Dump the rhetoric and take them home,

Secretly seething from being demoted from House Speaker to House Minority Leader ever since January 3, 2011, Nancy Pelosi has been on the prowl for attention-grabbing ways to preen her peacock wings to the world. So today Pelosi is taking the opportunity of swooping back into the limelight by traveling to the southern border of the U.S. to be briefed by Customs and Border Protection on the flood of unaccompanied minors entering the country. “The California Democrat will also meet with a group of children held at the South Texas Detention Facility.” (Politico, June 26, 2014) Here’s a taste of the overblown rhetoric

Comments:
Nancy Pelosi is a case study of liberals demanding of you what they are not willing to do themselves.

Unfortunately for Nancy, BOTOX does not enhance brain function.

Pelosi will take them home and they´ll become slave labor in her husband Paul´s vinyards. The woman and her husband treat their workers like garbage. And the unions give her a pass. I wonder if it´s because of all the free money she funnels to them.

Be sure to take Harry with you, Nancy. He would love the smell of Guatemalan children packed like sardines in warehouses with barely a port-potty in sight.

Jenny Beth Martin, chair of the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, is calling on Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Reince Priebus to intervene in the Mississippi Senate race over incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran´s reliance on Democratic voters to prevail in the GOP runoff and amid emerging claims of illegitimate ballots. "No one disputes that Thad Cochran´s vote total Tuesday was the result of crossover votes cast by Democrats -- in fact, Establishment Republicans and their operatives are bragging publicly about their ´brilliant´ strategy,” Martin said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News.

My alma mater, Bowdoin College, made the front page of The New York Times earlier this month, but not in a good way. Nonetheless, institutional arrogance and disregard for human rights are always important topics to explore. On June 9, under the headline “Colleges and Evangelicals Collide on Bias Policy,” the Times reported, “For 40 years, evangelicals at Bowdoin College have gathered periodically to study the Bible together, to pray and to worship. They are a tiny minority on the liberal arts college campus, but they have been a part of the school’s community, gathering in the chapel, the dining center, the

So what’s with John Boehner’s newfound love of litigation? The speaker announced yesterday that he will ask the House to initiate a lawsuit against the president over his refusal to enforce the laws Congress has passed. That’s something the Wall Street Journal and George Will have both suggested, and it’s not a crazy idea. First, the House likely has standing to bring an action. In 1990 a federal court held that a group of congressmen could not bring an action over George H.W. Bush’s failure to comply with the 1974 War Powers Resolution, but left open whether the House as

A new Gallup poll finds that 41 percent of Americans want immigration levels to decrease than increase; just 22 percent want levels to increase. That’s nearly a two-to-one margin. If you go by party identification, 50 percent of Republicans, 43 percent of independents, and 32 percent of Democrats wish to see the flow of immigrants reduced. As our economic torpor continues under the Obama administration, the sentiments towards the issue of immigration will remain heated. Lydia Saad of Gallup wrote, “Deciding how many new immigrants to welcome each year can be controversial, particularly when unemployment is high, and seeming competition for good jobs

What transpired in the Mississippi Senate run-off is a red line for many conservatives across the country, because the Republican Party establishment essentially took a civil war and escalated it to a war for independence. It’s one thing to oppose your base in a primary. It’s entirely another to despicably play the race card against your base, and bolster the legitimacy of the propaganda of our race-baiting opponents on the Left. Only 14% of Republicans, 23% of independents, and 27% of Democrats favor increased immigration. Liberal bias in the media is so pervasive that partisan propaganda themes created by Democrats, for the purpose of electing Democrats and advancing their partisan agenda, take on a quasi-reality. Years ago, after seeing the umpteenth reiteration of a too-familiar theme, I remarked that the New York Times should create a standing headline -- "Republicans Divided" -- and run it as a regular column. If more than 80 percent of journalists are Democrats, as evidence clearly demonstrates, then what the media report about politics (and everything else) must be viewed skeptically: Is this true? Are all the facts as described?

Comparisons between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney have been greatly exaggerated, Hillary Clinton says. Clinton practically rolled with laughter when PBS’ Gwen Ifill noted humorlessly that her own husband has been “forced” to defend her recent comments about being “dead broke” after leaving the White House. What was humorous in that remarks is known only to Clinton. “I shouldn’t have said the, I think, five or so words that I said,” the former secretary of state said. “My inartful use of those five words doesn’t change who I am.” Later in the interview, Ifill asked if Clinton had become the Democratic adaptation of

A shocking new report from the Center for Immigration Studies claims to prove that every single new job created in America for the last fourteen years has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal. This would fly in the face of those who claim that immigration is an economic boon to native born Americans: The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000. Dear Secretary Clinton, Please consider this in the nature of a friendly intervention. You have a money problem. It’s time to deal with it before it gets worse. Actually, you have two money problems. The first is how you talk about it. The second is how you collect it — or, to be more precise, the fact that you’re still frenetically collecting it. Let me be clear at the outset: The issue isn’t that you’re rich, or even that you and your husband became rich after leaving office. Were Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails actually destroyed? An Ohio-based trade association, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), isn’t so sure, and they don’t find IRS commissioner Koskinen’s explanation of their loss very plausible. IAITAM administers internationally accepted certifications for information technology professionals. According to the group’s standards, if Lerner’s supposedly malfunctioning hardware was properly destroyed, there would be records of it. Dr. Barbara Rembiesa, president of IAITAM, questions whether there is documentation of the destruction of the files. Who performed the work, says Rembiesa, is important because not all IT professionals are IAITAM certified. “The notion
