Romney Was Right on
Several Major Issues, Observers Say

Newsmax, by Todd Beamon

Original Article

In the nearly 20 months since Mitt Romney lost the election to President Barack Obama, many of the former Massachusetts governor´s predictions have played out on the world stage. For instance, Romney called Russia the nation´s "number one geopolitical foe"; he pledged strong support for Israel amid tense relations with Iran and other neighbors; declared that corporations are "people" — and said that illegal immigration remained a continued threat to the American economy. As many realities have developed in the U.S. and abroad, Romney´s popularity has increased in national polls — and it is believed that he is considering a White House

As much as Romney is smarter than Obama, so is my dog. Obama has lowered the bar -- indeed, it could not get any lower. A turnip has more sense.

The last sentence negates the credibility of the entire article. The media will not let the preezy fade away any more than they let the Clinton´s do so.

The loathsome MSM had to bring Romney down because he was right, and Barack Hussein was wrong. Can´t have Barack Hussein´s intentional wrongness exposed - that would make the loathsome MSM look like the foolish toadies they are.

I guess it´s easy to be moral when morality is defined as whatever you need at that moment. Still, it’s annoying to listen to people with such a weird, unearned sense of their own moral superiority. In truth, they are utterly morally illiterate. These are folks who draw parallels between Hamas and Israel when the only parallel between the Israelis and the jihadist degenerates is that they share the habit of breathing oxygen. You’d be better off discussing ethics with your terrier. At least your dog isn’t going to come up with excuses for Ted Kennedy. They´re delusional in that they really

He’s baaaaack, like a bad penny. Yes, Barry Soetoro, also known as Barack Obama, has returned yet again to the state he calls “Massa-tu-setts,” in the bosom of the Beautiful People, Martha’s Vineyard. The Vineyard is the dream destination of every carbon footprint-obsessed Democrat billionaire with his own private jet — an island, four miles out into the ocean, far, far removed from the foul breath of the plebeians. Martha’s Vineyard — the ultimate gated community. Every imaginable amenity is at Obama’s beck and call, except one. There are no “DREAMERS” on Martha’s Vineyard. Oh sure, a handful of illegals may be lurking about

One reason predictions of a Mitt Romney victory in 2012 were inaccurate, say analysts, is that the turnout among certain Democrat constituencies — in particular blacks and Hispanics -- was greater than expected. And what a significant factor this is! Whether we call it getting out the vote, having a great “ground game” or just turnout, it can make or break an election. But while the phrase “getting out the vote” is well understood, there is a lesser known election strategy: getting in the vote. What’s the difference? While the former involves getting as many as possible of the set number

It’s not true, as his critics like to say, that the president who went to Cairo to tell the world his election heralded great new things for the Middle East now has nothing to show for it. When the history books are written, they will credit Barack Obama for making Richard Nixon look like Moses. Forty years ago this evening, in a televised address to the nation, Nixon told the American people that, effective noon the next day, “I shall resign the presidency.” Since then the man’s failings have been exhaustively chronicled, and on this sorry anniversary they’ve once again been dragged out

As millions of Americans struggle with additional increases in their healthcare premiums, loss of their preferred coverage, loss of family doctors, loss of full-time employment and other adverse effects of Obamacare implementation, we are seeing the resurrection of several timeworn arguments from its supporters on social media, advocacy groups, and of course, the modern-day media. Although many in number, certain stalwart augments of the Left get my attention in that key misrepresentations now seem to be woven into the fabric of the American masses.

In Herman Melville´s classic story "Billy Budd," the narrator ponders what could be the matter with the master-at-arms "who has an animus toward the young seaman known as Billy Budd." Therein ensues a discussion about "natural depravity: a depravity according to nature." Thus, "one who has this natural depravity can be described as having an …even temper and discreet bearing [which] would seem to intimate a mind peculiarly subject to the law of reason, not the less in heart he would seem to riot in complete exemption from that law, having apparently little to do with reason [other] than to employ

As the late, great Eric Hoffer once said, "Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket." So it is with feminism. There was a time in America when women couldn´t vote, when they weren´t allowed to work in the same professions as men and when they weren´t really considered the equal of a man. Feminism grew in response to that and even many men embraced it because they saw the inherent unfairness of society.

