Buyer’s Remorse: Obama Now
Rated Worst Modern President

Power Line, by John Hinderaker

This Quinnipiac poll, released today, is getting a lot of press. Understandably so: Quinnipiac polled 1,446 registered voters nationwide, and a plurality of 33% tagged Barack Obama as the worst president since World War II. Such historical ratings are always biased toward the recent past, of course; 28% said George W. Bush was the worst. In a head-to-head comparison with Bush, 40% say Obama is worse, while 39% think Obama is better than his immediate predecessor. In a re-run of the 2012 election, 45% now say the country would be better off if Mitt Romney were president, while 38% think

I do not believe opinion polls about Obama - he is rated entirely too high- polls shows around 40 to 45 percent approval for Obama - his approval ratings might be as high as 33% but certainly no higher than that!

So after 6 years of destroying the Constitution and the country in general, the LoFos finally get a clue! Too little, too late folks. This country will probably never been the same! Be sure and seal the deal by electing Hillary!

I admit to not knowing the details of every single President´s administration, but, I think it´s safe to say that they can go back all the way to the beginning.

From George Washington on (with the exception of another academic Woodrow Wilson and a few that skewed us Left)our Presidents have had a basic love of their country.

Obama has NO love or loyalty to the U.S.A.

A few months ago, I made my own bumper sticker that says "Romney was Right." I drive through Chicago a lot, among other places, and expected some rude behavior but not once has anything happened. That is when I figured the tide was turning.

Even when we take the Senate in 2014 and then the WH in 2016, where do we start? Immediately rescind all executive orders? That will put thousands of people out of work. Cancel ObamaCare? That will put hundreds of thousands out of work in the IRS, etc. Not that I really care about most of them ... they hitched their future to that sinking ship; tough tacos y´all. Shrinking the public sector workforce? What jobs will they find in the private sector when we cannot employ the folks we now have out there?

The point is that just about everything that the Rs can do to right this ship of state will be very unpopular. I would hate to see six years of R control go down the drain because it hurts too much to fix it all.

If there is a set of stones at all in Congress and the Senate, now is the time to be coming up with an action plan. Unfortunately I have no confidence that the Perfumed Princes on the Potomac are that far-sighted. Most are not even that smart.

Back in 2009 I took a wrong turn off of I90 and wound up on the south side of Chicago. I was sacred stiff by the area but especially so because I had a "Don´t Blame Me. I Voted for Palin." sticker on my car. There was no reaction at all - I´m sure that 99% of the people there had no clue who Palin is.

An American two-star general killed in Afghanistan is finally home. Maj. Gen. Harold Greene´s body landed at Delaware´s Dover Air Force Base Thursday morning. The 55-year-old New York native became the highest-ranking American officer killed in combat since the Vietnam War when an Afghan soldier opened fire on a military training facility near Kabul Tuesday. The turncoat soldier, named Rafiqullah, wounded 15 other soldiers — including a half-dozen U.S. soldiers, a German brigadier general, and two Afghan generals — before he was shot and killed. MYSTIC, Conn. - When the whaling ship Charles W. Morgan set sail for the first time, John Tyler was still in the White House. On Wednesday, 34 presidents later, America´s last whaling ship returned from its final voyage, and prepared for a new mission. "No one alive had ever sailed her before...I haven´t digested it all yet." The Morgan first sailed in 1841. It was one of 2,700 American ships that brought back the whale oil

In one gray box is a 1778 letter written by George Washington at Valley Forge. The flowing cursive wasn´t particularly eloquent, but showed the minutia he tackled during the Revolution. Washington asked the New York governor for help tracking down an American officer who had confiscated a money box from the British at Princeton, then apparently converted it "to his own use." In another box is a 1865 letter written by Abraham Lincoln to a woman who asked the president to send her a portion of his second inaugural address - in his own hand. More than half of British households who have a tumble dryer still use it at least once a week even in the warm summer months, new figures reveal. The decline in popularity of hanging clothes out to dry on a traditional washing line means that 54 per cent of people who own the appliance use it during June, July and August, say the Energy Saving Trust. Their research also found that 78 per cent of people using their tumble dryers were concerned about their energy bills but still used them anyway. It wasn’t so long ago that visitors to the National Archives, in Washington, D.C., were expected to ascend. A trip to see the nation’s founding documents was an uplifting experience, literally. A broad flight of stone steps drew visitors up from the summer glare and clamor of Constitution Avenue to a porch high above, and from there through great bronze doors into the cool and quiet of a vast rotunda. Once inside, another rise of stairs brought them in line of sight of the Declaration of Independence, set upright in a bronze display case, and a final group of stairs

In retaliation against recent U.S. and European Union sanctions, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered his government to identify foreign goods from countries that have imposed sanctions that will be banned from Russia for one year. Affected countries include the United States, all E.U. member states, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Over time, the ban could hurt some American companies with Russian trade ties. For example, when Russia banned all U.S. poultry imports for nine months in 2010, U.S. chicken producers lost an estimated $400 billion in Russian sales. But the restrictions will likely be felt first and most by

President Obama gave a press conference this evening. He started a little over an hour late without explanation. Reporters stuck to asking questions that they evidently knew Obama would be comfortable answering. None of them asked him about any of his administration scandals. ABC’s Jon Karl, usually a tough questioner of Obama and his spokesmen, asked a rambling question that played right into the Democrats’ “economic patriotism” canard. Despite the fact that the president showed a passionless, bloodless, disinterested face to the world, he still managed to do some damage. Chris Jansing of CNN asked Obama if the sanctions against Russia are working.

Former president Jimmy Carter called on the West to recognize the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hamas as a legitimate "political actor" that represents the bulk of the Palestinian population. Carter made the comments in an article he co-wrote with former Irish president Mary Robinson in a new issue of Foreign Policy magazine. It was published as a cease-fire took hold Tuesday after four weeks of fighting between Israel and Hamas, which governs Gaza. In a sharply worded rebuke to Israel, Carter and Robinson said, "There is no humane or legal justification for the way the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting this war."
