Bush Center Immigration Reform
Panel Ignores Border Security

Breitbart Texas, by Bob Price

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/3/2014 9:19:11 PM

HOUSTON, Texas—The George W. Bush Institute held an immigration reform panel this week that completely ignored any meaningful discussion of border security. The panelists called for a "bipartisan approach" on fixing the immigration system. The panelists claimed immediate immigration reform would somehow reduce the burden on taxpayers, improve the economy, and ensure long-term health for the Republican Party. The panel’s message was being addressed, not just to the audience, but to the wider conservative voters of Texas, according to an article by David Flick in the Dallas Morning News. “The only way we will get absolute security at our borders is

It is absolutely infuriating to read pieces like this. No one seems to care about the sovereignty and security of this nation. It makes me angry and sick.

What do you expect as these are all cheap foreign labor and amnesty supporters, the cheap foreign labor faction is the exact group who started the mass uncontrolled illegal immigration situation in the beginning by hiring illegal aliens.

Imagine if a conservative could magically open a fence and let millions of conservatives into the country. Would any of these clowns still preach about "acts of love"?

The name Bush cannot be associated with any credible measures to provide border security. The Bush dynasty represents the corporate oligarchy that wants cheap labor.

One of the hardest things for me and my family has been taking off the rose-colored glasses where the Bushes are concerned. It´s painful for many many of us. So, this is why I am not surprised at this panel. OP, yes, infuriating in that a family with two former Presidents has no interest in our security or sovereignty MUCH LESS how the invasion affects so many average American towns. They have their fences and security. Their property will never be invaded by drug runners at night.

Federal judge halts key part

AUSTIN, Texas – A federal judge Friday threw out new Texas abortion restrictions that would have effectively closed more than a dozen clinics in the state. U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel sided with clinics that sued over one of the most disputed measures of a sweeping anti-abortion bill signed by Republican Gov. Rick Perry in 2013. The ruling stops new restrictions that would have left seven abortion facilities in Texas by Sept. 1. There are currently 19 abortion providers in the state, according to groups challenging the law. "The overall effect of the provisions is to create an impermissible obstacle as applied

President Obama admits to not having a strategy to deal with the terrorist crisis in Syria and appears stymied in stopping Russia’s drive into Ukraine, but that doesn’t mean Americans are off the hook for preparing their own disaster strategy. On Friday, the president declared September “National Preparedness Month,” a time when he wants the nation to set their own strategy for dealing with a killer crisis — like climate change. “Emergencies — from hurricanes and wildfires to cyber and terrorist attacks — can strike anywhere at any time. Americans should be familiar with local threats and hazards and take

President Obama´s gaffe Thursday that "we don´t have a strategy" for a broader fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is putting pressure on the Pentagon as reporters ask: Why not? "The question presumes that we´re not doing anything, that there´s no sense of urgency in the Pentagon. And you and I both know that´s not true," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said Friday after being pressed on the issue. "We have upped our military presence in the Persian Gulf. We´ve intensified surveillance flights over Iraq. The White House and the Defense Department denied on Friday multiple reports that an ill-fated attempt to rescue American photojournalist James Foley and other American captives in Syria failed because President Barack Obama took too long to green-light the mission. Earlier today, the British government raised its terror threat level to “severe,” suggesting a very likely terrorist attack by ISIS on British soil. In response, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson issued a statement saying the government is unaware of any “credible threat” on U.S. soil from ISIS. Johnson says, “At present, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are unaware of any specific, credible threat to the U.S. homeland from ISIL.” He does go on to acknowledge that they have the “intent and capability to target American citizens overseas,” and naturally they’re still “an active and serious threat within

Last night Fox News’ Ed Henry could barely contain how stunned he was about President Obama saying there’s no concrete strategy to combat ISIS in Syria yet. And at today’s press briefing, Henry really grilled Josh Earnest over Obama attending fundraisers just a day after that candid admission. Henry brought up the fundraising, as well as the golfing on vacation, and asked, “Is he detached? Does he feel like the critics coming after him––it doesn’t matter anymore? Why is he still raising campaign money, playing golf when he’s acknowledging he doesn’t have a strategy to deal with this?” Earnest insisted

The Silicon Valley power substation that was attacked by a sniper in April 2013 was hit by thieves early Wednesday morning, according to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, despite increased security. The substation, near San Jose, Calif., is the source of energy for thousands of customers, and the idea that it was the target of a well-organized attack, and that it might have been disabled for an extended period, raised anxieties about the possible broader vulnerability of the grid. The attack this week did not involve gunfire, and it did not seem intended to disable the facility. Early Wednesday, an unknown

So why does it take a whopper of a story to get the media to pay attention? Burger King, as you know, is moving to buy the Canadian chain Tim Hortons, and this is more about dollars than doughnuts. The last two Republican candidates for president have been among the weakest GOP candidates in 50 years. Barack Obama presented Mitt Romney with a gift in 2012: A struggling economy, sluggish growth, a paucity of jobs, and a health care law that was extremely unpopular.
