Litigating Lost E-mails
American Thinker, by Bruce Walker

Original Article

Posted By:geo11, 7/4/2014 3:22:00 AM

Obama seems to think that stonewalling Congress regarding the hidden e-mails that obviously incriminate his toadies at the IRS is a winning strategy. The leftist establishment media is ignoring the scandal. The House of Representatives has already found Lois Lerner in contempt, a stark and direct condemnation, yet the arrogance of Obama’s flacks remains untouched. What can the House of Representatives do about this mess?

Comments:
The courts have not been kind to Barry. The IRS has shown nothing but contempt towards Congress.

Contempt works both ways. Congress should rewrite tax laws to get rid of the IRS through something like a flat tax.

What a joke! By the time this winds through the courts and a verdict is reached, Obama will be living on his private island, golfing with his grandchildren.

This should have been done at least 3 years ago. There is not nearly enough time to follow through with this strategy to start with. In addition, the institutions that would be part of this process have been so corrupted in the last few years as to be useless.

Something more direct must be done. This plan is too late.

This ploy also assumes Democrats feel shame and we all know they have no such feelings. All these machinations are really silly when the Constitution sets out the most direct way to handle an out of control President: Impeachment and Removal from office.

The House and Senate as presently configured have no stomach for the work of real men.

Deep in the desert of Utah is a government data center. The center, comprised of long, low buildings spanning 1.5 million square feet, is filled with super-powered computers storing unbelievably massive amounts of information gathered secretly. What information is being collected? Information about you, Joe Average citizen. Your phone calls and emails are being stored, all in the name of protecting our country from potential terrorists -- terrorists like you, even though your call or email is as banal as, “Honey I’ll be home in 30 minutes.” You probably have never said or typed, “I’m planning to bomb the Freedom Tower.”

The unaccompanied children flooding our southern border are not refugees and do not qualify for asylum under U.S. law or international law. It is worth noting that border patrol agents are telling reporters that these “children” often look 24 years old and that some have gray hair. With no documentation, they have been coached to say they are 17. We don’t have any documentation as to what countries they are actually from. Many of these “unaccompanied minors” are accompanied by one or two parents. That’s politics.

Let’s face it: if you want to see the workings of thought disorder, you have to do a Rorschach. I once did a Rorschach on a man who was experiencing a psychotic disorder. In card after card he reported seeing vaginas. He was an intelligent, highly educated man. He had sufficient self-observing ego to be embarrassed, but not to filter sexually oriented responses. He eventually quipped, “Isn’t there some Woody Allen joke about you’re the crazy one for showing me all these dirty pictures?” Of all the elements of consciousness, the problem of sex is the most clamorous.

The left wing ideologues currently in control of America want us to believe that they care about all the “children” at our border. It isn’t the first time they have used children to push an agenda. They have even been using Jesus as a propaganda tool. Playing on our emotions, and appealing to our kind nature has worked. No doubt some of the low information crowd who blindly support the left believe they are being compassionate by welcoming lawbreakers “who just want a better life” with open arms. Many just believe the left is pro illegal immigration because these immigrants

On Thursday in eastern Ukraine – where Russian-supported separatists have declared an autonomous state – a plane with civilians on board was shot down. The plane did not crash and it did not "collapse" – as was written by some of the Russian media – it was shot down from the ground. We in Russia know this – if not from our own news organizations, then from several video commentaries, including one in which a little boy says, "Look! A junta plane has been shot down! ‘Here’s the difference between us,” Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained on Fox News Sunday. “We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians, and they’re using their civilians to protect their missiles.” It’s a classic talking point. It’s also objectively true, and that truth is very frustrating for Israel’s critics. All one needs to do is delve into the muck of Twitter and read the timelines for such hashtags as #GazaUnderAttack and #GenocideInGaza: “They’re killing the women and children to ensure there won’t be a new generation of Palestine.” “One Holocaust can NEVER justify another.”

A lasting legend from Russia’s Communist Revolution illustrates the attitude of the Progressive Left toward the middle class: the examination of rounded up citizens by the revolutionaries. If a captive’s hands weren’t calloused, he was executed. That doesn’t fit America; better to enlist the citizens in the deconstruction. Though slower than the Russian approach, that hasn’t proven difficult; the left´s programs are popular with voters. America’s middle class is a historical anomaly, a result of combining British government and jurisprudence; classical liberalism; a disparate stream of immigrants and an entire new,

One sign of an imperial government is that it does what it wishes with whole populations. It can shift some here; move some there. It can deport some there; import some here. Who will say “No” when facing armed might? Authoritarian governments can pretty much do what they wish to do. The motives behind moving whole populations via executive fiat break down into two main categories. One is to prevent revolution and unrest by moving and quarantining what are considered indigestible peoples in order to weaken their resistance to the powers that be.

For some reason the cameras that are banned on the border were not banned from the Wynkoop Brewing Co. pizza and pool hall in Colorado where, in lieu of the middle finger, Barack Obama flipped a pool stick at America, banged back a few brewskis and yukked it up with Democratic governor John Hickenlooper. Cameras being banned from liberal policy hubs most assuredly indicates that whatever is going on there, if truth be told and visuals matched with verbal accounts, the American people would be horrified. That’s probably the reason why cameras are banned from abortion clinics and sonograms are opposed

Texas Governor Rick Perry went on Hannity tonight to discuss the illegal immigrant crisis at the US southern border. Perry shared these shocking numbers on the current crisis. “Sean, there have been over the course of the last five years, since the fall of ’08, over 203,000 individuals who have come into Texas illegally who have been booked into our county jails. Those individuals have accounted for over 3,000 homicides and over 8,000 sexual assaults. We can’t afford to wait for Washington to secure this border. We’ve had enough.”

President Obama told Democratic donors Wednesday night that most Americans don’t have time to think about the details of the Benghazi terrorist attack or the problems with Obamacare. Speaking at a fundraiser at the Los Angeles home of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes, the president took his usual shots at the Republican Party, suggesting its members are focused on the wrong issues and frequently “obfuscate and they bamboozle and sometimes don’t say what’s true.” And because people are not familiar with the intricacies of many public-policy issues, Republicans can get away with such obfuscation, he said. “The Republican

I received a call from my sons’ school in March telling me that my oldest needed to be picked up early. He had been given a one-day suspension because he had thrown a chair. That journalist was Lucinda Franks and while her latest book, “Timeless: Love, Morgenthau, and Me,” doesn’t have much to do about the Clintons, the part that does offers never before reported information from a 1999 interview with the former First Lady. The New York Daily News obtained parts of the book a month before its scheduled August 2014 release.

Colchester – Experts estimate there are nearly 300 adult loons living on Vermont´s lakes and ponds, up from just a couple dozen 30 years ago. On Saturday, more than 200 volunteers spread out across Vermont for the annual loon survey. The results of the survey are trickling in, but Eric Hanson of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and the coordinator of the Vermont Loon Conservation Project, said there are many more birds now than just a few years ago. He said 15 years ago there were around 100 loons. In 1983, biologists counted only 29. "It is a decent, stable population. I'm hoping that actually things do start to level out.

The chairman of the Federal Election Commission today blasted Democratic colleagues opposed to his effort to protect conservative media after they imposed rules on the publisher of Rep. Paul Ryan´s new book, opening the door to future book regulations -- or even a ban. "By failing to affirm this publisher’s constitutional right, statutory right, to disseminate a political book free from FEC conditions and regulations, we have effectively asserted regulatory jurisdiction over a book publisher,” warned Chairman Lee E. Goodman, one of three Republicans on the six-person FEC.
