Who needs Fourth of July fireworks when you have Joan Rivers around? The comedian known for her lack of self-censoring recently officiated a same-sex wedding and was asked by a photographer if she believed the United States would ever see the first gay or female president. Her response was typical Rivers. "We already have it with Obama, so let´s just calm down," she said. "You know Michelle (Obama) is a trans." When asked to further explain Rivers said, "A transgender. We all know it." A representative for Rivers released the following statement to CNN from the comic about her remarks to

Well Obama has a way of personally associating himself with any event or population group that comes into the news. Joan probably thought that she would just help Obama along with a gay personal association to add to his collection of personal associations.

It was a setup and a perfect Alinsky tactic. Get ahead of bad news in such a way as to make it outrageous. Then when some credible source outs Obama as gay, it can be laughed off too.

Doubt Michelle had a sex change. That´s too severe and takes a long time, but her hubby is gay. It was obvious first time I saw him on TV during Kerry´s convention in 2004.

I´ve been a fan of Joan since grammar school. My sister and I would watch her on a little black and white tv while she subbed for Johnny Carson. We were supposed to be asleep.

She is still fantastic because nobody gets a pass. She makes tons of jokes about herself, all the time.

The comment is only funny because it is sooo close to the truth.

The truth being Barry is a bi-sexual mess and Michelle is a just on the edge, potentially explosive bruiser who could hold her own in the NFL.

Not that there´s anything wrong with any of that.

Desperately looking to fire up their base, Democrats are on the hunt for the next Todd Akin — a loose-talking Republican candidate who can be cast as being so far outside of the mainstream that they tarnish the GOP’s image and dampen its chances of taking over the Senate. “We know this is the Democrats’ playbook and we know that the media will play along with it,” said Kevin Madden, a GOP strategist who worked on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. “It’s important that Republican candidates don’t allow their races to become some proxy fight over something another candidate said

Anyone who has made even a passing glance at the Israeli media in the past few days will have noticed the incredible chorus of criticism being directed at John Kerry right now. The secretary of state has been lambasted by all sides for his apparent failure in attempts to negotiate a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Mitt Romney has used a social media platform to share pictures of a recent family vacation he and his wife Ann took with five of their 22 grandchildren. The Romney clan undertook what the former presidential candidate describes as a ´family tradition´ of hiking through the American West. ´My Mom and Dad began the tradition, showing their grandchildren the majesty of our country and teaching them about the sacrifices and character of the pioneers,´ Romney wrote. When The Times of Israel’s Avi Issacharoff first reported the content of John Kerry’s ceasefire proposal on Friday afternoon, I wondered if something had gotten lost in translation. It seemed inconceivable that the American secretary of state would have drafted an initiative that, as a priority, did not require the dismantling of Hamas’s rocket arsenal and network of tunnels dug under the Israeli border. Yet the reported text did not address these issues at all, nor call for the demilitarization of Gaza.
