Report: Canada Pulls Plug on Keystone
Pipeline – Will Send Oil to Asia

Gateway Pundit, by Jim Hoft

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 6/30/2014 5:35:16 AM

The Keystone Pipeline project was expected to create tens of thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. And the pipeline would bring oil from Canada and North Dakota to refineries in the United States. The proposed project would have extended from Alberta, Canada to Illinois, transporting approximately 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Estimated cost is $1.7 billion. But Obama rejected the plan in 2011 and 2014. Democrats are beholden to the radical green movement – the poor and middle class be damned. Now this… Canada pulled the plug on Keystone and will

The king in DC is off the hook, obama doesn´t have to make a decision now, and it is the Canadian´s fault that the unions don´t get jobs.

This is more ongoing proof that obama and the democrats hate the poor and the middle class. They want oil to be high.
They want food to be high.
They want electricity to be high.
They know how to live our lives better than we do.

The Left, and its Envirowhackos, are utterly stupid. Ignorant beyond all belief.
Their opposition to Keystone was based on the false premise that Tar Sands bitumen was so much "dirtier." Not only is that false, as Venezuela heavy crude--used every day in US refineries--is just as "dirty," but now that Tar Sands bitumen will go off to China--WHERE THEY EFFECTIVELY HAVE NO EMISSIONS CONTROLS NOR CLEAN-UP EQUIPMENT.
That´s right. Even if the Keystone bitumen came to US refineries, they would have had to meet existing emissions standards, no matter how "dirty" the bitumen was. (AS IT IS ACTUALLY BEING USED NOW BY BP IN THEIR OHIO REFINERY). But instead, the Envirowhackos can take solace from knowing that "dirty" Keystone bitumen will go to China, where its emissions will spew across the globe.
Stupid? Very stupid!

All the jobs and energy security which Canadian oil could have delivered to America, will instead be delivered to Asia.

The Marxists here will be deliriously happy about this. But for the unions, who could have had tens of thousands of new jobs, it presents a dilemma this next election. If they ever find out that Obama isn´t really their friend, there will be hell to pay at the voting machines (unless they´ve been tampered with again.)

It´s just that he made the kind of decision only a weak, out-of-touch, Gay-obsessed, arrogant, stumbling, two-bit, belly-aching, finger-pointing, Constitution-stomping, dope-smoking, monument-Barrycading, Benghazi bullshitting, Treasury-looting, economy-wrecking, healthcare-destroying, celebrity gad-fly, selfie-posing, lawless phoney-baloney, plastic banana republic socialist hood-ornament and bald-faced liar would make! When a President is actively making decisions that bring harm to this country and its citizens, what is our recourse? We can not look to our elected representatives to help us because they have shown themselves to be totally ineffective. Not only are they hamstrung by Harry Reid and the democrats, their own inability to make their case to the American public is pathetic. Apparently, they are content with rising energy prices which will necessarily make the cost of goods and services higher.

American citizens seem to have lost their sense of outrage and the media does nothing but protect Obama in whatever horrible decision he makes. It is very disheartening to watch this unfold and see there is no relief in sight. Obama is systematically destroying our economy, our military, our culture, our future and nothing slows him down. He will push every anti-American policy down our throats these next two years. Where is the outrage? Gas and food prices are soaring. People can´t find work. Will the American people rise up and demand a stop to this?

Not only the envirowhackos but many of the American Indian leaders and their tribes were opposed to this pieline*. Of course for the uber wealthy envirowhackos and celebrities, what do they care about the cost of fuel. As for the American Indian tribal leaders, what do they care about the cost of fuel when all they do is continue to ask for handouts from the federal government. As for Obama, what does he care about the cost of fule when We the People are buying it for him.

Question: Who got the GOP to shut up about this? The GOP leadership in Congress seemed to go silent on the energy issue, including the pipeline, at about the same time they went warm and fuzzy on illegals. At the start of the Romney campaign, being pro-energy for the USA was at the top of the list of to-dos, but it dropped slowly from sight as time went on. Maybe I missed it, but I have not seen much pipeline pushback from our team.

