As Netanyahu Vows ‘Hamas Will Pay’ for
3 Teens’ Deaths, Obama Urges Restraint

PJ Media, by Bridget Johnson

Original Article

President Obama urged “all parties to refrain from steps that could further destabilize the situation” after the bodies of three kidnapped Israeli teens were found. Eyal Yifrach, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Frenkel, 16, were kidnapped from the kibbutz Kfar Etzion in the West Bank. Naftali was a dual citizen with an American passport. The youths were walking home from their yeshiva about halfway between Jerusalem and Hebron, possibly hitchhiking as public transportation in the area is scarce. One of the boys reportedly got a call into Israeli police to say “we’re being kidnapped” at about 10:30 p.m. before the line

The senseless deaths of those boys should not be lessened.

What if the Israelis had taken muslim children for ransom and the shoe was on the other foot?

What comment would our tyrannical "president" make? I would suggest he would be up in arms because he has made little effort to make peace.

He has shoved his nose into "fundamentally changing" the middles east tipping it against US interests in the region. THAT is his policy.

He bumbles around like it is the news media´s job to provide his daily security briefings, that he "didn´t know" thus and so was going on. Much bloodshed has been spilled over his childish and feckless leadership.

His once-adoring press are having integrity attacks and many are jumping ship. Netanyahu is being railroaded into all sorts of "global" kinds of diplomacy which he resists because his job is to protect his country.

God help us to find a way that people would find a way to live peacefully, because except for strong religious hatred, people would be able to live in peace and raise families and celebrate life instead of death.

Why is it that Israel is always asked to show restraint? Why is it that the blood of Jews is always shed, but not the blood of those who are truly evil? It´s a rhetorical question. The world hates the Jews and is afraid of the followers of the pedophile prophet.

It is at times like these, when he is pushed kicking and screaming into the crucible, that Obama’s callowness shows. For his supporters, that jejune, jocular air has been a plus for almost six years. For the rest of us, it has served as a liability and an irritation. Yesterday, it became a wholesale embarrassment. On the perpetual-campaign trail, the pattern is familiar. Trotting up to the podium, the president fist-bumps the audience’s stragglers and smiles a toothy and humble grin at those who catch his eye. New data shows the White House has painted a false picture of the Central American migration by hiding a huge spike in “family units” who are illegally crossing the Texas border. The data, which was dumped by the U.S. border patrol late Friday afternoon, shows that inflow of youths and children traveling without parents has doubled since 2013, to 57,525 in the nine months up to July 2014. But the number of migrants who cross the border in so-called “family units” has spiked five-fold to 55,420, according to the border patrol’s data, which came out amid a storm of news about the

Water is not a human right. It’s a human need. Ever since Adam and Eve got booted out of Eden, people have devoted most of their energy and labor to meeting the basic needs of food, water, clothing and shelter. It’s the origin of work — you’re hungry, you’re thirsty, you need some decent threads and a roof over your head, you have to get up in the morning and do something constructive. There will be a lot of folks in the streets of Detroit Friday afternoon challenging that truth. The legion of lefties in town for the Netroots Nation gathering have

It is a bad sign when your political defense can be summed up with the phrase “things could be worse.” It is a very bad sign when that weak excuse applies to not only an incumbent president’s economic policy but also to his foreign policy. Job growth is only a mirage and economic growth is anemic at best, but the president and his Democratic allies are still trying to convince us that our economy is in a good place and getting better. Secretly intercepted chatter suggests a deadly Russian missile system was smuggled across the border to Ukraine just hours before a Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down. The Ukrainian Security Service released the incriminating tapes Friday as President Obama threatened to crank up economic sanctions against Russia and the probe of the mass murder continued. Investigators descended Friday on the sunflower fields near the Ukraine-Russia border to recover evidence and to determine exactly who was behind the attack on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, killing all 298 people aboard. The United Nations said 80 of those killed were children. World leaders demanded an immediate ceasefire in

If you’re looking for a reason for the supposed impoverishment of Gaza, look no further than the maze of tunnels – some of them miles long — Hamas has built under their territory and beyond their borders into Israel. It’s the jihadist version of Boston’s “Big Dig.” The construction is so extensive that nearly every able-bodied man must have been employed in the occupation of tunnel-building, not to mention the huge diversion of funds, much of it donated by the West, for material like concrete originally trucked into Gaza by the Israelis and others for “humanitarian purposes.” A huge complex is

It was not even a month ago that Vladimir Putin stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the elected leaders of the Western world to commemorate the D-Day invasion. I hope whoever issued that invitation has the decency to feel some embarrassment today. Through the past eight months of escalating Russian violence against Ukraine, too many European governments have treated the Ukraine issue as remote and marginal: regrettable, yes, but not a threat to the peace of the continent. It was more important, they felt, to sustain a normal relationship with Russia. That illusion died yesterday along with the murdered passengers of Malaysia Airlines

I´m pretty confident that if President Barack Obama could reverse one thing about his presidency it would be the Republican wave in 2010. It stalled his agenda, it empowered the right, it prefigured damaging budget fights, it turned a bunch of states into right wing laboratories and allowed Republicans to gerrymander themselves into control of the House for many cycles in a row. The stakes were very large and he and Democrats were not well prepared. Relative to a political disaster of that scale, I agree with Hoover Institution fellow Tod Lindberg, who argued on The New Republic website Wednesday
