LIVE UPDATES: IDF mobilizes troops
to south amid Gaza escalation

Haaretz [Israel], by Staff

Original Article

Tensions rose on Israel´s border with the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday as Palestinian militants and the Israel Air Force traded strikes: the IAF responded to a barrage of rockets earlier in the night with 15 air strikes on Gaza targets, and foreign media reported casualties. Nine of the overnight rockets hit Israeli territory, one of them striking a residential building in Sderot, while two others were intercepted by the Iron Dome above Netivot. Two more rockets fired in the morning scored a direct hit on another house in Sderot, causing damage but no casualties. Jerusalem was high in tension as well, following

The Palestinian militants must have confused Netanyahu for President Obama. Here´s a clue Palestinians, Netanyahu acts while Obama dithers.

Obama ignores the rockets raining down on Israel because of his intense focus on a kidnapped Palestinian that might well have been a false flag operation.

Once again the Palestinians have received concessions from Israel for an agreement which they were quickly broke. Bibi knows how to deal with that by taking back the prisoners released.

Prior to Memorial Day, 2011, Louis Zamperini visited Washington, D.C., where I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing him. The man was as sharp as the proverbial tack. He inscribed Laura Hillenbrand’s bestselling biography, “Unbroken” to me with “Be Hardy.” And he was. This is the column I wrote about him and what he stood for. The film of the book, directed by Angelina Jolie, will be released in December. Perhaps you’ve heard of him, perhaps not. Louis Zamperini has had fame, lost it and seen it restored more than once. Murder and child cruelty charges against a father whose son died after being left in a car will go to a grand jury after a Cobb County judge found probable cause for the charges Thursday. Justin Ross Harris was denied bail. He messaged six women, sending and receiving explicit texts -- some including nude images -- from work while his 22-month-old was dying in a hot car, a detective testified in the hearing. Harris´ attorney repeatedly objected to Cobb County, Georgia, police Detective Phil Stoddard´s testimony regarding Harris sexting the women -- one of whom was 17 -- but the judge allowed it

A 19-year-old nurse aide in Colorado, who learned everything she knows about Islam from the internet, was arrested last April in the Denver airport as she attempted to fly to the Middle East and join ISIS, according to documents unsealed yesterday. Shannon Maureen Conley, described by one NBC source as "a lonesome troubled teenager," was on her way to Turkey, where she planned to meet with a purported jihadist she fell in love with online. Identified as "Y.M" in documents, the man told Conley he was associated with ISIS and encouraged her to follow her dream of waging jihad. Conley´s

The crackdown on unauthorized mobile-phone charges that led to a federal complaint against T-Mobile US Inc. (TMUS:US) this week poses a threat to other U.S. carriers that fail to stamp out the practice and offer refunds. The Federal Trade Commission filed a suit this week accusing T-Mobile US Inc. of placing “bogus charges onto customers’ bills” for items such as flirting tips, horoscopes and celebrity gossip. Vermont Attorney General William Sorrell said in an interview he may seek to get reimbursements from all the top wireless providers for fees from the practice known as cramming -- and other states may

This past week, Fox News, Megyn Kelly, and Dinesh D’Souza gave a platform to an entity that hates America and our way of life. Seems the prospect of smokin’ out a snake like Bill Ayers was too good to pass up. Getting an exclusive one-on-one with a crazy, violent communist with a small c was quite a coup for Kelly and D’Souza...or was it? Since lying and deceit generally benefit the liar, we have to ask, ”What was in it for Bill Ayers?” A mea culpa for past crimes? Hardly. After listening to Ayers, we must conclude: once a psychopath, always a psychopath.

Maybe we’ve been conned. There’s a growing recognition that Barack Obama is an incompetent poser, working out of his depth, and his administration is the gang that can’t shoot straight. There’s a lot of evidence to support that belief. Everything he touches becomes a bloody mess, like crushed bones and bits of flesh caught in the tracks of a tank slicing through a rank of soldiers (or civilians). Iraq, Syria, Egypt — all gone, as prospects for countries with a prosperous and democratic future. The “reset” with Russia, meant to ensure that America and the replacement republic of the old

So it goes from a foundation at a university to another foundation,” Clinton said when asked about the criticism she and her husband have faced recently for their wealth. President Obama’s displeasure with gridlock in Washington — and with the Republicans he blames for it — has been rising for months. This week it has boiled over. From the Rose Garden to the Cabinet Room to near the Key Bridge in Georgetown, the president has signaled more than mere annoyance at the state of affairs at the halfway point of this year. His disdain for congressional Republicans has steadily increased; his disrespect for their tactics has hardened into contempt. With immigration reform dead for this year, if not for the remainder of Obama’s presidency; with House Speaker John A.

The White House is not planning to reassess its strategy for handling thousands of unaccompanied minors streaming across the border amid mass protests. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said he had not spoken to President Obama about protests in California that blocked buses full of immigrant detainees from reaching a processing station. But Earnest said there was no expectation of changing strategies to deal with the flood of minors "at this point.” "At this point, what we´re focused on is making sure that we can ramp up the resources that are necessary to meet this growing need," Earnest said. President Obama has, except on fleeting occasions, routinely disdained the customary Oval Office language of compromise and coalition-building for the low arts of sophistry and belittlement. That was to be expected, given his background as a Chicago community organizer and product of that city´s corrupt Democrat political machine. But Obama has far exceeded dismal expectations. No previous American president employed the systematic distortion of fact and mendacious characterization of opponents that have typified Obama´s presidency. His "so sue me" speech last week is a classic illustration of the community organizer practicing Saul Alinsky´s 13th rule: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize

Higher education is no longer just for kids in the top quarter or the top half of the class. College is for everyone," First lady Michelle Obama told a gathering of school counselors in Florida on Tuesday. "Every student in this country needs some higher education, whether that´s two-year degree, a four-year degree, or professional training of some sort." Mrs. Obama went to the annual meeting of the American School Counselor Association in Florida to thank counselors for taking on a demanding job without the resources necessary to meet the challenges. They, in turn, made her an honorary school counselor.
