Liberal Professor Gives 4 Reasons
Obama Admin ‘Probably Doesn’t

Independent Journal Review, by Caroline Schaeffer

Even George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley knows it hasn’t been a great week for the President. In an interview with CNN, the liberal professor lists the reasons why Obama would rather just stay in bed this week: 1. The administration was found to be in violation of the 4th Amendment and privacy when it was discovered that the National Security Agency had been compiling metadata records for all telephone communications in the United States. 2. Obama was found in violation of separation of powers when he made unconstitutional recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board. The Supreme

Though it’s been an “awful ten days” for Obama, it’s of his own doing. Maybe a couple games of golf would cheer him up – he’s nearing 180 rounds; could he get to 200 by the end of July

With his luck running so badly ... if I were him I´d worry about lightening on the golf course.

It´s only four minor setbacks for the commie who has hurled a thousand grenades at our nation´s foundation. But keep chipping away patriots, it´s just a matter of time until we take back our country.

(Video) On Friday´s broadcast of MSNBC´s "Morning Joe," host Joe Scarborough took aim at Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for his instance on attacking the billionaire Koch Brothers on a regular basis, but isn´t without fault himself. "[It is] sad and pathetic when somebody calls a person un-American especially when they are bigger offenders of the action he defines as un-American,” Scarborough said. Scarborough pointed to the fundraising prowess of Reid, whose so-called Senate Majority PAC dominates the charts on individual spending for the 2013-2014 with $32 million in expenditures, an $8 million advantage over the next closest competitor,

President Obama is not popular at this point in his presidency, even in a blue state like Minnesota. Our own Senator Al Franken repeatedly bristled as GOP candidate Mike McFadden cited Franken’s 97 percent voting record in support of Obama at their debate in Duluth earlier this week. Franken mocked the statistic but didn’t offer a correction. That’s because the statistic is correct and because any purported correction would be even more damning if it came from Franken. The 97 percent figure is a good one to use. It doesn’t come from a partisan source; it comes from Congressional Quarterly.

The Associated Press’ Washington bureau chief is the latest journalist to criticize the Obama administration for failing to live up to its promise of transparency. “Bush was not fantastic,” Sally Buzbee recently told a meeting of journalists. “The [Obama] administration is significantly worse than previous administrations.” Buzbee detailed eight ways the Obama administration is restricting access to information at a joint meeting of the American Society of News Editors, the Associated Press Media Editors and the Associated Press Photo Managers. Her comments were highlighted on the AP’s Definitive Source blog. 1) Journalists Can’t See the Fight Against Islamic Militants:

Talking about “civility,” or what used to be called good manners until good manners disappeared, has become the rage in certain unlikely precincts in America. Talking about civility may be the next Big Thing. Both Democrats and Republicans have prescribed a dose of civility to restore amiability to Washington, but Harry Reid is nobody’s idea of a man a Republican would sit down to supper with without a squad of Marines to guard his back. Nevertheless, some unlikely suspects are trying to light a firecracker in the dark. The Station, a restaurant in Bernardsville, N.J., is paying people to be

A few months ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal traveled to Washington to introduce a new national health care proposal. While there, he arranged to meet privately with a small group of conservative journalists and policy experts at the offices of the Ethics and Public Policy Center think tank. Some of the experts engaged Jindal in debate about one of the plan´s more arcane provisions. The back-and-forth between Jindal and his questioners went deep into the proposal´s details, and it was soon clear that Jindal could dive as far into the health care policy weeds as any of the wonkiest wonks.

GOLDEN, Colo. -- A suburban Denver school board refused to back off a proposed review of the Advanced Placement U.S. history course on Thursday despite waves of protest from dozens of students, parents and residents who accused the board´s new conservative majority of trying to influence children with their political views. Instead, the Jefferson County board voted 3-2 to expand the membership on two existing curriculum review committees to include students, parents and administrators. The two women on the board who oppose the conservative majority held their heads in their hands after losing a bid to delay the vote so

President Obama was interrupted Thursday evening during a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala by a protester heckling him to move sooner on immigration. As Obama attempted to reassure frustrated Latinos that he would take up executive action on immigration reform this year, an undocumented activist named Blanca Hernandez cut him off twice, yelling, "We need relief now!" “If anybody wants to know where my heart is, or whether I want to have this fight, let me put those questions to rest right now: I am not going to give up this fight until it gets done,” Obama

My story about the president talking to the black caucus about white people inflicting constant racial injustice on black people came in at 1500 words. I was just getting warmed up. I thought it strange that at the same time the president was trying to persuade us that black people are relentless victims, black people were committing acts of racial violence in places like Seattle, Miami, Indianapolis, Bronx, Ferguson, Kansas City, Providence, Minneapolis and 18 miles from where

The quintessential question of Watergate was “what did the President know and when did he know it?” Obamagate, the vast scandal that encompasses an entire presidency, offers a preemptive answer. Obama didn’t know anything and he never knew it. At least not until, like smuggling weapons to druglords, bugging journalists, IRSing his political enemies and killing vets, his right hand found out about what his left hand was doing from the morning paper. After skipping 58% of his daily intelligence briefings in Term 1 and 59% of them in Term 2, he went on 60 Minutes and blamed intelligence agencies for being

President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

Count House Speaker John Boehner as a fan of Jeb Bush for president. He also hasn´t spoken to Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz in two years. The driving issue of the 2016 election will be “competence,” and if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush runs, “he’s got a real shot” at winning, the Ohio Republican told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Tuesday. Boehner applauded Bush’s ability to “talk about Republican issues better than most anybody that we’ve got out there,” approving of his “real record of reform” as Florida’s governor from 1999 to 2007. He also called potential candidates Ohio Gov. John

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals. That decision tossed out the convictions on money laundering and conspiracy charges. At that time Justice Melissa Goodwin wrote “The fundamental problem with the state´s case was its failure to prove proceeds of criminal activity,” according to a September 19th report on Breitbart News.

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which
