Hillary Clinton’s money woes
Washington Post, by Ruth Marcus

Original Article

Dear Secretary Clinton, Please consider this in the nature of a friendly intervention. You have a money problem. It’s time to deal with it before it gets worse. Actually, you have two money problems. The first is how you talk about it. The second is how you collect it — or, to be more precise, the fact that you’re still frenetically collecting it. Let me be clear at the outset: The issue isn’t that you’re rich, or even that you and your husband became rich after leaving office. American voters don’t have a problem with wealthy candidates or even wealthy ex-presidents

I am more stunned that there are organizations that are willing to hire either Bill or Hillary for these vast fees, considering that lying is their strong suit.

Ruth, you´re only worried that Hillary might do some political damage to herself. Since she´s a Democrat, that´s unlikely because the media won´t give it traction. She could shut down a bridge and nothing would come of it.

My problem with Hillary is that she´ll make a lousy president. Probably not as lousy as BHO, but not much better either. Plus she´s getting old and in questionable health. It´s best that she not run. Hillary should take care of herself and enjoy her remaining years.

#2, you are so right. Hillary should kick back and enjoy her golden years, dandling her grand child on her knee on the back patio of her country estate. A well stocked liquor cabinet; plenty of Bushmill´s and ice, Guinness and Harp lager on tap, and a loaded side arm to keep Bill the heck away from her would be just the ticket. Perhaps a hobby could be taken up. Macrame, perhaps, or a little harmless target practice on low flying airliners with laser pointers...

These ludicrous speaking fees are protection money, pure and simple. No one actually wants to hear what this aging, corrupt, blubbery crone has to say. And, FTA: "But you don’t have to hit its foundation up for a $225,000 fee, even one you plan to donate to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation. " As in you don´t have to fill your purse with this money...even if you plan to put it in your "back pocket".

Two observations: Hillary has done nothing for the poor or women. If she has, spell it out so I can understand. Hillary could not have been referring to Romney. He EARNED his money the old fashioned way by working for it not depending on his daddy. He was right when he said that 47 percenter´s won´t vote for him because they were lo info voters. It is a fact that they vote with their pocketbooks open because Obama promised to put hard working taxpayers money in them. They don´t watch the news and when they do, the MSM will only trash the Republicans not the Democrats. You are still in Hillary´s pocket. Not a pretty sight.

Maybe Hillary knows her political days are over and she is desperately trying to rake in the cash while she can. I truly do not believe she is up to a campaign physically. Her health just won´t permit it. However, she is a grifter at heart and must play the game until she unable to do so all the while filling her coffers. The love of money is the root of all evil. Add that love to political lust and you have the perfect storm that defines Bill and Hillary.

This could get really funny. Hillary thought a media-blitz book tour would give her public exposure in venues she could tightly control. It backfired big time because what the public got to see instead were her downcast, shifting eyes as she struggled to carefully parse words. They got to see her throw out excuses, and observed that when she feels threatened she resorts to absurd comments like "dead broke" ---comments which are laughable to most and cringeable to her supporters.
Apparently she never considered the consequences of overexposure. Once she´s started down this All Hillary All the Time path, it will be tough to pull back or she will appear to be retreating.
Hoisted by her own petard? Sweet.

Hillery isn´t poor. She has people falling all over themselves willing to giver her free money. A few phone calls, and she can get millions.

And what´s going on with her book sales the past couple days... She was number 32 and falling fast a couple days ago on Amazon. Now she´s back into the teens. Something´s fishy... Four out of five illegal immigrants seeking driver’s licenses under a new D.C. law have failed a written knowledge test — a rocky start to a program that in its first two months has issued 268 licenses, according to city officials. The failure rate of 80 percent compares with a 58 percent failure rate for people seeking traditional driver’s licenses, the Department of Motor Vehicles told a D.C. Council committee. In addition, a check of the DMV website this week shows a massive backlog in appointments required to apply for the District’s “limited-purpose license.” The first available date for an

President Obama has described his foreign-policy doctrine as an attempt to hit singles, doubles and the occasional home run. But at this stage of the game, it looks as though he has popped out, grounded into a double play and been hit by a pitch. His attorney general, Eric Holder, said Sunday that the threat of undetectable explosives from Syria is “more frightening than anything” he has experienced in office. And the Wall Street Journal ran a front-page article Monday reporting that “the breadth of global instability now unfolding hasn’t been seen since the late 1970s” and that “U.S. global

ASHKELON, Israel — The roar of sirens echoed across this sun-kissed city Monday afternoon, and in a heartbeat the woman in the pink bikini was out of the pool, shepherding her three young kids to the nearest shelter. Up above, the vapor trail of a rocket fired from Gaza, just 10 miles down the coast, ripped the clear blue sky. And then, a boom: The rocket had been shot down. The kids jumped back in the seaside pool, and their mother returned to her tanning. Through it all, the lifeguard had barely stirred. Such is the dichotomous reality this week

Ponder for a minute what AFSCME has done. The union has severed ties with the United Negro College Fund because the Koch brothers contributed $25 million to the fund. Or rather, because the fund accepted the contribution. The money will pay for 3,000 scholarships and other needs. To read about this episode, go here. The hatred whipped up against the Koch brothers has become nearly frightening, I think. It is undemocratic, unsettling, intolerant. Maybe it is time for a shake-up. President Obama’s second-term staffing was always going to be a risk. He abandoned his first term’s team of rivals for a closer-knit team of loyalists. The bet was that he was assured enough in the job to no longer need the in-house challenge — and that smooth-running consensus would compensate for the loss. The bet isn’t paying off. Overseas and at home, the administration seems besieged and befuddled. Obama is in danger of cementing an image of haplessness that would be hard to undo. The administration was surprised when Russian President Vladimir Putin

As we head into this break, it’s worth pausing to review and figure out exactly what we’ve learned about the American political landscape — as it relates to the 2014 midterm and 2016 presidential elections, the hopes (or lack thereof) for legislative accomplishments,

Until now, the politics of immigration have been seen as a no-lose proposition for President Obama and the Democrats. If they could get a comprehensive overhaul passed, they would win. And if Republicans blocked it, the GOP would further alienate crucial Hispanic and moderate voters. But with the current crisis on the Southwest border, where authorities have apprehended tens of thousands of unaccompanied Central American children since October, that calculus may be shifting. Republicans and even some Democrats have accused Obama of being insufficiently engaged in a calamity that many say he should have seen coming.

Luis Gutiérrez (D-IL) attacked his "shameful" Republican colleagues for wanting to change the 2008 child trafficking law so that the children from from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador current streaming across the border in hopes of evading deportation will be treated the same as those from Mexico before approving the $3.7 billion in emergency funding the president has requested.
