NTSB Stands by Cause of
TWA Flight 800 Explosion

Associated Press, by Joan Lowy

The National Transportation Safety Board has denied a petition for reconsideration of its findings in the investigation of the 1996 crash of TWA flight 800. The board said Wednesday that a team of investigators not part of the original investigation has confirmed NTSB´s previous finding that an oxygen buildup in a partially empty fuel tank caused an explosion that destroyed the plane in-flight off the coast of Long Island, New York. The TWA 800 Project filed the petition. It says a "detonation or high-velocity explosion" could have caused the crash. Among other evidence, the group cites witnesses who say they saw a

There´s video of government employees entering the hangar where the remains of the jet was stored showing them removing and tampering with evidence. There are also quite a few witnesses separated by several miles who don´t know each other telling the same story.

In light of what our government openly does these days, what may have happened to flight 800 doesn´t seem quite so off-the-map nutty.

They pretty much reconstructed the entire air craft and there was an area that exploded out, not in as would be the case had there been a missile strike. There was an FBI agent in charge of the investigation. His name was James Fox, I think. He died of cancer a year or two later. He seemed like a man of such integrity, I can not believe he would have been a party to a cover up. I hope I am not wrong about this.

After all, the reputation for probity and integrity of the Clinton administration is unassailable.

Forgettttttt the multiple witnesses, the Administration that gave Eric Holder the job of vetting such pardons as Marc Rich should NOT be questioned.

Any Federal agency is dictated to by the administration in power and most Fed employees do what they are told or...
Let´s face it, Clinton corruption was well known and feared and government pensions have a profound silencing effect. Remember Ron Brown and the fake Bill Clinton tears.

Keep in mind that this occurred only a few months before a presidential election. I´ve always believed the eye witnesses over the government explanation. After 4 years of Clinton´s lies, why would anyone believe a word he said? He couldn´t afford to have a terrorist attack in the US during his reelection campaign. (Benghazi, anyone?) Also, remember that we didn´t find out about Clinton´s negligence concerning Bin Laden until after 9/11/01. He completely dropped the ball on Muslim terrorism and the world is still paying for it today.

Although no comparison to Obama´s administration, Clinton´s administration was nevertheless lawless. Filegate, where Hil and Bill collected FBI files of their political enemies? Travelgate. Whitewater. Rose Law firm files. Vince Foster. Somalia. Selling the Lincoln bedroom to campqaign contributors. Monica Lewinski. Buddhist temple cash contributions. Sale of military secrets to China. etc. etc.
Does anyone really believe that Clinton would have been unable to whitewash the TWA 800 attack as an accidental explosion of its fuel tanks if he wanted to?
This almost certainly was a shoulder-fired missile attack on a passenger airline, in which Iran was involved. Whitewashing it (like the ´93 bombing of WTC, US embassy attacks, USS Cole, and other islamic terrorist attacks allowed Clinton to turn the other cheek and take no action.
Bottom line is TWA 800 WAS a terrorist attack perpetrated on US soil.

There are plenty of conspiracy theories out there and enough of them to give rise to the notion that any conspiracy theory and it´s supporters must be nuts. By allowing our default presumption to be that all are unfounded tin foil hat candidates we enable manipulation by inhibiting inquisition and free thought. Disparaging those who dare to think outside the box, even beyond what we think is reason isn´t healthy. I´d rather err on the side of doubt for the party line. We need people who are a little nuts from time to time. Occasionally we´ll need to explain to a celebrity that steel can indeed melt.

If the Clinton Administration was trustworthy then what the heck was Sandy Berger stuffing in his britches?

Lets have an experiment. Rig an airliner with explosives to instantly cut off the nose section ahead of the wings. Put it in level flight by remote control of course and then with the cameras running blow the nose off and see if you can duplicate the ridiculous zoom climb video the government investigators put out to explain all the eyewitness missile sightings. I am sure the left would be happy to underwrite the cost of this demonstration to recover their credibility!

I do not believe the NTSB report, and in any case, they did not prove their case, only said it is what they thought may have happened. Unusually, it is the only plane ever exploding in the sky from a fuel tank spark in 150 years of aviation, so questions do remain.

George Stephanopolous referred to it on-air as "the bombing" of TWA 800.

Jack Cashill has written extensively on this topic.

Interestingly, the airlines seemed to have moved flights out of the NY airports´ flight patterns further inland, so they flew over Long Island rather than out over the water along the coast. At least, that´s what people who lived there claim, based on airplane noise.

It may be the most cold-hearted case of the knockout game yet. A 33-year-old punk punched a pregnant woman in the face so hard that she lost consciousness. But the creep was quickly arrested, just blocks away, cops said Friday. Jannatul Ferdous — two months from her due date — told the Daily News she was horrified for her unborn child. “I was scared and worried about the baby,” the 34-year-old victim said at her home in Brooklyn. The suspect, Willie Stephens, doled out the unprovoked smack at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, as Ferdous strolled down Monroe St. near Ralph Ave.

FERGUSON, MO – It’s now been one week since the shooting of Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer in the Canfield Green apartment complex. In that time precious little has been said about the investigation into 18-year-old Michael Brown’s death. St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch is on record says that his office is reviewing all relevant information, evidence and witnesses to the shooting. But that has done little to calm the residents of Ferguson who again demanded information on the status of the investigation from Governor Jay Nixon as spoke at a press conference Saturday afternoon.

Clinton, the Democratic front-runner in the still far-away contest, leads her opponents by noticeably smaller margins than she held in April, when the poll was last conducted. Against New Jersey Gov. A Travis County grand jury today indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest. Grand jurors charged Perry, 63, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official. The indictments stemmed from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.2 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget. The money was earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit, which is housed in Lehmberg’s office. Perry’s veto forced

They say a prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, and this always seemed like hyperbole, until Friday night a Texas grand jury announced an indictment of governor Rick Perry. The “crime” for which Perry faces a sentence of 5 to 99 years in prison is vetoing funding for a state agency. The conventions of reporting — which treat the fact of an indictment as the primary news, and its merit as a secondary analytic question — make it difficult for people reading the news to grasp just how farfetched this indictment is. Texas Governor Rick Perry was indicted Friday on charges of abuse of power—a first degree felony—and coercion—a third degree felony. The charges stem from a 2013 scandal that has been quietly rumbling in the Lone Star State as Perry has been floated as a viable contender for the Republican nomination in 2016. This is a complex case, which might be why it has not made national headlines the way other recent, state-level scandals (like Bridgegate, in New Jersey) have. Below, I have outlined

For exercising his constitutional prerogative by threatening to veto, and then vetoing, an appropriation to support the public corruption unit in Travis County’s district attorney’s office.
