Father of Nicole Brown Simpson Dies
NBC News, by Phil Helsel

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 7/4/2014 10:52:58 PM

The father of Nicole Brown Simpson died Thursday after battling a lengthy illness, his family announced Friday. Louis Brown Jr., 90, whose ex-son-in-law O.J. Simpson was accused of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson in 1994, died with his family at his side, a family spokeswoman said in a statement. O.J. Simpson, 66, currently in prison on a 2008 robbery conviction, was acquitted of his wife’s murder in 1995 after a closely-followed trial. Louis Brown would go on to form the Nicole Brown Charitable Foundation after his daughter’s death, which is an organization that helps victims of domestic violence.

Comments:
For myself, who watched most of the OJ Trial twenty years ago, this is sad. Especially since his lovely daughter was murdered by such a phony "icon" in the black community. R.I.P.

RIP Mr. Brown. You lived many years after knowing what your daughter endured. Those years must have been brutal.

Hope you get a chance to drop kick OJ´s ass straight to hell when his time finally comes.

The nation’s highest immigration court has found for the first time that women who are victims of severe domestic violence in their home countries can be eligible for asylum in the United States. The decision on Tuesday by the Board of Immigration Appeals in the case of a battered wife from Guatemala resolved nearly two decades of hard-fought legal battles over whether such women could be considered victims of persecution. The ruling could slow the pace of deportations from the Southwest border, because it creates new legal grounds for women from Central America caught entering the country illegally in the surge this summer

In a polarized region and a complicated world, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria presents a unifying threat to a broad array of countries, including the United States. What’s needed to confront its nihilistic vision and genocidal agenda is a global coalition using political, humanitarian, economic, law enforcement and intelligence tools to support military force. In addition to its beheadings, crucifixions and other acts of sheer evil, which have killed thousands of innocents in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, including Sunni Muslims whose faith it purports to represent, ISIS (which the United States government calls ISIL,

After more than three years, almost 200,000 dead in Syria, the near collapse of Iraq, and the rise of the world’s most sinister terrorist army — the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, which has conquered vast swaths of both countries — President Obama’s admission this week that “we don’t have a strategy yet” to deal with this threat is startling. It is also dangerous. The president clearly wants to move deliberately and consult with allies and Congress as he considers what to do about ISIS. No one disputes that goal. But the threat ISIS poses only grows over time. It cannot be contained. It must be confronted. This requires a comprehensive strategy,

Bogota, Columbia - A mystery illness has overwhelmed a small town in northern Colombia as scores of teenage girls have been hospitalized with symptoms that parents fear could be an adverse reaction to a popular vaccine against cervical cancer. Authorities say they still don’t know what caused more than 200 girls in El Carmen de Bolivar to come down with symptoms (Snip) Some have hinted that the town of 95,000 near Colombia’s Caribbean coast could be experiencing a rare case of mass hysteria. Parents are on edge however because all the girls, ranging in age from 9 to 16, were injected in recent months with Gardasil, an HPV vaccine.

When Steubenville High School’s Big Red football team kicks off its season Thursday night in Ohio, wide receiver Ma’lik Richmond is expected to take to the field. One of two football players convicted of raping a teenage girl in a case that made headlines around the globe, Mr. Richmond served a year in a juvenile detention facility and must register as a sex offender. As he and his teammates suit up, questions loom: What’s the right balance between punishment and having the chance to get back on track in life? Given the images showing crass indifference toward the victim, and the failure by some adults to respond appropriately,

Ramallah, West Bank - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas blamed Hamas on Friday for extending fighting with Israel in the Gaza Strip, casting doubt on the future of the Palestinian unity government that the Islamic militant group backs, while Israel´s premier said the end of the war could mark resumption of peace talks with Abbas. Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that it is still early to tell "if the new reality" would allow a political process to resume but said he is examining the possibility. Hamas is designated by the US State Department as a terrorist organization, and the group´s founding charter calls for the destruction of Israel. I feel confident in saying that most Americans are disgusted by the perfectly legal practice of U.S. companies avoiding taxes by incorporating in another country. So why does it take a whopper of a story to get the media to pay attention? Burger King, as you know, is moving to buy the Canadian chain Tim Hortons, and this is more about dollars than doughnuts. Megyn Kelly was incredibly bewildered Thursday night at President Obama‘s comment about having no concrete Syria strategy yet. Ed Henry was very blunt in telling Kelly that this is an unqualified “disaster” for the White House. Henry admitted he was “stunned” that none of his colleagues in the briefing room followed up on that remark of the president’s, especially considering how quickly after the presser the White House jumped right into “damage control mode.” And whereas last night Henry blew Kelly’s mind by telling her Obama would be attending one fundraiser on Friday, he told her tonight that actually, it’s going to

The last two Republican candidates for president have been among the weakest GOP candidates in 50 years. Barack Obama presented Mitt Romney with a gift in 2012: A struggling economy, sluggish growth, a paucity of jobs, and a health care law that was extremely unpopular. In what should have been a landslide rejection of Obama´s policies, Romney flubbed it big time and allowed his opponent to define him - and Republicans - in the most unflattering way imaginable. intelligence community has observed a “significant increase” in chatter among terrorist organizations as the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks nears. “We’ve noticed a significant increase in chatter among Islamic terrorist organizations overseas both on the Internet and phone lines,” a U.S. government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Blaze. While the intelligence community can not pinpoint whether or not an attack is planned, the official said that agencies “did see this kind of increase in chatter before the September 11 attacks.”
