Obama and the Culture of Death
American Thinker, by Eileen F. Toplansky

Original Article

Posted By:tisHimself, 7/3/2014 5:51:10 AM

By its own admission, the Arab world loves death more than it loves life. Consider that "during all periods of their history, the ancient Egyptians seem to have spent much of their time thinking of death and making provisions for their afterlife. The vast size ... and the ubiquity of their funerary monuments bear testimony to this obsession." Consider that the Palestinian world teaches its children to embrace shahid, or martyrdom. It is an aberrant culture where parents celebrate their own children´s deaths by the promotion of suicide terrorism.

B´Tslem and Jewish Voice for Peace , Zochrot and Machsom Watch, (which are all Jewish human rights groups) tell a very different story than Mizz Toplansky´s bigoted view. Israel has killed far more people and far more kids than Palestinian terrorists have. "Rabbi" Schneerson and his Lubavitcher sect teach that Gentiles are subhumans, unequal to the Master Race of UberJews. Schneerson has met his maker, so he has found out, like Ariel Sharon, that his racist, bigoted views are wrong. And then there are the Illegal Alien settlers who teach their kids to hate all Gentiles. Try visiting the Yitzhar settlement in Palestine and see how you get treated if you are not a Jew. Funny how so many settlers are atheists who dont even believe in God, but they sure do believe He gave them Palestine.

Chef Emeril Lagasse shot to fame as the host of a popular Food Network show that encouraged amateur chefs to try their own hands in the kitchen. But despite being one of the most recognizable celebrity chefs in the country, Lagasse´s outlook on his future as a restaurateur — and the restaurant industry in general — is fairly grim. "I have nowhere to go, really — other than broke," said Lagasse at a recent event promoting his upcoming TNT reality series On the Menu. "It´s becoming a very challenging industry to become a very successful average restaurateur," continued Lagasse. "I can´t

With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Or not vote at all? The reasons why some conservatives are on the fence or planning not to vote are well known. (And Democrats are loving every minute of it!) “Establishment Republicans have attacked us and I refuse to support any of them.” “I’m sick of RINO’s. They’re no better than the Democrats.” “Other than a few strong conservatives, the rest of the GOP stands for nothing.” I share these frustrations. The conversation in my head goes something

Big ideas sometimes play a role in political campaigns, but not in this year’s midterm elections. Republican candidates concentrate on linking their opponents to President Obama and his policies. That’s it. Democrats are understandably wary of defending Obama. They go after Republicans on minor or trumped-up issues, often in unscrupulous TV ads. This formula is working for Democrats. For them, victory in the elections would be holding Republicans to minimal gains and retaining control of the Senate. If nothing changes, they have a shot.

Republican voters are down on the sluggish GOP officials they elected, and the officeholders whine about the unreasonable people who voted for them. Republican backbenchers complain about their lame leaders, and GOP leaders grumble about their unruly followers. Right-wing pundits despair of unimaginative Republican pols, and the hard-headed pols are impatient with impractical commentators. Conservative activists loathe the GOP establishment, and the establishment is terrified and contemptuous of the base.

The anti-war president has finally found a way to wag the dog without upsetting his liberal base and war-weary electorate. Despite the beheading of two Americans, establishment of an Islamic caliphate, direct threats to the U.S. homeland, and the destabilization of the entire Middle East, Obama refuses to acknowledge that we are at war with barbaric Islamic jihadists. And he refuses to authorize the requisite boots on the ground. However, Obama just discovered his pre-midterm election method of wagging the dog -- distracting from his incompetent and dangerous response (or lack thereof) to the real threats to America’s national security

Someone forwarded this article to me, “Why Are Republicans Suddenly Leaning Left?” The article cites numerous examples of the GOP obviously believing it must embrace at least lukewarm Liberalism while backing away from Conservatism to win elections. The article mentioned that Mitt Romney avoided saying “Republican” in an ad supporting Scott Brown’s Senate run. Romney said in the ad referring to Brown, “will buck his own party to do what’s right for New Hampshire.” Romney’s statement implies that Conservatism can be mean, but rest assured that Brown will push

Like many sports stories, this one is about fathers and sons. Before Roger Goodell was National Football League commissioner—before fans and pundits alike began calling for his ouster in the wake of the ongoing Ray Rice domestic-violence scandal; before members of Congress began sending angry letters and demanding answers—Goodell was an 11-year-old boy, watching the Nixon White House crush his dad’s political career. The year was 1970. Charles E. Goodell, then a moderate Republican senator from New York, was running for reelection. The previous summer, he had sponsored a high-profile bill that would have ended funding for the Vietnam War.

Gov. Bobby Jindal today said Americans are clamoring for a “hostile takeover” of Washington, D.C. While speaking at The Heritage Foundation to a group of reporters about his new energy plan, the Louisiana governor and potential 2016 presidential candidate said voters are calling on Republicans to offer “real ideas” and “real solutions” in Washington. “We need to understand people are hungry for big change,” he said. “They’re not looking for tinkering; they’re looking for a hostile takeover of D.C.” That means not just talking about repealing Obamacare, Jindal continued, but taking measures to repeal and replace it.

Its current map for the senate has the Republicans up 51 to the Dem´s 48, with Kansas "tied" (which is how they get around having an independent in the lead there at the moment.)

Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory. The 2014 election is rapidly looking like something new
