Obama sells Hellfire:
White House hopes to send
4K missiles to Iraq for ISIL fight

Washington Times, by Douglas Ernst

Original Article

Posted By:EagleEye, 7/2/2014 1:35:54 PM

The Obama administration is hoping that 4,000 Hellfire missiles might turn the tide in Iraq as the Middle Eastern nation takes on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Officials were told by the State Department last week that the Obama administration is trying to complete the sale with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s Shiite-led government. Members of the Senate and House foreign relations committees will conduct a review of the planned sale. The process can take up to 40 days, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday. “As a matter of policy, we decline to comment on cases that have not been formally notified to Congress,”

Comments:
The way that 0bama´s own puppethead LSM is reporting the "successes" of ISIL, who´s hands do you think these Hellfire missiles might eventually end up in? And, then used to down a landing passenger aircraft by a suicide attack at an airport? Congress, say NO to any of our weapons systems in Iraq.

1) Congress hasn´t been notified yet, but Obama is already bragging about his strategy
2) Does Iraq have an air force still?
3) Iran has drones copied from a US drone that went astray

What could possibly go wrong? s/o

After throwing away a victory in Iraq (which George W. Bush´s administration had pacified after tremendous sacrifices), Obama now blames the disaster that is the Middle East on his predecessor. Now that it´s gotten so bad that Obama can´t blame the situation away, he deigns to send missiles to the Iraqi government so they can take care of the problem that he alone created. Just press a button and - Poof! - those mean old terrorists go away, just like that!

This stunt reminds me of Bill Clinton, the Cruise missile, and the aspirin factory. Feckless and delusional.

So what happens when those missiles are used on our only true ally in the Middle East? He´s in all likelihood shipping them over so that they can be stolen and then turned on the Israelis.

A month after Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America targeted Target for letting North Texas open-carriers stroll through the toy section with Oreos and AKs, the Big Box has finally released a statement asking shoppers to leave their long guns at home. And in the end, he writes, the team decided to join Chipotle, Chili’s, Starbucks and other companies by asking folks to shop without displaying their weapons. Boston - He insists he’s not running for president a third time, but Mitt Romney is campaigning again in New Hampshire. The former Republican presidential nominee is set to endorse Senate candidate Scott Brown on Wednesday, campaigning publicly in New Hampshire for the first time since the early hours of Election Day 2012 as he continues a larger effort to re-emerge as a force in Republican politics. The day is supposed to be focused on Brown’s quest to defeat Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen this fall. But Romney’s return to the state where he began and ended his last presidential campaign looms over the Senate

As part of an effort to stem the flood of children caught trying to cross the nation´s southwest border, President Obama is trying to change a 2008 law that dictates how the federal government handles those immigrant children in order to speed up their deportations. (Snip) The 2008 law, which passed both chambers of Congress by unanimous consent and was signed into law by President George W. Bush, dictates exactly how children caught crossing the border without their parents must be treated. Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has reportedly been charged with corruption and influence peddling after being held for questioning for 15 hours. Mr. Sarkozy was held at Nanterre, just outside of Paris, where he was questioned on allegations that he violated campaign finance laws and abused his power to manipulate the legal system. Authorities officially charged him, his lawyer and a senior magistrate early Wednesday morning, according to several news outlets. Prosecutors accused Mr. Sarkozy of appointing a magistrate in Monaco, Gilbert Azibert, to a senior judicial position in exchange for under-the-table information regarding campaign finance probes against him.

For me, watching the Food Network was always an easy escape from the stresses of daily life. There was just something calming about watching chefs in action, and this network had perfected Zen cooking. They’d often use a natural-light filter that made food appear delectable, as if the chefs were blissfully cooking their culinary delights in the sunlit designer kitchen of a tastefully decorated, impeccable home somewhere in the Hamptons. (Well, with Ina Garten, that actually is the case.) I’ve never been anywhere near a sunlit designer kitchen in the Hamptons, but I still found it all oddly soothing. I’d

Speaking at the U.S.-Africa Summit earlier this week, Secretary of State John Kerry had a bit of astonishing advice for African leaders. While noting that Africa faces a starvation problem, he also admonished its leaders not to create more farms. The reason? Adding more farms would contribute to “global warming.” Yeah, he really said that: “Certain agricultural processes can actually release carbon pollution and actually contribute to the problem in the first place. It’s a twisted circle. Always complicated. But we also know that there are certain ways to change that. For example, rather than convert natural areas to new farmland, a process

Peace has to start with Israeli and Palestinians leaders, namely Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, US President Barack Obama told the New York Times´ Foreign Affairs columnist Thomas Friedman. [Snip] Obama worried that Netanyahu´s high approval ratings--which have jumped in recent weeks in the wake of Israel´s month-long operation in Gaza--could prevent him from making the difficult concessions needed to reach a long-term deal: "If he doesn’t feel some internal pressure, then it’s hard to see him being able to make some very difficult compromises," like the issue of settlements, the president said.

Political conservatives are the greatest threat to the nation, President Barack Obama suggested in a kid-glove interview with the New York Times. “The president mused, the biggest threat to America — the only force that can really weaken us — is us,” said the interviewer, Thomas Friedman. “Our politics are dysfunctional… societies don’t work if political factions take maximalist positions,” said Obama, who repeatedly claims to be a moderate stymied by the GOP’s supposed obstructionism and radicalism. “And the more diverse the country is, the less it can afford to take maximalist positions,” Obama added. Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists. Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries

PRESIDENT OBAMA was right to order military action to prevent a potential genocide in northern Iraq and to stop forces of the al-Qaeda-derived Islamic State from advancing on Baghdad or the Kurdish capital of Irbil. However, the steps the president authorized on Thursday amount to more of his administration’s half-measures, narrowly tailored to this week’s emergency and unconnected to any coherent strategy to address the conflagration spreading across the Middle East. While U.S. airstrikes and drops of supplies may prevent the terrorist forces from massacring the Yazidi sect or toppling the pro-Western regime in Kurdistan, Mr. Obama lacks a plausible

An elementary school in the outer suburbs of Atlanta has outlawed birthday cupcakes, cookies and, in fact, all food from birthday parties over fears that some kids with food allergies could feel sad and left out. Officials at Brooks Elementary School in Newnan, Ga. announced the draconian new policy for the upcoming school year via a letter to parents, reports The Newnan Times-Herald. “When parents have brought in goodies for birthdays, oftentimes these children are not included in the snack because of dietary restrictions and have felt left out,” Julie Raschen, principal of Brooks Elementary, said, according to the Times-Herald.
