Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen

It was a not-untypical romantic scenario for Los Angeles: A lonely night, an ardent cougar out on the prowl for a mate, but stymied by—what else—traffic. In the way of a potential love match was the 101, the always-packed freeway that separates the San Fernando Valley from the Santa Monica Mountains. And this particular cougar—the four-legged kind—had no car. Undeterred, the mountain lion—known as P12 to scientists tracking his movements—took a risky path across streets beneath the freeway. As a result, P12´s offspring now populate the Santa Monica range—a victory not just for P12, the only cougar known to have made

Of all the malfeasances of William Jefferson Clinton the one that would have most justified a removal from office was not the Monica hijinks, even with the attendant lying under oath and absurd parsings of the word “is,” but the pardoning of Marc Rich — the billionaire international commodities trader and mammoth contributor to, er, Clinton. When the U.S. military strikes, its leaders often choose colorful code names for the operation that sometimes stick in history, like Operation Overlord or Rolling Thunder or Desert Storm. Not this time. The U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria doesn´t have a name. "I know of no plans at this point to name it," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said Thursday. Since World War II, almost every U.S. military operation, large and small, has had a code name. And that name usually sticks when veterans talk about the conflicts in which they participated, such
