This is now the deadliest
ebola outbreak on record —

It begins in the morning. The victim awakens feeling unwell. They’re without appetite. Their head aches. Sore throat. Fever. Chills. (Snip) The danger has never been greater in West Africa as the worst Ebola outbreak on record continues its deadly sweep of jungles and cities, hopping national borders and frustrating hundreds of doctors who parachuted in to vanquish the disease but have so far failed. As of Thursday, the pandemic with a 90 percent mortality rate has killed more than 367 people and afflicted 635 more in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, where it is believed to have begun. The toll is greater than the 280 dead in 1976,

Comments:
Imagine if this Ebola disease hits our towns because of 0bama´s feckless lack of control of our borders. There is more than one way to destroy a healthcare system that you want to eventually control. BTW, never forget that 0bamacare, taken off page one by LSM talking points for other numerous White House scandals, must be issue in midterm elections (with amnesty).

I remember in the late 1950´s - - reading article after article with great fanfare about how Africa was a sleeping giant - - which would be unleashed with the impending end of European colonialism.

The newly-liberated African nations would boom and prosper without that heavy yoke.

That was - - what? - - 55 years ago? Yup - - they´ve really thrived without the Europeans. Chalk up another leftist fantasy gone awry.

What a horrifying disease. One of the mysteries is where the virus resides and why it sometimes goes dormant. They warn people about eating ´bush meat´, so perhaps it is caught from contact with jungle animals.

They need a couple gallons of therapeutic Garlic oil and some gel caps-----5 to 10 drops for a few days might easily eradicate this virus. Garlic has been a super antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal natural product used for years without side effects. The oil and capsules are easy to use. Research it.
After Rx did nothing for the staff flesh eating bacteria, garlic oil stopped it for me when I started taking it internally. Used that and other antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial oils topically all along when the doctor I used didn´t know what the condition was. Going on 8 years since an Rx antibiotic for me. Works for me.

When any species overpopulates, nature will ultimately restore a balance. We are not immune to this.

So be it.

Friends of ours spent a year with Mercy Ships; they dock off the coast of Africa and treat people, most of whom have NEVER seen a doctor.

They said they´d never seen such poverty, such uncleanliness; so many with missing limbs (from the butchers who rampage and whack off hands, feet, and more).

I´d be willing to bet that most people in the West have no clue about what life is really like, STILL like, in the Third World, including Central and South America, and most of Mexico.

Beirut - Fears continue to spread in Lebanon about the presence of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) after the Sunni militant group claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on a central Beirut hotel, the third such attack in two weeks. The militant group has expanded its operations in both Syria and Iraq, giving rise to fears that it could also seek to start an insurgency against the Lebanese government at a time when the country still has no president. In a statement published on Friday, ISIS announced that a Saudi suicide bomber had attacked the Duroy Hotel in central Beirut. Three police officers were wounded in the attack.

A California man decided to turn the fear that drones will be abused by law enforcement officials on its head by using the technology to monitor police behavior. “I don’t think it’s a substitute for a hand-held camera, but it’s definitely a complement,” Daniel Saulmon of Torrance told the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Saulmon said he has been filming police behavior with the technology for a month, typically monitoring DUI checkpoints to make sure police aren’t abusing their power. He added that he is careful not to run afoul of any laws while filming. “I have to use common sense with it,” Saulmon said. “It’s easy to fly.

Barnes & Noble, the struggling bookseller, saw its shares jump 8% Wednesday after saying it will spin off its Nook digital book business. The Nook business, which produced digital readers that were a constant also-ran versus offerings from Amazon, Google and Apple, required heavy investments from the company that it was ill-prepared to afford. Shares are up $2.13, or 10%, to $22.69 on the news. Will Gunn, who has served as VA general counsel since 2009, will be stepping down from a job he’s held since the start of the Obama administration. And Robert Jesse, currently the acting undersecretary for the Veterans Health Administration, will be stepping down and rejoining the department’s medical ranks. That could change under legislation that would lift the underage ban for students enrolled in tasting courses that are required for an associate's or bachelor's degree.
