Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity
hit Forbes ‘most powerful’ list

Washington Times, by Cheryl K. Chumley

Original Article

Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity have all placed on the latest release of Forbes’ “World’s Most Powerful Celebrities” list, proving that conservative talk radio — not print, television or digital media — is the place for the most influential. Mr. Beck came in at No. 39, between musical performer Pharrell Williams and NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, Politico reported. Forbes’ cited Mr. Beck with $90 million in earnings. Mr. Limbaugh, meanwhile, hit the list with $66 million in earnings at No. 59, right behind celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and right before Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show.”

So let ´em join forces and DO something with all their "power!" Commercials? Or are they getting rich by preaching to their choirs (with most of the country ignoring ´em?) When it all collapses all three will be in fine fettle. To fellow travelers, they are becoming redundant and tedious. OK. WE GET IT! Time to reach out to all the numb nuts. Or...are we fatally out-numbered?

I know that all three men are using copious amounts of their money to fight back the forces of liberalism. But because they are quiet about what they are doing, like setting up schools, online programs, educational alternatives, charitable conservative causes, and yes, tax-exempt conservative causes, their good works are under the radar, as they should be.

But to imply they´re not doing anything for conservatism with all their money is simply not true.

If they annoy you, don’t listen, or watch. Read a book, watch Oprah, or play with your pud. If you disagree with their arguments, like Beck and Common Core, try to think though why you disagree. I happen to be amused and learn from each of them, along with Mark Levin and Mark Steyn, among others. You certainly aren’t going to hear their insights and opinions on any alphabet “evening news”

#6. Being able to, sadly, predict what the Big Three are going to say year after year is a far cry from following Oprah! They effectively reinforce our beliefs (kudos!), but will they turn the tide? Change minds? The majority of Americans abhor them.

the first job they all have is providing an audience for advertising (Beck having gone beyond that with his subscription base) any thing else is secondary

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon called the National Guard to Ferguson late Sunday without letting the White House know first. “Folks didn’t know,” an administration official told BuzzFeed Monday. “The White House did not know they were sending it in.” Nixon gave “no heads up,” the official said. President Obama is back at the White House today on a pre-scheduled break from his August vacation in Martha’s Vineyard. He’s scheduled to be briefed by Attorney General Eric Holder on the situation in Ferguson early this afternoon. Holder and the administration have been critical of the militarized response to protests in Ferguson.

According to details leaked by Egyptian newspaper al-Shorouk, the 11-clause proposal contained several key concessions to the Palestinian delegation, including the opening of border crossings between Israel and Gaza, the elimination of the so-called "buffer zones" along the Israel-Gaza border, the extension of the fishing zone to 12 miles off the Gazan coast, and the assistance of Israel and the Palestinian Authority in rebuilding the

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is too strong. PLO boss Mahmoud Abbas is too weak. That’s why we can’t get a peaceful settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict, says President Obama in an interview with the ever-serious Tom Friedman of the New York Times. The president seems to be confusing Mideast politics with Goldilocks. The peace porridge is too hot (Netanyahu). It’s too cold (Mahmoud Abbas). But with Mr. Obama’s Goldilocks policy, it’s just right. Actually, his Mideast isn’t just right. It’s mostly wrong. Mr. Obama’s thinking about the Mideast is fully on display in this disturbing interview. If we wonder why

Watching the events unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, I can’t help thinking about the Holocaust and post-war Germany. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

It will take two decades to rebuild the thousands of houses destroyed during Israel’s assault on Gaza, according to a recent NGO report. At least 17,000 homes were obliterated or severely damaged during the conflict, with thousands more needing substantial repairs, according to an assessment by Shelter Cluster. More than 2,100 Palestinians, most of them civilians, were killed during the conflict. In addition 71 Israelis were killed – all but six of them soldiers. But the report on Gaza’s housing stock indicates inhabitants of the densely populated strip will face a severe infrastructural burden over the coming years.
