Stars and Stripes Jeeps color
Independence Day

No vehicle elicits greater feelings of freedom, adventure and patriotism like the Jeep. Two Jeeps in particular, a 1976 CJ-5 and a 2002 Jeep Liberty, wear their patriotic hearts on their galvanized sleeves. Painted in American flags, the Stars and Stripes Jeeps are the only two remaining Jeeps of four that were commissioned in the month following 9/11. “From a modern American history standpoint, they bookend United We Stand [and World War II],” says Nick Priola, a partner at the family-owned Truck and Auto Center in Highland Park, Ill. The “jeep” was solicited by the U.S. Army at the onset

I´m so sick of people pimping out images of the Stars and Stripes on everything from cars to paper napkins to t-shirts, swimwear and underwear. The image of the flag of the US should be on none of these items. Military insignia and actual flags. That´s it! The rest is disrespectful to the flag, and to all who revere it.

As President Obama authorizes both limited airstrikes on ISIS targets and the air-dropping of relief supplies to beleaguered religious minorities in northern Iraq, we thought it good to rewind to the early days of the war in Afghanistan when the liberal media criticized President Bush for both bombing al Qaeda and Taliban targets while simultaneously air-dropping food and medicine for civilians. From the October 10, 2001 Media Research Center CyberAlert digest by Brent Baker (emphasis mine) "Are the U.S. food drops on Afghanistan making matters worse? Some relief agencies say yes." So declared Peter Jennings at the top of Tuesday´s

Recently, a Florida woman won her court case against the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company over the company’s failure to properly warn smokers of the dangerous and addictive nature of smoking, after her husband died of lung cancer. She ended up walking out of the courthouse with a potential $23.6 billion in punitive damages. Clearly, companies in the past treated advertisements differently than they do today. Here are 17 that you’ll never see the likes of again: 1. Can you say “safety hazard”? 2. A product to help women gain weight? (Photos)

If you had said, one year ago, that the United States would have been militarily involved in a Middle East crisis, few people would have batted an eyelid. President Obama had spent months trying to convince the United States public and Congress that the United States needed to intervene militarily in Syria. However, the way that this intervention has panned out would surely surprise many. The United States is not intervening against Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian regime, as Obama had proposed. Instead, it is striking one of Assad´s biggest enemies, the extremist militia that calls itself the Islamic State.

College campuses in America are frequently teeming with all manner of liberals and trustafarian socialists who drive Volvos . Some of these schools are worse than others. Some are just egregiously awful. Here, The Daily Caller presents the 2014 rankings for the most annoying, rabidly politically correct, dirty-hippie, tree-hugging colleges and universities across the fruited plain. You have been warned. Swarthmore College in the suburbs of Philadelphia is a leftist hothouse full of wealthy white kids. In February, Swarthmore sophomore Erin Ching criticized her school for allowing a conservative — Christian thinker Robert George — to speak on campus.

(Video) Atheist groups say a Texas high school cheer team violated the separation of church and state by using banners inscribed with Bible scripture at its games. But the cheerleaders aren´t giving up without a fight, asking the state Supreme Court to weigh in on a controversial two-year-long battle, CBS News´ Adriana Diaz reports. The team began printing scripture onto its game banners in 2012, but the school received a complaint, leading the Freedom From Religion Foundation to write a letter to the Kountze school district. AP Analysis: Iraq upheaval

WASHINGTON— After years of resisting the pull of more Mideast conflicts, President Barack Obama has sent the military back into action in Iraq, where he once accused his predecessor of waging a "dumb war." U.S. planes on Friday bombed Islamic militants who were towing artillery outside Irbil near U.S. personnel, the Pentagon said. The aggressive insurgency threatens to undermine Obama´s legacy as the commander in chief who ended a long and unpopular war in which nearly 4,500 American troops died. It also raises fresh questions about whether Obama´s desire to end the war clouded his assessment of the risks of

Secretary of State John Kerry hailed President Obama for acting "expeditiously and appropriately" in authorizing airstrikes on ISIS/ISIL terrorists in Iraq. "The United States is acting and leading, and the world cannot sit by and watch innocents die," Kerry said in a statement issued Thursday night, shortly after Obama set three specific conditions for striking ISIS/ISIL terrorists. "ISIL’s campaign of terror against the innocent, including Yezedi and Christian minorities, and its grotesque and targeted acts of violence bear all the warning signs and hallmarks of genocide. For anyone who needed a wake-up call, this is it," Kerry said. "ISIL is fighting

Marilyn Tavenner, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, thought she had saved the emails as official records but now realizes they “might not be retrievable,” the Health and Human Services Department said in a letter to Congress detailing the problem. President Obama is impatient. Congress won’t act on immigration, he says, and therefore he will. The White House is coy as to exactly what the president will do. But the leaks point to an executive order essentially legalizing an enormous new class of illegal immigrants, perhaps up to 5 million people. One doesn’t usually respond to rumors. But this is an idea so bad and so persistently peddled by the White House that it has already been preemptively criticized by such unusual suspects as (liberal) constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley, concerned about yet another usurpation of legislative power by the

Under Obama, the False Claims Act has run riot. There´s nothing like taking an existing law, pumping it up on steroids, and turning it into a weapon against the very people it was intended to protect. But Obama’s early threat to crack down on fraud in industries doing business with the federal government has been one of the few promises he has kept. And the results are taking their toll on private-sector businesses, especially in the health care industry. The Department of Justice just announced another multimillion-dollar settlement, this time against Community Health Services (CHS) involving alleged “medically unnecessary” inpatient

President Obama gave a press conference this evening. He started a little over an hour late without explanation. Reporters stuck to asking questions that they evidently knew Obama would be comfortable answering. None of them asked him about any of his administration scandals. ABC’s Jon Karl, usually a tough questioner of Obama and his spokesmen, asked a rambling question that played right into the Democrats’ “economic patriotism” canard. Despite the fact that the president showed a passionless, bloodless, disinterested face to the world, he still managed to do some damage. Chris Jansing of CNN asked Obama if the sanctions against Russia are working.

The disgraceful video above shows how racist Russian students projected a laser image of Barack Obama eating a banana on to the US Embassy in Moscow. On 4th August, the so-called show began with a message to the US President pretending to wish him a happy 53rd birthday. A likeness of Obama with a party hat on his head then appeared, although the mouth area was made to look like that of a monkey - and a banana repeatedly moved into the mouth. But give them tens of thousands of Central American children fleeing violence, and they fly into action. Turns out, what animates today´s Republicans is deporting kids. So inspired were they, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives stayed late Friday to distort and demagogue a humanitarian crisis, passing a reprehensible bill that the Republicans claim addresses the border crisis. President Obama said Thursday night that he has authorized two new, major actions by the U.S. military in Iraq: airstrikes against militants with the Islamic State if U.S. interests or personnel are threatened, and humanitarian assistance for thousands of civilians who have fled the Islamist advance in northwest Iraq and are now trapped on a mountain. Even those two specific missions are more complicated than that, however. First, the U.S. humanitarian mission on Mount Sinjar began Thursday with airdrops by military aircraft, but it could require targeted airstrikes in order to “break the siege” at the base of the mountain and
