Second Employee Alleges Chase
Bank Surveyed Staff´s LGBT Loyalty

A second source has confirmed that JP Morgan Chase has asked each of its employees whether they are “an ally of the LGBT community,” which employees have taken as a veiled threat. Each year JP Morgan Chase sends its employees a survey asking questions related to management and other non-controversial issues. A longtime Chase employee told Professor Robert George of Princeton that the survey this year included the following questions for the first time: Are you: 1) A person with disabilities; 2) A person with children with disabilities; 3) A person with a spouse/domestic partner with disabilities; 4) A member

The 4th question sounds illegal. The company has no business asking if their employees are homosexual. The whole thing sounds like busy work by idiots.

It is none of their business if the employee has a spouse or child disabled. I thought HIPAA made it illegal to discuss or ask about another persons medical history.

Years ago, a company I worked for gave out a survey for employees to complete. It was mostly about working conditions, attitudes toward the company, etc.

It was supposed to be anonymous, but it wasn´t; there was a code printed on it that would tell them which employee it had been sent to. I suspected this, and didn´t fill it out.

Chase´s survey actually demands you identify yourself. This is wrong, even if it is legal.

#5 and I maybe worked for the same company. I also worked for a company that had a LGBT group that met for lunches and networked. They only hired each other or friends for job openings. I watched that company go gay over the course of about 10 years. Then when the firings started in 2008, almost no gays lost their jobs. Funny how that worked. They are militant and unapologetic. "Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?" An unforgivable outrage that will never again happen, say the leftists.

"Do you show anything less than gushing approval of homosexuality, and do you despise religion, small government, traditional family structures, and the right to choose effective self-defense options?" A free and open of ideas and opinions, provided you keep contrary opinions firmly sealed in the closet.

And so we come full circle. Nearly three years since Barack Obama decided to trade defeat for victory in Iraq by allowing his feckless vice president to fail to “negotiate” a status-of-forces agreement with the Iraqi government he did not really wish to have—since the president wanted to leave, leave, leave, as he had said he would do in 2007—circumstances of the simplest human decency have compelled him to commit U.S. forces to stave off the genocide of the Yazidi sect in Iraq. He is not responsible for the monstrous actions of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria—in no

Throngs of Secret Service agents are always on watch for suspicious packages near the White House gates, and anyone who might be looking to infiltrate the grounds. But Thursday night, they had a slightly smaller-scale security breach to contend with: a toddler who squeezed through the fence in the front of the residence. The brief kerfuffle as agents scrambled to intercept the pint-sized intruder confirms what most people know: toddlers are sneaky, and fast. This one was promptly returned to his parents. The little guy didn´t get in any trouble -- at least, not with the feds. And he was

The United States dropped food and other supplies by air to besieged Iraqi civilians Thursday and President Obama authorized possible airstrikes against Sunni Muslim extremists who punctured Kurdish defenses in a powerful offensive in northern Iraq. Obama, in a late-night statement delivered at the White House, said that strikes would be launched against extremist convoys “should they move toward” the Kurdish capital of Irbil. “We intend to take action if they threaten our facilities anywhere in Iraq .?.?. including Irbil and Baghdad,” he said. The authorization for airdrops, an initial round of which was completed just before Obama spoke, and

The increasingly dire straits of refugees in the Kurdish region of Iraq, amid startling gains by Islamist forces there, led President Obama to approve humanitarian airdrops and have propelled the administration into new and urgent consideration of a military intervention it has studiously avoided so far. The lightning advance of the Islamic State militant group, south from the northwest city of Mosul to within 60 miles of Baghdad, has been a source of deep concern since it began two months ago. But the administration worried that interjecting itself into the conflict would inevitably open it to charges of siding with

President Obama announced Thursday night he has authorized the U.S. military to conduct air strikes "if necessary" against Islamist militants in Iraq, and the military has conducted a mission to drop humanitarian aid there to help religious minorities stranded amid the violence. Obama said in a statement from the White House the U.S. military is authorized to launch targeted air strikes if Islamist militants advance toward American personnel in northern Iraq. He also said that the U.S. decided to conduct the drops to the 50,000 or so religious minorities stranded on a mountaintop in the country´s north, who have been

Several months ago, based on several far from minor out-of-the-gate mistakes, I characterized the candidacy of the Democratic Party´s challenger to incumbent Republican Governor John Kasich as "the wreck that is Edward FitzGerald." In the past week, FitzGerald has utterly imploded. The latest revelation Tuesday afternoon, namely that he had "no license to drive at all from 2002 to 2008," leaves one wondering whether his party vetted him at all. Former Cleveland Plain Dealer editorial director Brent Larkin calls this "at or near the top of the list" of "bizarre developments" he´s seen in 45 years of covering politics. Despite

A smiling Governor Rick Perry of Texas announced that Space Exploration and Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) will build the world´s first private commercial rocket launch facility on an isolated beach near Brownsville, Texas. Texas appear to have “bought the deal” by offering an $100 million economic incentive package. However, many Southern Californians are appalled that after multi-billionaire SpaceX Chairman Elon Musk suckered the state Legislature into a wildly advantageous crony capital tax exemption for SpaceX, Musk would take his next slurp of crony capitalist cash from Texas. A NEW humanitarian and security crisis has erupted in northern Iraq, where the al-Qaeda-derived Islamic State borders territories controlled by Iraqi and Syrian Kurds. Since last weekend, tens of thousands of civilians have been trapped on a mountainside near the Iraqi town of Sinjar, which was captured by Islamic State fighters. The refugees, including an estimated 25,000 children, lack supplies of food and water and could perish in a matter of days unless a relief corridor is opened, according to the United Nations. In an unprecedented and marathon hearing, tag teams of attorneys for four states told an appellate panel why voter-approved prohibitions in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee should be honored. All the while, plaintiffs and their families filled row after row of a huge, ornate courtroom, arms around one another, occasionally shushing babies and listening for their names to be mentioned. BAGHDAD — Stranded on a barren mountaintop, thousands of minority Iraqis are faced with a bleak choice: descend and risk slaughter at the hands of the encircled Sunni extremists or sit tight and risk dying of thirst. Humanitarian agencies said Tuesday that between 10,000 and 40,000 civilians remain trapped on Mount Sinjar since being driven out of surrounding villages and the town of Sinjar two days earlier. But the mountain that had looked like a refuge is becoming a graveyard for their children. Unable to dig deep into the rocky mountainside, displaced families said they have buried young and elderly

President Obama gave a press conference this evening. He started a little over an hour late without explanation. Reporters stuck to asking questions that they evidently knew Obama would be comfortable answering. None of them asked him about any of his administration scandals. ABC’s Jon Karl, usually a tough questioner of Obama and his spokesmen, asked a rambling question that played right into the Democrats’ “economic patriotism” canard. Despite the fact that the president showed a passionless, bloodless, disinterested face to the world, he still managed to do some damage. Chris Jansing of CNN asked Obama if the sanctions against Russia are working.

Forty-seven of the government´s 73 independent watchdogs known as inspectors general voiced their complaints in a letter to congressional leaders this week. They accused several major agencies -- the Justice Department, the Peace Corps and the chemical safety board -- of imposing "serious limitations on access to records." Concern about rising wealth and income inequality has generated all kinds of solutions, often focused on improving the lot of the people at the bottom with measures such as minimum wages. But instead of putting a floor on what people get, why not put a ceiling on how much they get to keep?(Snip)Suppose that people, after paying ordinary income taxes, would be allowed to keep up to, say, $500,000 of their income, then would be obliged to give away the rest to the charities of their choice or, if they like, to a charity of their own design and creation.
