IRS: Shame and Loathing
on the Media Trail

PJ Media, by Roger L. Simon

Original Article

A number of smart people, among them Peter Wehner, Mark Halperin and John Hinderaker, have been pointing out the unfortunately predictable silence of the mainstream media regarding the IRS scandal — not to mention the myriad other Obama scandals that we will soon be counting on three, or is it four, hands. The front page of Tuesday’s New York Times made no mention of the congressional hearings on the missing Lois Lerner emails and putative computer crash; the networks were a virtual silence of the not-so-lambs. (Remember how they obsessed on the Christie/GW Bridge contretemps as if it were the beginning

Another great one by Roger L. Simon. The reason the loathsome MSM cannot and will not tell the truth about Dear Leader Barack Hussein is because by doing so they´d expose themselves as foolish knaves and knavish fools. And they´ll do exactly the same cover-up routine with The Smart Woman.

The real reason these media folks cannot face reality is that to do so would mean to see their very persons, everything they have ever stood for...dissolving in a puddle like the Wicked Witch of the West.

Take any course(s) or read any books on worldview studies and the first thing you will learn about is the intransigence people have about their personal worldview. As Simon noted, the worst thing that can happen to a person is to learn that his worldview has been wrong his entire life. It´s equivalent to a hostile Atheist learning that God really does exist.

So the media are left in an untenable position. If you say Barack Obama is a mistake, then you yourself are a mistake. Who wants that?

Distilled down to its essence, admitting such a horrendous mistake is is a matter of pride, the worst of the vices: People are too proud to admit that they were so wrong for so long. It´s very human to have such pride, but at its core it is unbelievably destructive. Pride has been at the heart of almost every sin, every preventable tragedy, every crime. Dig deep enough into the darkness and you will find pride.

Americans have got to understand worldviews. If they do not, they will never find the right solutions to problems stemming from worldviews, especially when the proud see their worldview about to collapse.

No wonder they won’t investigate the scandals. No wonder they won’t report any of this. They are too ashamed of themselves to speak.

They hide their shame, their feelings of being had, but under it all their worldview is crashing down about them and their collective psyches are seriously damaged. That is why you will get more media hysteria about how bad Republicans and conservatives are rather than reading things like, "I hate to admit it, but I´ve been had."

We need to send members of the MSM a small bottle of acetate. The acetate will loosen the super glue that has their lips firmly locked onto the rear ends of obama and his democrats cohorts.

During this past 2 weeks I ran an unofficial experiment: If I´m watching Greta start at 70 p.m. I quickly flip over to MSNBC to see Matthews´ lead in. All but one time he was talking Chris Christie and the bridge thing. The one time he wasn´t was 2 nights ago and he said they were tackling it later in show. I usually see Greta´s intro 3 times a week, but it´s enough evidence to make me laugh.

Coverup for the Muslim in Chief.

There is no scandal until the media deems it so and they believe they alone hold the power to name wrongdoing. They are all in for the boy king and will allow no scandal to threaten him. They are so committed to protecting Obama that they can´t conceive he could do anything wrong. He is, after all, their messiah, the one they have been waiting for. Nothing he has done will ever be as bad as those mean old Republicans and racist Tea Party bigots. The country means nothing to them because they basically agree with Obama that it is fatally flawed and needs reigned in and they mean to help him do it. They have done nothing but enabled and encouraged him to destroy our very way of life. They are beyond reprehensible. They are traitors.

Loved this article. Was watching one of the FNC shows last night and I think it was Geraldo that tried to give the MSM cover for all its endless coverage of Bridgegate and none on the IRS...as that was so much more real to people. HUH? That is it in a nutshell... only these idiots in their own little world would think that the majority of us out here in flyover country are more concerned with some traffic issue on the GWB than exposing a corrupt IRS. They cant even lie well anymore.

Congratulations: Roger L does it again.
Finally, Roger, and Bill O´Reilly last night, are diatribing our socialist sick, in full denial, media. As the Hussein administration crimes fall into place, and the mass media maintains denial, an old Communist trick, denial, as all this criminality actually takes place and is exposed only on FoxNews, talk radio and the uncensored internet, we discover tha the NYTimesCBSABCNBCCNN cabal DENIES, it all, does not even give wounded vet whistleblowers proper space, much less the IRS scandal, Benghazi new truths, the FLOOD, wide open door at the border!.

The media is SICK, socialist SICK. Sharyl Atkisson exited CBS, press secretary boy Jay, quit his job, Jay Leno was fired at the peak of his anti administration career, and now the Queen of ALL High Ministry Censorship, Deception Propaganda, Diane Sawyer, is leaving her exalted post, "to be with family"..... She and Mike, her brilliant director husband, must have faced the truth and realized it´s all about to fall apart, GET OUT QUICK! Smart move. Like
Mafia Lois Lerner being "retired", the IRS head "retiring".

