Illegals Locked Up: Travis
County Sheriff says he
will enforce the law

Travis County Sheriff Greg Hamilton responds to the City of Austin and the fight over the “Secure Communities Program” Austin City Council members unanimously approved a resolution Thursday evening to cheers and thunderous applause that puts the city on record as opposing a controversial program aimed at helping federal agents identify jail inmates for possible deportation. The resolution, sponsored by Council Member Laura Morrison, also directs the city manager to “research options to minimize or completely replace” Austin’s use of the sheriff-run Central Booking Facility until Travis County ends its participation in the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Secure Communities program.

Comments:
Attached to this article is a 36 page PDF file, showing the crimes for which illegal immigrants are being held in the Travis County jail (Austin, TX). Included in the group -- multiple examples of murder, sexual assault of a child, 3rd (or more) DWI. Gosh, not a single jaywalking offense. The Austin liberals are fighting the program because it "breaks up families." You mean murder and raping a kid doesn´t break up a family?

University of Texas students should not be allowed to vote in Austin elections. Go vote at home. And the UT needs to tighten its entrance "standards" and quit accepting murderers to its law school and letting jocks teach engineering.

Unfortunately it isn´t just the college students voting...there are too many liberal weed smoking, utopia dream world freaks from California and New York that have taken over. There are droves of people from Hollyweird that have made Austin there 2nd home. Too many who are all about being greenie weenies, holding hands of the aforementioned child rapists and murders to sing kum ba yah and lament over how it isn´t their fault they are a product of their environment. They have ruined Austin, turned it into a place that if the fathers of the Republic of Texas were still alive a kicking...a butt whooping of biblical proportions would have taken place.

Before President Obama banished Sheriff Arpaio from the Secure Communities program, he led the nation in identifying illegals who had previously committed felonies and should be deported. These would be turned over to ICE for deportation when they finished their current sentence. I shudder to think how many were put in ICE detention centers and then released back onto the streets. There is no need to break up the family, give them bus fare and send them with their felon family member.

The House Ways and Means Committee released a letter Wednesday detailing what it believes to be criminal misconduct by Lois Lerner, the former IRS official at the center of the ongoing IRS Tea Party targeting scandal. For those who want to understand how partisan bureaucrats can manipulate a powerful federal agency, the letter is a must-read. The list of newly-disclosed acts of political bias and manipulation are astounding:

Months of speculation and weeks of intensifying rumors reached a crescendo Friday, as Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño resigned his post and aborted his decorated four-decade career in Texas law enforcement amid ongoing federal prosecutions of eight lawmen in addition to a former commander and Treviño’s youngest son. The move had been anticipated for weeks, but the fallout from the Hidalgo County’s highest-ranking lawman could still be significant. “The Sheriff’s Office is a very large department with many individuals and assets, hopefully they have the infrastructure in place to keep operations running smoothly

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say. In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

A crowd of 300 angry protestors forced three buses carrying 140 undocumented migrant children and their parents to turn around in Murrieta, California, on Tuesday after they blocked the road. The dramatic confrontation between the flag waving protestors and the Homeland Security buses came one day after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to resist the federal government´s plan to transfer the Central American migrants to California to ease overcrowding of facilities along the Texas-Mexico border. Holding up banners that said ´Return to Sender´ and suggesting the children should be sent to the White House instead, the irate protestors succeeded when the buses

The Israeli Air Force carried out what it called "precision strikes" on 34 "terror targets" in the Gaza Strip overnight, after the discovery of the bodies of three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped in the West Bank earlier this month. The Israeli Defense Forces said the strikes were in response to rockets being launched earlier into Israel from Gaza. The waves of rockets from Gaza and IDF retaliations have picked up since the teens were kidnapped and the Israeli crackdown began. Hamas has not claimed responsibility for launching the rockets but Israel holds them responsible for everything coming out of Gaza. The Israel Defense

WASHINGTON – Republicans see the November midterm elections as an opportunity to take the nation on a different path and call for a new conservative message focusing on the problems of regular Americans. During the latest convention of conservative activist Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition in Washington, D.C., Republicans confidently proclaimed that the GOP has an opportunity to turn back the past six years of President Obama’s administration in the midterm elections. “There’s only one thing to be done in 2014…and that is to take back America by taking back the Senate,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said

The photo drew attention after Jarrett´s "Meet the Press" interview Sunday — and Jarrett posted a tweet Tuesday afternoon assuring her supporters the display was simply a novelty item. "Don´t worry friends, it was a gag gift," Jarrett wrote, pivoting to some White House messaging about the economy. Two Texans may be vying for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016: Sen. Ted Cruz and Governor Rick Perry. Cruz overwhelmingly won the Texas GOP 2016 convention straw poll, confirming his position as the conservative grassroots candidate. He fires up crowds unlike any other politician today, and the power of motivating voters and volunteers should not be underestimated. But will he run in 2016? The signs point to yes. One of his staffers left his office to start a committee to draft him into running. He has visited the early states and spent many weekends during his first 18 months in office raising

The threat of them was an infuriating and exhilarating specter throughout the weekend, a symbol of the oppression facing the men’s rights activists who had gathered to meet for their inaugural conference. Early Friday before the opening session, a wispy trail of men — mostly white, college-through-retirement-age — waited for the doors to open outside of this Veterans of Foreign Wars outpost in suburban Detroit. One man talked about his ex-wife. A lot of guys talked about their ex-wives.

The Obama administration is not too concerned about possible Republican responses to its unilateral administrative actions on immigration. “What that they might sue?” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said laughing when asked Tuesday about possible Republican retaliation for the executive action. “They announced they were doing that last week,” he continued. “So, the prospect that Republicans might do even more to try to obstruct the president’s agenda I think is a little far-fetched. It seems to me they have tried every single thing they can think of already to block progress for this country so the fact that they
