Fired Calif. nanny who
wouldn´t leave disappears

USA Today, by Michael Winter

A fired live-in nanny who had refused to leave a Southern California home and threatened to sue has disappeared, the family said Friday. Marcella Bracamonte told ABC News that 64-year-old Diane Stretton left the home in Upland, San Bernardino County, on Thursday morning and hasn´t returned. She left behind her belongings. "I don´t know what happened," Bracamonte said. The story of the nanny who wouldn´t leave became national news this week. Bracamonte and her husband, Ralph, told how they had hired Stretton in March to help care for their three children, ages 1, 4 and 11, in exchange for free

I would change those locks, pronto, then have a 3rd party pick up and store her belongings, video-taping the whole thing, so there is no question about how things were handled.

What a crazy situation!

I guess I don´t have a lot of sympathy for the young couple who hired this woman. First of all, they both looked able bodied enough to take care of their own kids! Secondly, why did they hire this senior Citizen to help in their house? Did they know anything about her? Or, did they just see cheap help? I feel sorry for the old lady as she probably is homeless now. I don´t feel sorry for the Yuppies who hired her! I would never invite a stranger into my home without a background check. I doubt they did one or they would have known this lady liked to sue people!

Looks like the shifty old broad had a plan in mind to take over when she moved in. (Probably a registered Democrat!) If the couple didn´t do an in-depth background check on her, they are probably registered D also. In California, that is a higher probability.

Of course, if a trace of her is found, that would change the entire picture.

Maybe they did what I would have done if someone took residence in my house, refused to leave, ate my food, and demanded I not be present in my own house from 8AM to 8PM--as though she owned it.
I think such a person would disappear. But I would have disappeared her belongings too.

A lady at our church told us about a somewhat similar problem with her parents, who live in CA. They let a 20-something guy move into their home for a couple months in exchange for helping upkeep the home. He soon got tired of the work and he would not leave! All the laws were stacked in his favor too. Eventually he got tired of living with ´old people´ and took off for good - probably what this woman did too.

Apparently Stretton has filed a lot of lawsuits--including one against her own son--and had a lot of lawsuits filed against her by homeowner´s associations, car rental agencies, etc.

She was seen sitting in her car outside the Upland police station yesterday, but she hid under a windshield protector when a news crew approached her.

A huge question in Democratic politics - other than “When is Hillary going to announce?” - concerns whether or not Senator Elizabeth Warren (D – Cherokee Nation) will run for president. If Hillary does not run, it is almost certain that Warren will. Well-known for her populist and Occupy-esque perspectives on healthcare, taxes, income redistribution and everything in-between, she is one of the rising stars of the Democratic party. Anticipating that it could happen, we’re getting out in front and establish her as a storyteller, to put it nicely, about her wealth.

The Obama administration estimates it will catch 90,000 illegal immigrant children by the end of the current budget year in September. Last year, fewer than 2,000 children were returned home to their native countries. Only 1 in 45 illegal alien children will be returned home. Clogged courts mean young immigrants face low odds of being sent back to their home countries. The Wall Street Journal reported: Thousands of children from Central America are undertaking a perilous journey to the U.S. border despite warnings from the U.S. that they will be sent back. In fact, many will get to stay. Data from immigration courts, along

One side effect from the chaos in Libya following the armed conflict in 2011 has been constant disruptions of the country’s considerable supplies to the global oil market. But while its output remains just a fraction of what it was under Qaddafi, it does seem to be rebounding recently, as Bloomberg reports: Libya pumped 300,000 barrels a day in June, down 73 percent from a year earlier, according to a Bloomberg survey of oil companies, producers and analysts. Output has risen to 350,000 barrels a day, National Oil Corp. spokesman Mohamed Elharari said by phone yesterday. This recent rebound notwithstanding, risks abound

What is happening at the southern border is a true and actual crisis. News accounts justly use words like chaos, collapse and breakdown. They feature images of children—toddlers, 4- and 5-year-olds—being shuffled to warehouse holding centers, sleeping crowded at night on what look like pallets, covered only in Mylar blankets. "I never thought we´d have refugee camps in America," said Texas Sen. John Cornyn, "but that´s what it´s appearing." All this gives normal people a feeling of besiegement and foreboding. Glenn Beck has set up Mercury One Children and Family Border Relief Fund to help illegals coming into the United States. He’s already raised $600,000. Beck stated that Obama would not have to step in and ask for $3.7 billion if private charities would pick up the slack and give to the swarm of illegals crossing the border. Is he kidding? Do we really need more churches and non-profits enabling this blatant attack on America? Rich people and liberal elite billionaires have no skin in the game when it comes to the consequences of illegal immigration so what do they care? It’s the working class and middle class who will take the hit.
