Preserving Power at Any Cost

Last Tuesday in Mississippi, incumbent Republican Sen. Thad Cochran beat his challenger, State Sen. Chris McDaniel, in a Republican runoff. There is no dispute that Cochran won by bringing thousands of Democrats into the Republican runoff to support him. Cochran´s victory, if left unaddressed by conservatives, will set a dangerous precedent within Republican primaries. Republican PACs, national Republican political operatives and the Republican establishment collaborated to accuse conservative and tea party activists of racism. These Republicans painted their very base as the second coming on the KKK and Hitler.

The RINOs have hoisted themselves on their own petards, again.

After being handed historic midterm wins in 2010 by their energized base the RINO idiots promptly declared war on their base.

If it´s war they want, it´s war they shall have!

Excellent analysis which presents scathing facts of just how indifferent the Ultimate Goals of the GOPe and their Ideological Soul Mates the DemocRats. We have our own resident Gang of Tokyo Rove´s Rovettes who consistently Parrot the GOPe lines, who if you disagree with them excoriate, vilify, smear, ridicule and villainize we Constitutional Conservatives who choose to adhere to Principle no matter the cost. They and the GOPe are committed Social Progressive/Liberals determined to build America´s future on shifting the sands of Immoral Practice. If the Foundation is found soluble then the Fiscal House you build on it will eventually collapse. But Hey, we need to change the Party Principles to be more inline with those we seek to attract and who would never vote for a Republican. They have gotten their way the last two Presidential Elections and their Knight in shining armor was found to be wearing tin armor. Now they are ceding a 60 seat majority in the Senate to the DemocRats because they like the DemocRats, Despise Constitutional Conservatism with their every fiber of being. They will reap what they have sewn.

We all know the problem. The only question is what is the best way to resolve it and save the Republic. Of course, the party operatives and apologists simply want us to vote them the Senate. We all know how that will (not) work. A few of us are voices in the wilderness crying out for a new party.

Levin has his Liberty amendments, which I wholeheartedly support, but doubt can happen without a political party shepherding them through the state legislatures. Like conservative candidates, the national RepubliCrats will squash them as soon they appear on their radar as a serious threat. They control the state legislatures, too.

Some want to use extra-Constitutional measures. I would suggest that we exhaust the Constitutional ones first, before we "go there" and encounter the riots, suppression, and bloodshed that would ensue.

We should ramp up our approach until we find one that works. We have pretty much exhausted the ability to work through the existing big tent parties. MS has proved that. Let´s take the next step up the ladder.

I have advocated for a 3rd. party; however, I think the best course of action is to, as another Ldotter stated, burn the GOP down, and rebuild it from the ground up.

Tea Party members whom vote republican are being foolish. Even the old ´lesser than the two evils´ does not apply. I see NO discernable difference in the elephant, and the donkey parties.

Someone chided me for my commitment to vote for Michelle Nunn (D Georgia). Why would I vote for a party whose stated objective is to crush me, I replied.

Why even respond to them? The Republican Establishment and its lackeys support people calling you a racist and using democrat operatives to do their dirty work. Then they have the audacity to call you a traitor if you decide not to vote for their puppet.

Would you give a guy that slapped you in the face twenty bucks afterwards for the privilege?

If you refused, would then explain to that same person why you crushed his derby in a little dust up afterward?

The answer is obvious.

Why explain yourself?

They don´t deserve your time or effort.

The only thing they deserve is to be mocked and laughed at. Its great sport!

Got Tea?

GOP Establishment: Congress Should Give
"Blank Check" to Address Border Crisis
Breitbart Big Government, by Tony Lee    Original Article

While liberal activists keep pushing Democrats to make more concessions regarding the flood of illegal immigrant children across the border, GOP consultants in D.C. are suggesting that Republicans roll over and approve President Barack Obama´s request for $3.7 billion without any concessions. And they are doing so to liberal outlets like the Huffington Post. Since only $400 million of those funds would actually go to strengthen border security, Republicans have been wary of giving the Obama administration a "blank check" without getting some concessions, like having National Guard troops on the border or changing a 2008 law that

The DCCC, the campaign arm for Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, has raised $22 million more than the House GOP for the fall elections. That result is surprising enough, as Democrats´ minority status gives them little political leverage in the House. More surprising, though, is that Democrats have raised almost three times as much money, $46 million v. $17 million, as Republicans from small-dollar grass roots donors. The political landscape and recent polling would suggest the opposite situation.

Thad Cochran Replaces Campaign Manager

Sen. Thad Cochran´s campaign manager, Kirk Sims, has been replaced by his state director Brad Davis, according to a GOP source close to the campaign. The source, who has first-hand knowledge of the information from speaking to campaign officials, also said the campaign has retained the legal firm Butler Snow for unknown reasons. Sims, a former chief of staff to Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, leaves his campaign manager post having won a bitter primary fight against odds but also amid allegations of vote-buying and other improprieties that have engulfed the election´s outcome in acrimony.

Congress should not provide the Obama administration with any additional funding until it uses current resources to secure the border and confront illegal immigration, according to Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith. “This isn’t a funding problem, it’s an enforcement problem. Rather than enforce our nation’s immigration laws, the President has chosen to ignore them. Instead, he continues to call for massive amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants,” Smith said. Tuesday, President Obama submitted his emergency funding request to Congress – seeking $3.7 billion to deal with the ongoing influx of unaccompanied children and family units illegally entering the United States.

A terrible polling season just got humiliating for President Obama. On top of collapsing personal and job approval numbers, and a stunning loss in public confidence, a new Quinnipiac poll shows that the American people now see a president who rode into office on a wave of hope and change as the worst president since World War II. Adding insult to injury, in hindsight, only 38% of voters believe Obama is doing a better job than his 2012 Republican rival Mitt Romney would have. A plurality of 45% believe Romney would be doing a better job than Obama. When asked who the

This is not the first time the corrupt national GOP power structure and the Mississippi Republican Party have betrayed conservatism. By now, the deeply questionable practices of the Thad Cochran campaign and his apparatchiks in Mississippi are known to all. Mysterious robo-calls, unaccounted for mailings, street money, all designed to not just to defeat but ruin Chris McDaniel, because he had the temerity to take on the Establishment. The anti-conservative forces inside the GOP even engaged and paid Democratic consultants to help destroy the campaign of a fellow Republican.

Stars are aligning for a big Republican victory this November – solidifying and expanding the GOP’s majority in the House and perhaps gaining one in the Senate. This is a best-case scenario, and any majority in the Senate would be a slim one. But the importance of removing Harry Reid as majority leader cannot be overstated. That’s why Democrats will pull every dirty trick in their deep bag to hold the Senate, and sadly many Republicans will help them in that quest. President Obama will have two years left to wreak havoc on the country after the next election, but he can only throw stones into the river of time, not permanently change its

Republican Party elders have learned well from their political idol, Barack H. Obama. After observing the total lawlessness of President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder over the past five and half years, as both men ignored all checks and balances without consequence, ruling Republican elites have seen fit to adopted their strategy of overt lawlessness. Unburdened from ethics, state election laws, or voter accountability, national GOP party masters adopted and replicated Obama and Holder’s “best practices” in the deep red state of Mississippi.

The only reason liberalism survives is because there´s usually a good bit of lag between when a policy is being implemented and the time when the American people get to see the results. If Americans could somehow magically see what would happen in a decade or two after a liberal policy has passed, there would be no liberals left. Instead, back in the real world, liberals create or exacerbate disasters with their policies, blame everyone other than themselves, and then demand more government action to fix the problem they screwed up in the first place. Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´."