The events of the past few weeks on America’s southern border bring into clearer focus the Obama pledge to fundamentally transform America. By opening our borders to illegal immigrants, and pardoning those illegals already here as he plans through executive order, Obama will create millions of new citizens within a few years to help him transform America into a multicultural vacationland for the world’s footloose homeless with free food, housing, education, entertainment, and healthcare as drawing cards.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is such “a stubborn head” that he “refuses to understand anything.” So says Secretary of State John Kerry, reports the French weekly Le Canard Enchaine. Though satirical, Le Canard is known for excellent ties with French political insiders — especially with the Foreign Office in Paris, where, according to the paper, Kerry mocked the Israeli leader to several foreign ministers while seeking a Gaza cease-fire last week. Bad enough to bad-mouth an allied leader to Europeans who’ve been less than supportive of your ally. Worse to do it also in the presence of officials of two nations

The Obama courtship of Iran persists despite everything. It has been the president´s fixed intention from the first days of this presidency when he sent warm greetings to the regime and has proved utterly resistant to rebuff, to insult and to glaring failure. Obama is determinedly driving the policy toward the cliff, swerving around one huge blinking danger sign after another. Iran conspires to blow up a Saudi diplomat -- along with countless others -- in Cafe Milano, a popular Washington, D.C., restaurant? Keep driving. A recent poll by The Pew Research Center is reporting that America is more divided than ever. According to the poll, 66% of consistently conservative Republicans think the Democrats’ policies threaten the nation’s well-being and half (50%) of consistently liberal Democrats say Republican policies jeopardize the nation’s well-being. With everything that is going on in our country, all Americans should be united. So, what is it that has us divided? The issues that we are facing effects all Americans on both sides of the political fencefrom foreign policy disasters, wide-open borders to the economy.

Why the media bear moral responsibility
for the Gaza civilian casualties

Former Col. Richard Kemp, who was head of British forces in Afghanistan, has laid out with great clarity why the very media who bemoan the civilian casualties in Gaza bear moral responsibility for the carnage. The video below is short and eloquent, and should be viewed. But if you are in a hurry, the essence of his point is that Hamas deliberately uses children and others as human shields in order to gain media coverage of the victims. Without media coverage, there would be less incentive for this cruelty. But rather than my poor summation, please watch this video.

He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.” Williams, who won an Oscar for his supporting role in Good Will Hunting, will reprise his role as Theodore Roosevelt in the third installment of Night at the Museum this December. The president who spent years touting the withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq suddenly has had to distance himself from that action. At the White House on Saturday morning — less than 48 hours after authorizing airstrikes against Islamist militants and humanitarian air drops to save the lives of trapped Iraqi civilians — President Obama blamed his predecessor, George W. Bush, for the absence of American troops in Iraq and rejected the assertion that he could have left a small peacekeeping force in the war-torn nation. President Obama must really be teed off. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his once-loyal secretary of state and his likeliest successor, has gone rogue, criticizing his foreign policy as too timid. Obama responded with not one but two rounds of golf. Clinton, in an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg published by the Atlantic over the weekend, offered a withering comment on the Obama doctrine, described in shorthand by White House officials as “don’t do stupid [expletive].” Said Clinton: “Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle.” As the criticism became public, Obama was doggedly sticking with

It didn´t take long for Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) to embrace amnesty again. As soon as he won his Senate primary election against conservative Joe Carr, Alexander said it was "embarrassing" that Republicans have not yet passed a bill. Never mind that Alexander spent nearly his entire primary campaign trying to convince voters that he was against "amnesty" and would never dare to embrace it before the primary election. “I don’t know how it will affect our politics in the near term," Alexander told Politico of a comprehensive immigration bill. “I think it’s embarrassing for us not to deal with the problem, and

Hillary Clinton and congressmen alike have called on Obama to arm Syria’s rebels. But the president fumed at lawmakers in a private meeting for suggesting he should’ve done more. President Obama got angry at lawmakers who suggested in a private meeting that he should have armed the Syrian rebels, calling the criticism “horseshit.” The argument that America should have done more in Syria, made for years by foreign policy leaders in both parties and several members of Obama’s senior national security team, was brought back to the fore this past weekend.
