Madness on the border
Washington Times, by Editorial

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 7/5/2014 4:37:57 AM

The spirit of independence is alive in Murrieta, Calif., where townspeople heard that the federal government was about to send 170 illegal-alien children flooding across the border to their town in Riverside County. Three hundred residents stood in front of the buses, blocking the way. The federales withdrew, rerouting the buses to San Diego. But soon, the federales were on their way back. Allowing a crowd to block a public highway can’t be tolerated, but “the humanitarian crisis” on the border is the work of President Obama. The wishes of Murrieta are of no concern to this administration. No one can

This editorial gives far too much deference to this lawlessness ´just happening´. A real newspaper would dig in and find out the hard facts of WHO in the government planned and coordinated this Staged Event. I would guess it w/b the La Raza sympathizer ´Tsar´ Obama illegally appointed to precipitate this event.

And article did not Condemn the feckless RINOs doing the US CofC´s bidding to erase the border so they could get infinite minimum wage off-the-books temp labor at $5 an hour.

mexico has opened it´s southern border to incite a crisis in the United States. This action removed all doubt that mexico is a mortal enemy. Obviously, the fastest way to stop the invasion is for the United States to take mexico by the economic throat until it submits. But the traitorous democrats won´t ever do that. And no one in the opposition party has the nerve to denounce mexico for its open hostility against the USA which is breaking the backs of the American middle class.

It´s up to the Republicans to explain to Hispanic communities throughout the USA why they should not vote for the liberal Democrats, who essentially caused the current out of control situation along the borderline by constantly praising illegal aliens, and talking up massive amnesties for illegal aliens, especially the so-called proposed "Dream Act" that they are pushing to exempt all illegal alien children from being removed from the USA now and in the future.

Most Hispanic Americans understand that the USA cannot allow all comers to enter the USA and essentially compete for just about any scarce job out there against American workers, and hold down the wages for American workers in all industries where cheap foreign labor can be hired, or everyone employed in those industries will eventually be able to earn only about the minimum wage.

Unfortunately a lot of "Cheap labor" supporting Republicans are not in a credible position to do that.

In a fine piece of long journalism, Tampa Bay Times reporters Adam Smith and Michael Kruse provide Floridians with everything they need to know about Charlie Crist in a bit more than 10,000 well-chosen words. It’s not a pretty picture. But then regular TAS readers already know this, as do Floridians paying the slightest attention. “Knowing Charlie,” which begins on page one of last Sunday’s Times is a lot more than the usual journalistic he-said, she-said, and re-write from the files. It is the result of months of work by the two reporters, interviewing Crist’s supporters and detractors, as well as

The Obama years have taught us the sometimes frightening lesson that our Constitution and legal structure alone don’t secure the Republic. We also depend on norms — or an implied understanding of what sort of behavior is acceptable. Liberals have given this problem special attention, as Republicans have carried out most of the norm-violating. It turns out to be perfectly legal for a party that controls just one wing of Congress to announce that, unless the president offers up ideological concessions, they will unleash a potential worldwide economic calamity. There is likewise nothing in the Constitution stopping the opposition party

The Christian right has some things figured out. These days, Christian entertainment isn’t just the didactic “700 Club” — it includes spectacles as high-flying as History’s miniseries “The Bible” or as wacky as GSN’s “American Bible Challenge.” If these entertainments, relying as they do on knowledge of the source material, do any converting, that’s a fringe benefit; they exist to further galvanize the faithful in their beliefs. American atheists haven’t learned from these projects, it seems. The recently-launched AtheistTV, which is available over the Internet and through the Roku streaming device, frames itself as an outreach project of sorts. It consists

Russia said Tuesday that it had dispatched 280 trucks full of humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine, after NATO´s secretary-general warned that there was a "high probability" that Moscow would order troops to the war-torn region to aid separatist rebels. Russian television reported early Tuesday that trucks carrying 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid were headed to Ukraine. Reporters said the convoy of trucks, painted white and bearing a red cross, is part of an internationally agreed-upon mission under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross. NTV television showed hundreds of white trucks gathered at a depot outside Moscow, and said

TARAWA -- The Republic of Keera-Bass is a nation of 33 islands straddling the equator in the central Pacific Ocean. One of the islands was the scene of a World War II battle. Now there is a mission to recover the fallen. In November 1943, 18,000 U.S. Marines stormed the Pacific island of Tarawa. It was so heavily fortified that a Japanese commander boasted it would take a million men a hundred years to take the island. It took the Marines three days. Jim Morrow was one of those Marines. Wherever you look these days, the world seems like it’s on fire. New hot spots like Russia and Ukraine are competing with the old ones like Gaza and festering conflicts like those in Syria and Iraq – especially Iraq – are getting much worse. Even Afghanistan, which seemed in better shape than the other places, had a setback this past week. So, is there any good news out there? In fact, there is. Some of the most important countries in the world are making remarkable progress, affecting at least 1.5 billion people. Let´s start with Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world

When President Obama announced airstrikes this week in Iraq to address the humanitarian crisis and contain the alarming expansion of the Islamic State across Iraq, his reluctance was visible as he repeatedly said he would not send ground troops in Iraq. It was an ironic twist for a president who defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2008 presidential race in part because of his vow to withdraw U.S troops from Iraq, a conflict for which Clinton had voted as a senator. But as he steps into the quagmire in Iraq, the term-limited president will not have to face war-weary voters

President Obama has long ridiculed the idea that the U.S., early in the Syrian civil war, could have shaped the forces fighting the Assad regime, thereby stopping al Qaeda-inspired groups—like the one rampaging across Syria and Iraq today—from seizing control of the rebellion. In an interview in February, the president told me that “when you have a professional army ... fighting against a farmer, a carpenter, an engineer who started out as protesters and suddenly now see themselves in the midst of a civil conflict—the notion that we could have, in a clean way that didn’t commit U.S. military forces,

Well, something called the National Defense Panel has issued a fire bell in the night. But I don’t think anyone will hear it. Because a) it’s a government report and b) it’s a government report that people aren’t disposed to hear. No one wanted to hear George W. Three-time champ Tony Stewart is reviled—and beloved—for his take-no-prisoners, borderline-unhinged attitude. But we may never know whether he hit Kevin Ward deliberately. We all know how dangerous competitive racing can be. It’s not a regular occurrence, nor is it in any way the reason NASCAR has vaulted to the second-most watched sport in the United States behind football, but when you have drivers barreling down the track at speeds that can approach 200 miles per hour, the question is not if but when a horrific death will occur. What you don’t expect is for a car to collide with an unprotected driver.

The appointed senator already had an uphill battle against Rep. Steve Daines (D-Mont.) for a full term, and now Republicans are all but guaranteed to pick up the seat. Everything that Barack Obama touches seems to turn to dross. Think of it for a minute. He inherited a quiet Iraq (no American combat deaths at all in December 2009). Joe Biden bragged of the calm that it would be the administration’s “greatest achievement.” But by pulling out all U.S. peacekeepers — mostly for a 2012 reelection talking point — Obama ensured an ISIS wasteland. He put his promised eye on Afghanistan at last, and we have lost more soldiers there than during the Bush administration and a Taliban victory seems likely after more than a decade of lost American

The decision by Sen. John Walsh (D-Mont.) not to seek election in November in the wake of a plagiarism scandal is the latest piece of good news for Republicans as they strive to take control of the Senate in less than three months.