Now is the time for all the Rush, Glenn, Sean, Ann, Bills, to stop calling these criminals the good name of "liberal" and get the guts to at least call them collectivists or socialists, and yes, maybe a few Mark Levins will dare to call them what they ARE, Communists. They don´t have to belong to the American Communist Party, to follow the Party Line !

It´s time Our New Breitbartian Drudge Press, started name calling their own fellow union member press, break out of the union prison, and insult these criminals for the damage they do covering up for all of Washington crime.

Roger L and Bill have started the ball rolling !

Wow! Very important piece. Unfortunately, it´s like a fa... whisper in a hurricane. What some call the MSM is just a part of the Washington Establishment. An important part but just a part, nonetheless.

The Washington Establishment has the rest of us by the throat and they are never, never going to willingly release their grip. They have the power and all it´s perks and they like it that way. DC and it´s environs is a boom town while the rest of the Country sinks not so slowly into poverty.

If you want an example of how strong they are and, conversely, how weak we are, just look at the Mississippi primary. Non- Establishment America doesn´t even have the power to remove a doddering old tool that should have been gone many, many years ago.

How could this happen? It happened because they turned-out lowfos of the opposing party, Dems, to vote for Cochran. Yep, that´s right, the Dems, in heavily Black districts, saved Cochran´s bacon.

Wait! That´s just crazy! Dems voting in a Republican primary? You mean to tell me that Republicans can´t even chose their own candidates? Yep, that´s what I mean to tell you.

Just another small example of how they easily keep their power without even breaking a sweat.

No, no, no. That is a recipe for censorship. The problem is not that they tell lies - it is that they hide any truth that they don´t like, which is still an effective way to manage what many less technically savvy Americans know. I wonder why no UK paper has figured out that there is a huge market in the US for traditional media that isn´t a party organ for the Rats?

The non-journalists in the Old Media believe in a fairy tale. They are convinced that when America becomes whatever they believe it must become, they will be part of the elite.

Investigative reporting is, indeed, dead in their case. They have no interest in the truth, unless it favors their world view. They sit behind their laptops and smart phones, feed off each other and politicians who supply them with fodder for their stories, and write stories to support their own beliefs.

No more shoe leather used to get the real stories. No more interaction with the man on the street. The cyber revolution makes it easy to live in a make-believe world.

All this ranting and raving, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments is a waste of energy and bandwidth. The Old Media does not care about our opinions (and I refuse to call this sack of vipers ´mainstream´ because somehow the word has a clean, honest mid-American sound to it) and nothing we say or do will have any influence on them. Impaled on their own polls, yet they either cannot or will not acknowledge what is happening. American distrust in the OM was at better than 60% two years ago. What is the number now?

There is only one force which will bring them down and it is already at work. One after another, the Old Media publications shrink or vanish completely, taking the jobs of reporters with them. It is amazing to anyone with a jot of common sense that they proudly see their ship positioned with it´s bow high above the water, the arrogant chin-in-the-air posture of Lerner and Obama, without understanding that it is the final hurrah before slipping beneath the waves forever.

It is not just pride that keeps these reporters from speaking the truth, but the rock-hard fact that owning up would cost them the jobs that are already precarious at best.

Great article.

This personal association with ideology extends beyond the media. It is a hallmark of liberals in general. It is their raison d´etre. Liberals deny the lessons of history and are not bound by their own mistakes. What gives them this right? Their goodness of course. They are superior beings with superior intent and superior wisdom. By gosh, they are just superior in all aspects so whatever they want to do is obviously right.

BO was a God! He was their God. He was the embodiment of their secular religion made manifest as president.

But now ... BO´s failure is public and spectacular. He cannot find a safe harbor anywhere. The economy is in shambles, the deficit is crippling, his foreign policy has emboldened the crazies of the world, his energy policies are artificially raising prices and making even most of his supporters angry. Health care has crashed and burned even though the full extent of the disaster is being hidden. His "fairness" policies have resulted in even wider schisms between people as opportunity for the middle class has evaporated. Blacks, Hispanics, youth, and women, his people, bear the brunt of his "help".

You have to ask yourself, SURELY he could have accomplished SOMETHING by now!! He had two years of unfettered control. He has spawned executive orders with abandon. Things ARE being done, but the outcomes are all BAD! Only the most deluded can deny that it is the policies that are at fault. The policies that the left wanted BO to execute. Their GOOD policies, because they are superior and GOOD people.

Maybe, just possibly their policies are not so great after all. Simon is right. The media cannot possibly admit that. The public can at least claim that they were mislead by the media.

But the media....they mislead themselves and brought ruin on us all.