Something to add to the mix is that the Canadian Greens with money from Soros, tides, and all the usual suspects including Putin will tie up the pipeline to the pacific coast of Canada for years. Just recently the Canadian supreme court gave title to a huge area of BC to the native tribe there. The others will want the same and if this continues the pipeline will never be built and the oil will be shut in until Russia takes over Canada and Putin can get the proceeds. The Canadians would not have made this move unless they recently received a direct "No" from obama. They waited this long, they could have waited another two years. As stated above, the Republicans once again failed us. Their six years of non-resistance to obama proves that they were all hatched in the same nest. The courageous, young fighters like Trey Gowdy and Ted Cruz are what we need now.

Nothing new here today, Zero is trying to destroy the country at a faster pace. In Detroit the natives just can´t believe they have to pay for water and so the bills just add up.

I had my water shut off one time when I was broke, and you soon realize that water isn´t just there to drink, it also flushes toilets. Soon you will smell Detroit from miles away, if you don´t already.

Now fuel prices will skyrocket because Canada finally gave up on Keystone and realized that Zero is impossibly incompetent and was just stalling. With the new Terrorist invasions going on, Obama and Congress have also decided to raise gas taxes to finally break the US economy into little pieces.

Hope everyone knows we cannot have a strong economy as long as we have a poor energy policy.

The opposition to ANY oil pipelines in Canada is orchestrated by big American leftist money from such as Tides, Rockefeller fund, Sierra etc etc.
They have bought ALL the Canadian indian tribes situated in any area the pipelines may go through. Saudi money is also in play.

The Canadian supreme court, a progressive funkhole radical enough that it makes the American court look conservative has just handed the indian industry almost total control over the economics of the country in a muddle-headed ruling last week.

So, the chances of any pipeline going anywhere in Canada is very unlikely. North America is floating on an ocean of oil and gas but the left is winning the battle to keep us in chains to Islam.

We have muslim terrorists in the seat of government who shut down our oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico and are doing their best to shut off all other sources. The given reason is to promote electric cars, the real reason is to kill the American economy. The Keystone Pipeline is just one more step in the process. How long are they going to get away with it? #12, tell us how you REALLY feel! I agree that you need to add a few adjectives to the description too...not just dog-eating either.

#39, I wish our gas was only $3.64 here in California. It has been over $4 per gallon for a long time now. Disgusting and just plain wrong!!

Not only does the increased cost of fuel make it hard on the poor and middle class to get around, but it also makes the cost of living skyrocket in almost every direction. The costs of food and other necessities multiplies whenever the price of fuel increases. It is becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet anymore. $100 doesn´t even last a week anymore.

A considerable majority of the American electorate cares about keeping gasoline prices from soaring out of control. Some Republican/conservative leader needs to come up with a compelling explanation to make the electorate realize that Obama´s non-decision prevents the lowering of gas prices and deprives the USA construction industry of billions of dollars of jobs that, in turn, would generate more income for many, many voters. This should be a battle cry in the 2014 Senate election contests.

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

CNN chose to describe the recently detained Jose Antonio Vargas, longtime journalist for U.S. publications and legal citizen of the Philippines, as a “symbol of the immigration debate.” The news network aired his documentary, Undocumented, several times. At the heart of Vargas’s viewpoint — and CNN’s decision to refer to him as a symbol, as opposed to, say, a scofflaw — is the notion that it is unfair to deny citizenship to him, considering his circumstances. Vargas came to the United States from the Philippines when he was 12 and didn’t learn he was in the country illegally until he was

CIUDAD HIDALGO, Mexico – Mexico is promising to stem the flow of Central American migrants to the United States by tightening control at its notoriously porous Guatemalan border. But messages from the country´s top two leaders in little more than a week have provided few details on how. And the scene on the ground is business as usual. Dozens of Central Americans who paid $1.50 a head could be seen this week crossing the broad Suchiate River on improvised rafts of inner tubes and wooden boards, in full view of Mexican police on the shore and immigration agents posted on

John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. [Snip] It can take up to 10 minutes for every radio, TV, cable and satellite provider to

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
