The Italian navy has found about 30 bodies in a fishing boat carrying hundreds of migrants between Sicily and the North African coast. The migrants who died appeared to have been asphyxiated. The discovery was made when rescuers boarded the vessel to evacuate a number of people said to be in distress, two of them pregnant women. The navy says that over the weekend it rescued more than 5,000 migrants trying to cross from North Africa. The figure was released soon after news emerged of the discovery of the bodies. The navy said that those who died were crammed into

Important:

The navy says that over the weekend it rescued more than 5,000 migrants trying to cross from North Africa.

The migrants were taken to Sicily. Italy has to clamp down too, returning migrants to the place from whence they came. All of a sudden, countries all over the world are being forced by guilt into this morass. It HAS to be stopped somehow.

Imagine this: A siren blares, you are holding your child’s hand, you know in barely 15 seconds a Qassam rocket will land only yards away. [Snip] Without thinking, an Israeli mother or father will shield their child. In those 15 seconds--where the sound of the siren may well be the last thing you hear on this Earth--children are shielded by their parents. A human shield. A shield of love. Now try to comprehend this. In Gaza, children are crammed into targeted buildings. Sometimes forced to wait on rooftops, children are then ejected from these buildings, forced to ‘escort’ targeted militants--with

Fifteen seconds. That’s roughly about the time it takes to tie your shoelaces or send a text message. Fifteen seconds is also the amount of time I had this morning to put on my clothes, get my fiancé and help our next-door neighbour (an elderly Holocaust survivor) to a bomb shelter, after Palestinian Hamas terrorists fired a rocket at Tel Aviv. As I write this, my country Israel is under a barrage of rocket fire from Palestinian terrorists in Gaza. Hundreds of rockets have been fired into the heart of Israel in the past few days now, including now also

The figure has almost trebled over the last year and is the highest it has been for six years. The statistics show that the numbers waiting at least six weeks for CT scans have doubled in just one month, from 859

This is the shocking moment ISIS militants took sledgehammers to Iraqi tombs - smashing them to pieces. The rebels, who are members of the Islamic State terror group, were filmed attacking centuries-old graves in the north-west city of Mosul in Ninevah province. Donning balaclavas and black coats, they swung sledgehammers into the tombs, causing pieces of dust and stone to fly through the air. One of the devastated tombstones belonged to the Prophet Jonah (Younis in Arabic) and was revered by Muslims and Christians alike, according to Iraqi authorities. The Israeli army has launched its biggest offensive in nearly two years on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, killing more than 20 Palestinians in airstrikes on 160 sites. Army spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner says warplanes early Wednesday attacked sites including Hamas command centers and rocket launchers. The offensive has set off the heaviest fighting between Israel and the Islamic militant group Hamas since an eight-day battle in November 2012. Militants unleashed rocket salvos deep into Israeli territory, and Israel mobilized thousands of forces along the Gaza border for a possible ground invasion into the Palestinian territory. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Sarah Palin on Tuesday joined a growing chorus of Republicans calling for the impeachment of President Obama, writing in a Breitbart op-ed that the influx of young illegal immigrants over the southern border "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´no mas.´ " Mixed/careless metaphors aside, this is nothing but bad news for Republicans — especially four months until the 2014 election. Palin is hardly the first GOP politician to raise the issue of impeachment over the past couple years. Others include Sens. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Reps. Despite his continuous denials, some still believe that Mitt Romney will run for president in 2016. Speaking to MSNBC on Monday, Rep. He probably doesn’t want me to say that. A hundred times he says he’s not, but Mitt Romney has always accomplished what he has set out to do,”

Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.” Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim.
