Hillary Takes Six-Figure Speaking
Fees From Universities Raising Student Tuition

Breitbart Big Government, by John Nolte

Original Article

Posted By:mitzi, 7/2/2014 4:45:36 PM

The Washington Post reports that likely 2016 presidential contender Hillary Clinton made somewhere around $1.8 million from eight universities in just nine months. While paying the former Secretary of State anywhere from $200,000 to $300,000 per speech, some of these schools were raising tuition prices on students already burdened by the growing student loan bubble. Clinton was paid $251,250 from the University of Connecticut not long after the school hit its students with 6.5% tuition increase. At UNLV, where tuition will jump 17% within the next four years, Clinton accepted a $225,000 speaking fee. The student government has since sent

Comments:
The news here is not the amount of the fees, but rather that the Washington Post is reporting this! There´s a link.

I read somewhere recently that their speaking fees are donated to the Clinton Foundation - and wondered if they get any "unusual tax advantage" from that.

I do not support Mrs Clinton, PERIOD; however, she should get paid as much as she can for her speeches. It is up to the institutions inviting her to determine if she is worth the asking price. That is called Capitalism. She is not forcing anyone to pay her asking fee. If they are stupid enough to pay the ludicrous amount she is requesting, more power to her. If no one invited her to speak at her current asking price, she would be forced to lower the price, or suffer fewer or no invitations.

Very true #2
BUT the students should be allowed to vote yes or no to the invitation since they have to eventually pay the Bill.
If the administration members want to hear the person speak they should invite the speaker to a private session and pay for the time with their own cash.

There is a big upside to Hillary jamming her money-grubbing hands into the pockets of college students via the schools - especially if they happen to see her performance. Even better if she gets knocked out of the primaries and better yet if she never gets in.

What kid will forget that he owes even more in loans because greedy leftist Hillary Clinton wasn´t happy with only $100 million and wanted some of his too?

#11 I second that.
Just a laundered campaign contribution.
The colleges have their ways.
The unions have their tricks.
Like the way they supported Jim Wright by buying his book Reflections of a Public Man in bulk. Pallets and pallets of them. Never even bothered to remove the pallet shrink wrap. They just sat in a corner of a warehouse. And they paid a ridiculous price for each book. No one cared about the book. Some chapters only had one page with only a couple of words. The "books" were bound with spiral plastic like you use for about 20 copies of an office report. Just another way to launder campaign contribution money.
