For Obama, loss of the
Senate could be freeing

Washington Post, by Dana Milbank

The walls seem to be closing in on the Obama presidency. Iraq and Syria are overrun with terrorists. Violence is flaring in Ukraine and on Israel’s borders. A humanitarian crisis is developing on our own southern border, but immigration legislation, like most all legislation, is moribund. Probes of the veterans’ health-care system, the IRS and Benghazi are sucking up attention and the administration’s time. As President Obama fails to get any credit for the millions who have found jobs or gained health-care coverage on his watch, a nonpartisan Quinnipiac poll this week found that 33 percent of Americans consider him

Does Dana understand that Obama is either the most incompetent president in history, or else he´s executing the Cloward-Piven strategy with consummate skill? Those are the two possibilities. Everything else is just injecting political noise into the public bloodstream.

Actually, in Obama´s twisted mind, I´ll bet he agrees with Milbank. He´s the "woe is me" president and he wants nothing more than a good excuse to do more unilateral damage to this country.

The problem with this piece rests on this phrase, "what Obama has accomplished in the last six years". That is ALMOST NOTHING.

Liberals argue both sides of an argument. They say that Congress is do nothing but that is only because Reid has blocked almost all legislation in the Senate. If Republicans win, legislation will start to flow to BO´s desk, most of it he will NOT like. He will have to veto almost everything. Who will be the obstructionist then? That´s right, STILL the dems.

Dana seems to think there is this pent up desire to support BO but that was exhausted long ago. The public no longer thinks BO can get the job done. Further, they blame him for many of the scandals coming to light. Even worse, they are starting to dislike him. He has squandered the mountain of good will he started his presidency with.

The only thing BO will be freed to do is play more golf. He is too incompetent to do anything else.

"President Obama fails to get any credit for the millions who have found jobs or gained health-care coverage on his watch."

Oh, Obama deserves lots of credit - for being the worst president in American history by far, intentionally.

Millions lose their health insurance coverage. The lowest labor-force participation rate in over forty years. The Middle East ready to explode. America mocked by Russia and China. Ukraine gobbled up by a resurgent Russia.

Obama is proud of his record. After all, he is transforming America (and the world), just as he promised.

Gridlock was the expectation of our Constitutional founders. Only when the House, the Senate, and the President are working on an issue of true national interest such as our national defense, can they be counted on to work together. When the President is working on amnesty for illegals, the House is working on reducing spending, and Harry Reid is editing all House bills to remove any section calling for fiscal restraint, our founders designed the system to lock up. Well done founders.

Replacing Harry Reid will end the editing of sections calling for fiscal restraint. It might also allow the completion of Yucca Mtn.

KIEV, Ukraine — The quest for clues in the downing of a Malaysia Airlines jet faced major obstacles Friday as the rebel militias that Ukraine blames for the disaster limited access to the mammoth crash site strewn with airplane parts and bodies. Ukrainian officials were trying to negotiate safe passage for teams of investigators and international observers deep in territory held by the pro-Russian separatists in the east of the country. The fate of the airplane’s black-box data recorders, which could give crucial information about the plane’s final moments, was unclear, with neither side acknowledging possession. DETROIT — On the night before her Friday keynote address to a gathering of progressive activists here, Sen. Elizabeth Warren tried to slip into a hotel restaurant for a quiet dinner. But the former law professor has become a liberal superstar, and when a few admirers spotted her walking to the corner of the dining room, they cheered loudly. Then one urged her, “Run for president!” The next morning at Netroots Nation, where Warren (D-Mass.) gave a fiery sermon for economic populism — “The game is rigged, and it isn’t right!” —

Israel accepts an Egyptian-proposed Gaza cease-fire; Hamas keeps firing. Hamas deliberately aims rockets at civilians; Israel painstakingly tries to avoid them, actually telephoning civilians in the area and dropping warning charges, so-called roof knocking. “Here’s the difference between us,” explains the Israeli prime minister. “We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians, and they’re using their civilians to protect their missiles.” Rarely does international politics present a moment of such moral clarity. Yet we routinely hear this Israel-Gaza fighting described as a morally equivalent “cycle of violence.” This is absurd. What possible interest can Israel have in cross-border fighting? MOSCOW — A suspected Russian-made surface-to-air missile downed a Malaysia Airlines jet in a separatist-controlled corner of eastern Ukraine on Thursday, prompting the Ukrainian government to denounce an “act of terror” that killed all 298 people on board. U.S. intelligence officials confirmed, but could not identify the origins of, the missile strike that led to the deadliest downing of a civilian passenger plane in recent decades. One Ukrainian government official, however, said the Boeing 777 traveling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur appeared to have been hit by an advanced Russian-made missile system that recently came into the hands of the
