Anti-Catholic full-page ad in
the New York Times today

The Hobby Lobby decision has ignited liberals and unleashed their prejudice. And this ad is shameful. The New York Times has a full-page ad in its print edition today that should elicit protests around the nation (but likely won’t). Here is a copy from the website of the Freedom From Religious Foundation that wrote and paid for the ad (snip) what is worse is this line from the ad: “All-male, All-Roman Catholic Majority on Supreme Court Puts Religious Wrongs over Women’s Rights.” Anti-Catholicism apparently is no problem for this group. Should there be a religious test for public office or the highest court

Well anti-Catholicism is the oldest prejudice in America. My ancestors had to leave Maryland because of it. I´m not surprised in the least.

Don´t laugh too loud. The severely conservative white board republican establishment would rather network at NARAL fundraisers than be seen at a local parish festival with a brat and an ear of corn. Karl Rove speaks of religious freedom like just another wedge issue to be avoided.

Do these people realize that there´s a "no religion test" clause in the Constitution?

They simply upheld a law that was passed by Congress and signed by the President (Clinton) - a law which had the support of a wide variety of support - including the ACLU.

A good friend of mine apologized to me today. If she weren’t such a ruthless and pathological power-hungry phony, I would almost feel sorry for Hillary Rodham Clinton. It’s starting to look as though 2016 may be another election like 2008, in which the presumptive nominee runs into sheer bad luck that ends up derailing her plans. She never anticipated in 2008 that a young, untested, almost unknown freshman senator would trump her “historic first” woman president candidacy with the “historic first” black president strategy. This time around, the problem is slightly different, although a freshman senator who can meet (but not trump) the “historic first” appeal exists in the

Jorge Ramos of Fusion TV recently interviewed Hillary Clinton. In discussing the war between Hamas and Israel, Clinton managed to say at least half a dozen outrageous things in a span of just 2 minutes. When asked the now familiar and misguided question about whether Israel has responded to Hamas in a disproportionate way, Clinton seized the opportunity to tout how when she negotiated a cease fire “it held until just this month. And then Hamas, which has its back against the wall, decided to fire rockets into Israel.” First, a quick aside. Can we stop with “proportionality” already? Israel (and the West) is in a fight for its life. The enemy is Islam.

Glen Beck’s “charity” charade is neither conservative nor, in my opinion, Christian. This nation’s charitable impulses have already been exploited beyond belief through decades’ worth of lax immigration enforcement. The most likely outcome of Beck’s “charity” act is that it will diminish the rule of law and undermine conservative goals. With his flippant gift-giving, Beck (and his colleagues like Dana Loesch) will make it harder for America to reduce illegal immigration, maintain our sovereignty, and restrain the welfare state. How could teddy bears and soccer balls have such an impact? The short answer is that giving door prizes to illegal aliens

The sun is the most important energy source on Earth. Solar energy powers the growth of all trees, grasses, herbs, crops and algae; it creates the clouds and powers the storms; it is the source of all hydro, photo-voltaic (PV), solar-thermal, bio-mass, and wind energy. Over geological time, it also creates coal. PV solar panels are useful in remote locations and for some portable applications. With enough panels and batteries, standalone solar can even power homes. But solar energy has five fatal flaws for supplying 24/7 grid power. Firstly, sunshine at any spot is always intermittent and often unreliable. Solar panels can deliver
