HHS releases 1,296 pages
of regulations ahead of
holiday weekend

Washington Examiner, by Philip Klein

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/3/2014 9:26:19 PM

As Americans scrambled ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend on Thursday afternoon, the Department of Health and Human Services released 1,296 pages of new regulations dealing with payment rates to doctors and hospitals. The timing of the news release is part of a long pattern for President Obama´s administration, which has often used holidays as an opportunity to dump dense regulatory changes when most reporters and Americans are focused on their holiday plans. The release came at 4:15 p.m. Last year, the Obama administration used the days surrounding the July 4th holiday as an opening to announce a delay

Comments:
What new horrors are contained in those regulations? I´m sure doctors and Americans will be overjoyed about what is in them. s/o From what I scrolled through it is all a bunch of mumbo jumbo that is confusing and outrageous. They just never quit.

I scanned about 15 pages of it and the bottom line is that calculating what you can charge is a 15 step process. I´m sure there are payoffs to the unions, but radiation treatments and oncology get hammered. This appears to have elements of price fixing and denial of availability of the most effective treatment. Sounds like we are going to have a lot of people dieing because after signing up for Obamacare they can no longer get treatments they had been getting.

It´s beyond time for doctors, nurses, PAs, etc. and up citizens to ignore these regulations. If Barry and his sycophants can ignore laws and regulations with impunity, I don´t see why the rest of us can´t.

Too right, #3. It´s time to coin a new political phrase and act...call it the Civil Veto. Laws born of corruption, Marxism, etc. will simply be ignored. This should also apply to court cases eg gay marriage.

Even the federal leviathan can´t deal with a flood of noncompliance. They can throw their tantrums...we will merely ignore them.

Lawlessness you say? When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary.....

#2, on Page 74, they admit they don´t know how to adjust "time estimates", so they have two "projects" planned.
One will "convene groups of physicians from a range of specialties", and the other is being farmed out to the RAND Corporation, with a report due this fall.

Talk about a "make work" project!
This is geeks on steroids.

If denial of services is going to be the new norm for Obamacare, will private insurance companies jump on the chance to adopt the same regulations? This is where the price spike will occur, when you have to pay much more to get the same health care you were accustomed to getting.

I believe we fought a war against tyranny once. Obama is pushing us in that same direction. He mistakenly believes that Americans have no fight in them and looking at the pathetic politicians in Washington DC, you´d think he was right, but we are not politicians. We are Americans and you can just push us so far. All those law enforcement and military types are going to have to pick a side and I believe they won´t choose to be on the side of a sniveling little tyrant.

Maybe I´m wrong but this document dump seems to be exclusively for Medicare & Medicaid. This is in addition to the over 20,000 pages of regulations for 0bamaCare. What an underhanded way to discourage future doctors to-be & those currently still accepting Medicare/Medicaid patients.

One day the Congress will figure out that they cannot delegate to the Executive Branch the authority to write regulations. The Executive Branch agencies write regulations the spell out how the Executive plans to enforce the laws passed by the Congress and signed into law by the President. We have regulations that interpret law to mean whatever the Executive wants the laws to mean. See the ACA and regulations regarding contraception. These concepts were not found in the law but created by the Executive branch agency, Health & Human Services.

This is true for every Executive Branch agency. See Treasury, EPA, Education, Labor, and on and on and on.

Obama is certifiably insane, a psychopath/sociopath. That is a legitimate reason for impeachment and removal from the Oval Office. Notice to Congress, do it soon or the American people will. I promise there will be no dignity in our methods and there will be no further need for Congress once we get started.

The House made a bipartisan demand Friday that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson conduct a comprehensive review of the Secret Service and not just a probe of how they reacted to last month’s fence jumper. First, congressional accusations against Holder on the controversial “Fast and Furious” “gun walking” program have been proven factually wrong.
