This month’s jobs headlines
don’t tell the true story

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

The headline of today’s jobs report, that 288,000 jobs were created in the last month, is positive. At least, it is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. However, as with most economic reports these days, there is a veneer of good news — but when you look closer, the White House is using the positive headlines to hide the growing deterioration of the American workforce. I’m sure by now people are tired of reading about the bad news, and I’ll admit I am weary of having to blow the whistle and expose the truth every

The real number is the labor force participation rate. It´s the lowest it´s ever been since 1973 at 63%. Only 63% percent of the available people work. That 37% equals about 95 - 100 million people who are not working.

As Rogers concluded, 2016 can’t get here fast enough.

And yet the administration keeps issuing H-1B visas (for foreign workers to take American high-tech jobs, among other degreed positions, like biotechies, engineers and doctors).

Mr A, software engineer, facing his fifth lay-off in September, along with many co-workers (this lay-off from a three-year defense contract not renewed by the gubmint after two years--for no good reason), accepted a job offer last week. It pays less than his current job, which paid less than the one before--but gave him a 2% raise in April.

Getting the lay-off warning shortly after New Year´s, A studied night after night to add certification for Linux 1 and then Linux 2 to his qualifications. We think it helped because it shows that even an old fogey still has a highly functional brain. (He already had a load of other software certifications and secret clearances, etc.)

Is it any wonder workers lose hope, become discouraged and depressed?

We´re thrilled A found another job at his age, given the state of the country. Advice to other techies: keep getting those bits of paper--they could make a difference in getting a job offer. And sign up for LinkedIn. It generated several inquiries from company in-house recruiters--and resulted in two interviews, and one acceptable job offer.

FTA "Losing more than half a million full-time jobs in one month is not indicative of a strong, growing economy. It’s a red light flashing on the nation’s dashboard."

We all know the economy is tanking and there are few new full time jobs yet the Chamber of Commerce continues to demand the GOP pass amnesty? There isn´t a need for more laborers but more jobs. Is the Chamber in cahoots with obama and the Democrats makes one wonder.

The MSM is in fact purposely misrepresenting the already devious labor statistics. Virtually all of the increase in "new" jobs was for part-time positions. Employers are cutting full-time jobs and replacing them with part-time jobs in order to cut benefits costs, which are soaring.

Our local news station was all bubbly about the fake "rebound" in the economy, and showed a clip of a triumphant Obama at some plant going on about how great the turnaround is. They have no shame. It´s massive deception and pure propaganda.

As far as 2016 can´t get here soon enough... Can´t say I´m very optimistic. I don´t believe conservatives will unite, leaving another radical leftist in the White House. Hope I´m wrong.

The only reason that the stock market is doing well is that the Feds are pouring $billions into it every month. Your tax dollars. Are you getting quarterly dividend checks from your investment?

If the Feds stop propping up the markets, they will tank. Then what? 1929, anyone? Is this, like the border mess, just another arm of Cloward-Piven?

The Washington Post is pretty much an inside the beltway source of news. People in that area have never had it so good. They aren´t suffering like the rest of the country. They also have some of the highest salaries in the country. Six of the top ten counties in the USA according to income are in the DC area, in Maryland (2) and Virginia (4).

Mr. Rogers thank you for this report, however, it would have been a much better indication of what is wrong in America and government in particular by telling the fact that the democratic party has become completely controlled by Marxist communists as has the majority of the federal bureaucracy; all working hand in hand with Marxist Obama to destroy free America.

There are many Marxist communists in the republican party who also want to see America fail and turn to Marxist communism.

Step 1. Destroy Christianity by getting false teachers into control of their denominations, divide and conquer.

Step 2. Unleash unbridled immorality among the people as being completely acceptable by most even those who profess to be Christian.

Step 3. Destroy the economy by forcing businesses to adhere to regulations that in time will bankrupt them and the people.

Step 4. Destroy the money by printing and putting into circulation trillions of dollars that make the money worth less everyday until it is worthless, and we are fast approaching that point.

Step 5. Now most of he people will have to rely on the new Marxist government for support or they will just die off or be killed to decrease those who do not agree with the new government.

Uh oh, someone with a brain read the employment numbers. The entire media plucked the 288,000 jobs created number for their headlines without detailing that half of those jobs were just part time and that the 63% of the available people working is the lowest since 1973. A nice little spin for Captain Zero.

Don´t know if I´m going to get spanked or not for doing this but if you want to get real good, real data accuracy with jobs, etc, Mike Shedlock (Mish) does an excellent job, although I disagree with many of his personal opinions. Mish JUST went through the latest BLS data and explains it in detail and in a way that even a Rio Lindan can understand. Also, ZeroHedge is real good (and the comments are truly brilliant laugh riots). My recent fave is Chris Martensen at peakprosperity. Check out his 50 minute crash course too. I have to pour a lot of salt on shadowstats but much of it is pretty good.

BTW, the mighty ship thing bereft of a rudder in the first article is very inaccurate if you know Cloward and Piven, Obama and Vallerie are driving the ship exactly where they want it to go, on purpose, with malice and forethought. Beck was right in 2009 when he said it´s all by design.

There is a trend with the monthly job reports. The first job report is extremely positive and rosey. The second job report comes out a few days later, and is extremely negative and 180 degrees opposite the first.

Here in the Socialist Republic of New York, we see commercials claiming New York to be the fast growing state job wise.

Look around, and the job outlook is terrible so you know which job report is true.

#3, Congratulations to you and Mr. A. I´ll bet Mr. A is sharp as a tack. We old fogeys are the ones who hold a lot of workplaces together. We´re experienced, and we´re not afraid of honest hard work.

A lot of the current obsession with young workers is, in my opinion, based on the ability of managers to manipulate young people, who are generally much less experienced and much less willing to speak up. (I can tell you stories...) Too many managers in Corporate America wants drones, not honest, decent, plain-spoken workers. There is a lot of employment discrimination against workers over 50, and it´s scary for us who have been around a while.

Once again, congratulations.

MIAMI -- Hillary Clinton covered all her bases in Miami on Thursday: She padded her wallet with a paid speech, pitched her memoir with a book signing and fundraised for a Democrat in a critical presidential state. This is becoming a familiar formula for Clinton. In October alone Clinton has four trips planned -- to Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas and San Francisco -- where she will combine a paid speech with either a book event or a fundraiser for a Democratic candidate or group. The strategy is part logistical, part practical for Clinton. But as she considers a presidential run in 2016,

I have written frequently that I estimate that one-third of the mortgage foreclosures in the 2007-10 period were of Hispanic homebuyers. Very many had been granted mortgages, despite bad or dubious credit, by lenders who then fobbed them off on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac or other mortgage securitizers, in the meantime gaining brownie points with regulators for lending to “minorities.” Evidence supporting this comes, inadvertently, from an Urban Institute report spotlighted by the industrious and provocative blogger Steve Sailer. "And he was so amazed at how Americans organized themselves -- you know, coming from aristocratic Europe, which was totally top-down and hierarchical -- he couldn´t believe how many of us were joiners.
