The Obama Presidency Unravels
Commentary Magazine, by Peter Wehner

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/4/2014 11:14:11 AM

The Obama presidency has unraveled. The man who liberal political commentators once said was the rhetorical match of Lincoln is now considered by one-third of Americans to be the worst president since World War II, according to a new Quinnipiac University National Poll. (The span covers 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies.) The same poll found that 45 percent of Americans say the nation would be better off if Mitt Romney had won the 2012 presidential election, while only 38 percent say the country would be worse off. Another poll–this one from the Gallup organization–finds that in his sixth

Comments:
I just don´t understand commentators such as Wehner saying his presidency is unraveling. Unravel definition: to fail or begin to fail. Obama is anything but failing to accomplish his evil deeds. Wehner is right about one thing, this won’t end well.

I guess to use the word unravel depends on one´s perspective. I promise you Obama does not see this way at all.

If Obama is surprised about anything I think it is that he hasn´t been able to goad us into an uprising so he could use all the toys his administration has collected to put us in our place, ( bullets, guns, tanks etc.).

Didn´t Romney receive more than 45% of the vote in 2012? Why do I think poll numbers for Obama would be much worse without slanted questions and cherry picked respondents?

Narcissists don´t do well when people stop fawning over them.

I dislike the implication that BO presidency is "unraveling", like there was something there to begin with. It is more like his façade is crumbling. As each event proves that he has no leadership ability, is an ideologue who proceeds against the face of reality, and is massively incompetent, his carefully crafted image has been stripped from him piece by piece until all but his most delusional supporters KNOW he is a failure. Even the hard left is unhappy with him because he isn´t able to push their nutty agenda hard enough or fast enough.

Conservatives who questioned his credentials from the beginning KNEW the fool had no experience to lead the country. There never was a presidency, only a bunch of dudes on an awesome adventure.

Once he is gone the gory details of his dealings will be exposed and people will be shocked to know how corrupt this administration was. How did the media not know this? How did the people not know? Willing ignorance and self delusion are the reasons. Understandable in individuals. Disastrous in the media, who we now know cannot be trusted to do their jobs.

I think Wehner is right about the unravelling, not because he´s failing at his original intent to hurt America, but because he can´t hide it anymore. People are going to come out of the woodwork to get rid of this guy over the next few months because of the damage he´s doing, and all the intimidation techniques he´s been using will backfire. In that way his carefully constructed illusions are being shattered; all along this has not gone well for America, why should it end well? The only happy ending will be when this long national nightmare is over.

It’s been two months since ISIS took over Iraq’s second largest city. But U.S. analysts are still trying to figure out how big the group is and the real identities of its leaders. The U.S. intelligence community is still trying to answer basic questions about the jihadists who tried to wipe out Iraq’s remaining Yazidis and who now threaten to overrun the capital of the country’s Kurdish provinces. In a briefing for reporters Thursday, U.S. intelligence officials said the government is in the process of re-evaluating an estimate from early this year that said the Islamic State of Iraq and

WASHINGTON - The US administration has halted a shipment of Hellfire aerial anti-armor missiles to Israel, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing government sources. The sources noted that Israel had requested the transfer of ammunitions directly from the Pentagon, without receiving the approval of the White House or State Department officials. "We were blindsided," one US diplomat said, while a US defense official insisted that "there was no intent to blindside anyone. The process for this transfer was followed precisely along the lines that it should have." According to the sources, White House officials were concerned about Israel´s use of artillery,

For example, as Mooney noted in a Tuesday post, a GOP president, Richard Nixon, established the EPA. Mooney reports, however, that in the early 1990s the party as a whole grew distinctly more hostile towards environmentalism. He touches on several possible explanations, including a backlash against the newly elected vice president, Earth in the Balance author Al Gore, as well as a theory that after the Soviet Union collapsed, environmentalists succeeded Communists as major objects
