North Korea Preparing to

TOKYO -- North Korea said Monday it is preparing to try two Americans who entered the country as tourists for carrying out what it says were hostile acts against the country. Though a small number of U.S. citizens visit North Korea each year as tourists, the State Department strongly advises against it. Investigations into Americans Matthew Todd Miller and Jeffrey Edward Fowle concluded that suspicions about their hostile acts have been confirmed by evidence and their testimonies, Pyongyang´s official Korean Central News Agency said in a short report. KCNA said North Korea is making preparations to bring them before a court. It

If you go to a travel site and choose Hell on Earth for a destination which country comes to the top of the list?

Why would any westerner choose North Korea for their vacation? Wouldn´t it imply that you have a case of weapons grade stupidity?

North Korea would NEVER have given Ronald Reagan a problem because they knew there would be repercussions coming back on them. BUT...they KNOW and have no fear whatsoever of Obama ..they KNOW he hates USA and will go along with whatever attacks come to our nation from any enemy.

Since North Korea has some sort of spiritual alliance with radical Islamists, perhaps Obama is considering trading the 2 American tourists for the rest of the Gitmo prisoners. /s

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´." The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, thinks that´s loco. (Technically, he said, "I disagree".) For Republicans hoping to avoid the kind of drama that might derail what looks to be a very good midterm election year, this kind of call is both a nuisance and a trend. We have written several times about the logjam on visas for foreign interpreters who served our military during Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The logjam has been particularly egregious for Afghan interpreters. Even Democrats are appalled. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said last year: We have to keep our promise to individuals who risked their lives serving alongside our troops. Failing to act puts lives at further risk and hurts our credibility around the globe. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a veteran of the Afghan war, expressed “deep concern” that “the threat posed to interpreters by Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan is being downplayed or disregarded,”

When it comes to Atlantic City’s casino mess, don’t put The Blame on The Donald. Billionaire Donald Trump said Saturday that the imminent closing of the Trump Plaza casino in A.C. was no reflection on him or his real estate empire. “I let them use my name, but I got out seven years ago,” Trump told the Daily News. “I have nothing to with it. We may have to do something about the name.” The casino was expected to close its doors Sept. 16, leaving more than 1,000 employees out of work, according to its management. Rebel Pundit interviewed the community this week about Barack Obama’s open border policies and his spending on the illegal immigrant community. Let’s just say – they are NOT HAPPY. One local resident even says, “Barack Obama will go down as the worst president ever elected.” The Chicago resident below says: “With the president setting aside all these funds for immigrants and forsaken African-American community and African-American families, I think that’s a disgrace. And Barack is from the heart of 55th in the City of Chicago… He will probably go down as the worst president ever elected. Bill Clinton was the African-American president.“

Alexis de Tocqueville once said that the limits placed on the central power in the new world are different from the limits placed on national power in the old world. In the New World, the national government has jurisdiction in certain specific areas. It is prohibited by law and custom from transgressing the boundaries of its jurisdiction. In that sense its power is severely limited. But within those boundaries it is sovereign and almost completely beyond challenge. If something such as war or taxing power is deemed a ‘federal matter,’ challenges to that power, for example the Whiskey Rebellion, were

We all remember the fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The moral of the story: Lie one too many times and nobody will believe you, even when you’re telling the truth. Now we have a case of The Government Who Cried Wolf, showing how the failure of the Obama administration’s foreclosure mitigation programs haunt them to this day. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), which oversees mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, wants to help around 676,000 homeowners it has identified as eligible for refinancing under the government’s Home Affordable Refinancing Program (HARP).

Israel´s military said Sunday that four of its special forces soldiers were injured in clashes during an incursion into northern Gaza to destroy a rocket launching site as both sides ignored a unanimous recommendation for a cease-fire from the U.N. Security Council. The operation marks the first time that Israeli ground forces have been known to enter Gaza during the current fighting. The military said that the soldiers had returned to Israeli territory and the operation did not appear to herald the start of a larger ground offensive. The raid came after the Palestinian militant group Hamas claimed responsibility for

Ordinarily, a money-losing company like Cynk Technology Corp. (OTC:CYNK) would languish on the over-the-counter stock market and attract little attention from either investors or the media. Cynk, though, has managed to attract plenty of attention, along with a market capitalization of $4.5 billion. That´s an astonishing feat for a company with no products, no revenue, no website and exactly one employee. To put this in perspective, the New York Times Co. (NYT), whose roots date back to 1851, sports a market value of $2.1 billion, while restaurant chain Zoe´s Kitchen (ZOES), which has 111 locations in 15 states, is valued by the

NEW YORK - The federal government is continuing to dole out billions of dollars to people who shouldn´t get them. A government watchdog agency said an estimated $106 billion in payments were made in error last year: meaning they were the wrong amount, went to the wrong person or lacked sufficient documentation. These payments include tax refunds, unemployment benefits, Social Security benefits, and Medicare and Medicaid coverage. The improper payments could be even higher since not all agencies reported to the Government Accountability Office. The White House acknowledged that "the loss to the Federal Government is significant," but it pointed

Have you ever gone on a couple dates with someone, but then decided it just wasn’t going work out? It’s a tough spot to be in, especially when you know they are totally into you and you have to be the one to call it off. Chattanooga was in that position in February of this year with the United Auto Workers (UAW). Ever since Volkswagen opened its American manufacturing headquarters in Chattanooga in 2011, the UAW has been the city’s heavy-breathing suitor. Give them this: the union has been very persistent. Caving to their determination, Volkswagen finally agreed to go on

The US government has been pushing the idea of home solar panels for quite a while now, giving the industry a significant, additional nudge when the current federal subsidy program was generously expanded in 2008. The idea behind this was that if homeowners wanted to save some money on their energy bill by using solar power, they could receive a 30% subsidy to help cover the costs. Sounds pretty sweet, eh? Well, when the government is giving away taxpayer cash, plenty of people will line up to get it… and it’s not always those who were intended to benefit. This
