Serial Killers: The 6 Worst Hard Drive Destroyers Hard drive failure occurs when the hard disk drive fails to function properly and information stored on your computer can no longer be accessed. Hard disk drives fail for a number of reasons, ranging from hardware life expectancy to human error. There are four basic types of hard drive failures. Software or firmware damage may cause the disk to become unreadable, resulting in the inability to interact properly with the computer. Problems with the controller board on the hard disk may result in electronic failure. Mechanical failure can occur when components on

This sounds about right.

Serial Killer #6: Human error: The functions of the hard drive can be impaired by human tampering with the system files. Accidental deletion of files imperative to the disk drive is not uncommon. Improper installation and removal of files from your computer can cause the hard disk to malfunction. Activities conducted during a forensic investigation of a computer may also compromise the hard drive.

Wrong. Five types. They forgot "political."

I acquired my first personal computer in 1986, a Compaq sporting an Intel 8088 processor. In all those years, I´ve had exactly one hard disk crash - a cheap 70 MB job, never designed to be moved and banged about, crammed into a "lunchbox" style portable where it ran perpetually hot. That Lerner´s drive, and that of six of her colleagues would conveniently "crash" just as investigators are closing in is what is known as a "statistically unfavored event" with odds in the millions to one.

No, they´ve got this all wrong. The number one reason a hard drive crashes is because of subpoenas.

A tech guy once told me that laptops shouldn´t be used as literal laptops, because the heat generated by them when they´re pressed into someone´s lap causes the hard drives to fry. It was more technical than that, but you get the point. Leaving your laptop lying on the bed or a couch for hours while it´s running isn´t a good idea.

Dear Leader Barack Hussein´s compassion and concern for social justice are beyond the computational ability of any machine. It is no wonder that the computers most filled with Him end up crashing.

A research grant to the National Institute of Deep Thinkers have discovered other ways for the IRS to destroy computer hard disks.

1. Leaving in a vat of sulfuric acid for a year.

2. Shooting it with an AK47 with a 30 round magazine.

3. Giving it to Hillary when Slick is in range.

4. Tying it onto the back of a possum crossing the interstate during rush hour.

They just don´t make hard disks the way they used to.

I had a controller board catch fire just a few days ago on a PC. The first drive failure in years. Fortunately I backup regularly.

However, this isn´t about PC hard drives. That is irrelevant. This is about backing up the servers or failing to do so. Failing to do so is against IRS rules and "tampering" with the servers is against the law.

BTW, she doesn´t send official email from LoisLernersPC.com. She sends it from IRS.gov.

This excuse doesn´t even pass the laugh test. Liberals are devious but not necessarily smart. Eventually they will be found out.

I just degaussed 3 hard drives with neodymium magnets prior to disposal.

Of course we will never know how they pulled this off as the drives have been "recycled".

I started out back in the stone age with a Commodore 64. It didn´t have a hard drive but I have only suffered one hard drive crash in all those years. It wasn´t technically the hard drive´s fault but a power surge from a lightning strike. They are amazingly reliable considering what they do. They will run 24 hours a day for years.

Of course the old saying applies....´A hard drive is like a beautiful woman, one day she will leave you and take everything with her".

I wonder how many people being audited will swear that they sent their entire file to Dragon (Low-ass) Lerner, coincidentally during the time period the oversight committee is asking for. She wants a pass for the loss. How can the IRS ask of you what they want excused for them?

When I used to have a day job (HSBC Bank) no files were ALLOWED to be stored on a local hard drive. Everything was on a server, backed up, "salt mine" tapes, etc. the whole 9 yards. Company property, ya know.

Either this womean is lying (99.9% likely) or the IRS needs to be abolished for being total idiots.

The IRS found out that hard drives tend to fail when they are run through a mechanical shredder and then heated in a blast furnace until they start bubbling.

My fellow Americans, we are all bit players in the making of a metaphoric slasher movie: Obama Unchained, starring Barack Hussein Obama. Here is a summary of the movie. It is a heartwarming tale about how the mainstream media and Democratic Party suckered America into electing their extreme far-left dream president – a Trojan Horse in the form of a black man.

A Fourth of July parade float in Nebraska that showed a dummy standing outside an outhouse labeled "Obama Presidential Library" is drawing cries of racism from local residents and the Nebraska Democratic Party. The float, in the annual Independence Day parade in Norfolk, Neb., was affixed to trailer being towed behind a blue pickup truck. The dummy was clad in overalls, standing by a walker next to the outhouse. At Arizona State University, female students can earn extra credit by agreeing to not shave their armpits and legs for ten weeks. Breanne Fahs, a professor of women and gender studies, has made the special offer to her students as a way to encourage them to challenge social norms. “There’s no better way to learn about societal norms than to violate them and see how people react,” she told ASU News. “There’s really no reason why the choice to shave, or not, should be a big deal. President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008. When the German botanist Philipp von Siebold sent a variety of plant specimens to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in August 1850, he had no idea what he was unleashing on the world. Among the various floral and tuberous growths he dispatched was a plant which, 164 years later, is leaving a trail of mayhem all across the planet. It goes by the name of Japanese knotweed, or Fallopia japonica. It presents a pleasing appearance to the eye: heart-shaped leaves, bamboo stems and pretty, little white-flower tassels. The vast majority of 50,000 unaccompanied youths and children who have illegally crossed the Texas border during the last few months have been successfully delivered by federal agencies to their relatives living in the United States, according to a New York Times article. A second New York Times article report revealed that officials have caught an additional 240,000 Central American migrants since April, and are transporting many of them to their destinations throughout the United States. The 290,000 illegals — so far — are exploiting legal loopholes that allow them to get temporary permits to stay in the United States. Experts say that

Would you buy a bargain-priced airline ticket, but the catch was you had to stand for the entire flight? A new university study says the idea of standing-only sections on planes is no joke. An airline that removes seats can fit about 20% more passengers and, as a result, offer discounts of as much as 44% compared with airlines that offer big comfy seats, according to the study published in the International Journal of Engineering and Technology. Airlines in Ireland and China have looked into the concept, but none have yet put the idea into practice. Major carriers in the
