President Obama Doesn’t Understand
Representative Government

The Federalist, by Robert Tracinski

Original Article

Once again, President Obama has announced that he’s going to bypass Congress in order to impose his own agenda through executive orders, this time on immigration. Does this guy even understand how representative government works? Here’s how it works: the representatives govern. In other words, Congress makes the laws. But Obama seems to think that when push comes to shove, the president is the only representative the people need. Thus, he declared that “America cannot wait” for Congress, as if he speaks for America, rather than the people actually elected by the people to represent them in something called—you guessed it—the House

He fully understands it, but he rejects it, has violated the oath of office and needs to be removed from the position by any means necessary.

Why do so many people give this criminal the benefit of the doubt? He most certainly understands it, the problem is, he HATES it. He should be in jail, along with the rest of his criminal administration. I hope no one is holding their breath.

...I only take executive action when we have a serious problem, a serious issue, and Congress chooses to do nothing.”

Every country has "serious problems" at some point. That doesn´t mean that POTUS steps in to usurp Congressional power.

No, when Congress chooses to do nothing, the president’s job is also to do nothing.

Obama, Constitutional scholar, is ignorant of the Constitution or is ignoring it because he can. So far.

It’s not a matter of his preference, because he has no law authorizing him to act.

And yet he does act with weak, if any pushback. Why is that? Is the GOP afraid of being as passionate about their conservatism as the Democrats are militant about their liberalism? Don´t they see the schism that is the crack in the dike?

If there is an ideological distinction between Democrats and Republicans, which seems more and more fuzzy lately, Republicans must speak out when our laws are broken by our own President and his Party.

Look. Why not just tear up the Constitution right now, burn every flag and every Bible in the country, burn down private schools, close down the internet and the airways to all but liberal ideology, raise taxes to confiscatory levels, prohibit the ownership of private property, confiscate our guns, and rename the Internal Revenue Service the Internal Coercion Police Force, and have done with it -- because that is where we are headed at this very moment unless something stops it.

The light at the end of this tunnel is a selective political nuclear blast that kills only conservatives.

Obama understands our representative form of government, which is why he is trying to place all blame for his glaring domestic & international failures on the House GOP. As a cruel, petty narcissist if not psychopath, Obama can only accept credit, not blame or even responsibility, as in "I didn´t set a red line in Syria, the world did." And, "I didn´t fail to keep a US presence in Iraq in 2011, the Iraqis did." Plus all of his "No one is madder than me about IRS, HHS, et al after I read it in the papers." Attacking Boehner and the House GOP is a pathetic attempt at avoiding responsibility and having to explain the failures that arise from his thug ideology.

Let´s stop giving this tyrant the cover of being incompetent, stupid, not understanding, and all that explanative jibberish. He is not hard to comprehend once one gets past the idea that there are checks and balances, as well as "good Americans" to do the right things. The Constitutional checks and balances have largely failed. The legislative Republicrats show no desire to provide true political opposition while the executive tyrant rules with pen and phone.

Yes, he does.
He represents us. Just ask him.
He incorporates into himself the legislative, judicial, and executive power of the Government. Since there are no controls on his actions, he does what he wants.
He is the Emperor, and don´t you forget it. He is not the chief executive. He reigns. The RINOs love him, because he lets them keep their emoluments.
No one bears responsibility for the actions of the regime. It is all someone else´s fault: Congress, G. W. Bush, the press, Rush... the list is quite long. But the buck stops somewhere else.

The bottom line is that the House doesn´t trust Obama to do what he concedes/agrees to do. Why should they even attempt to work with him when he lies to them and us all of the time?

I love this line: "when Congress chooses to do nothing, the president’s job is also to do nothing" I don´t think the American public understands that at all.

In a Gallup poll released Tuesday, the percentage of Americans who say that immigration is the nation’s most important problem reached 17 percent, the highest level in eight years and the second-highest ever recorded by that polling organization. It’s easy to scoff at the fickleness of the American public, taking a long-term problem such as immigration (legal or otherwise) from rating as most important by 5 percent of the population to 17 percent of the population in just a few weeks, notwithstanding the images of young unaccompanied children flooding into Texas. The collapse of a cease-fire plan for Israel and Hamas would be a moment to test the Jewish state’s super-weapon — Caroline Glick. Or, more precisely, her idea of a one-state plan for peace in the Middle East. Glick laid out the plan in a book called “The Israeli Solution.” Her idea, which I wrote about in March, is to absorb into a single state — Israel — all of the West Bank and the Arab and Jewish populations who live there. It’s as controversial as an idea can get. She leaves aside Gaza, where there is no Israeli presence and which

During the Bush years, the open-borders movement won over bleeding hearts in the White House but alienated the American public with radical displays of La Raza ("The Race") militancy, desecrated American flags and Che Guevara shirt-wearing, fist-thrusting marches across the country. Left-wing public relations consultants taught the amnesty mob to tone it down, turn the flags right-side up and stop threatening Reconquista. But the phony red-white-and-blue dye job didn´t last. Gotta hand it to ‘em: They’re all-in on the immigration mega-pander. The prudent thing to do before the midterms would be to focus on stopping the border crisis, to “prove” that Obama’s serious about enforcement before a new push at comprehensive reform next year, and then do some sort of very limited amnesty to show immigration activists that O’s on their side with the promise of more to come after the current uproar has quieted down. Instead you’ve got Harry Reid mumbling about the border being secure, Pelosi doing her “won’t somebody think of the children?” shtick, and now Obama’s inner

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. To wit, President Bush requested the resignation of his GSA administrator in 2008 after the US Office of Special Counsel determined she had violated federal law by participating in a video conference with Karl Rove and sending out partisan letters.