"He was their projection. Barack Obama is the creation of the New York Times, et al. Without them he would never have happened and they know it."
I grew up in Masssachusetts...and vividly remember the "Camelot" BS. It was the same thing...a media creation that simply glossed over the outright criminal acts of the old man and the total disfunction of the Kennedy clan as a whole. But it made good copy, and those who thought they possessed superior intellect ate it up. Same thing with Obama...a lazy, dope smoking Affirmative Action slacker who never achieved anything of substance, hitching a ride on the coattails of his race throughout his entire life. But the media dug in their heels and promoted his bulloney like it was the product of absolute genius...the majority of the voters bought it, and we´re all now paying the price. But, unfortunately, it´s the next generation or 2 that´s gonna be stuck with the real bill.

The "Old Media", like all leftwing excrescences, must have their Useful Idiots:

The readers, viewers, pundits, reporters, all raised in a so-called educational system which has rendered them all (with few exceptions) unable to exercise critical thinking.

Were we blessed with a more enlightened citizenry, intellectually curious, endowed with Common Sense, these robotic shallow-minded media people would have been laughed off the public stage a long time ago... with like-"minded" Hollywood dolts in tow.

It is pretty darned shameful, pathetic, nauseating that they have put the shackles on their ankles and bent over for the Leftwing Democrats.

We might laugh a tiny bit. And then weep for our Republic.

But never give up. We must never give up.

St. Claire Shores, MI -The feminists hadn’t shown up yet, but they could, at any moment, with their protest signs and screaming. The threat of them was an infuriating and exhilarating specter throughout the weekend, a symbol of the oppression facing the men’s rights activists who had gathered to meet for their inaugural conference. Early Friday before the opening session, a wispy trail of men — mostly white, college-through-retirement-age — waited for the doors to open outside of this Veterans of Foreign Wars outpost in suburban Detroit. One man talked about his ex-wife. A lot of guys talked about their ex-wives.

President Obama is weighing executive actions after the Supreme Court ruled against ObamaCare’s contraception mandate. The White House swiftly called on Congress to enact a legislative fix but realistically knows lawmakers aren’t about to act. Today, the Supreme Court ruled in the nationally followed Hobby Lobby case. The for-profit corporations that brought these cases to the Supreme Court—a craft store and a cabinet manufacturer—argued that the corporations’ religious convictions should excuse them from compensating their employees through the comprehensive health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers sought to exclude insurance coverage of several forms of birth control because, contrary to medical and scientific evidence, the corporations’ owners believe some birth control causes abortions. The Affordable Care Act already includes special arrangements for houses of worship and religious non-profits, like schools and hospitals. Houses

One week after traveling to Mississippi to do his utmost to help Senator Thad Cochran (R) beat Tea Party rival Chris McDaniel, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) talked about the strengths he saw in Cochran´s approach to campaigning. According to AZ Central, McCain dismissed criticism over the tactics the Republican Establishment used to get black Democrats to cross over and vote for Cochran. Said McCain, "There are some people complaining that African-American voters voted. [But] I thought one of the major priorities of the Republican Party was to get all minority and ethnic voters out to vote for Republicans." He described Cochran´s "get-out-the-vote campaign"

The Israeli Air Force carried out what it called "precision strikes" on 34 "terror targets" in the Gaza Strip overnight, after the discovery of the bodies of three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped in the West Bank earlier this month. The Israeli Defense Forces said the strikes were in response to rockets being launched earlier into Israel from Gaza. The waves of rockets from Gaza and IDF retaliations have picked up since the teens were kidnapped and the Israeli crackdown began. Hamas has not claimed responsibility for launching the rockets but Israel holds them responsible for everything coming out of Gaza. The Israel Defense

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama had a bit of a weird moment at the White House tonight during an LGBT reception when the president praised the exquisite work of the White House Executive Pastry Chef and joked if he puts crack in them. A crack joke at the White House. Bet you never saw that coming. The Obamas said they were sad to see Bill Yosses leave the White House. The president said, “His pies––I don’t know what he does, whether he puts crack in them––but…” The first lady quickly jumped in to clarify that no, “there is no crack in our

The White House says "the constitutional lawyer in the Oval Office disagrees" with the Supreme Court´s decision today on the contraceptive mandate in Obamacare: Well, as the constitutional lawyer who sits in the Oval Office would tell you is, he would read the entire decision before he passed judgment in terms of his own legal analysis. What we have been able to assess so far ... is that there is a problem that has been exposed, which is that there are now a group of women of an indeterminate size who no longer have access to free contraceptive coverage simply

Sasha Obama turned 13 earlier this month, and it seems her father is making every effort to ensure they stay close throughout her teenage years. The President and his younger daughter were pictured on Sunday enjoying a hike at Great Falls Park in McLean, Virginia, with Obama lovingly put an arm around her as they walked through the woods. Meanwhile, Malia - whose 16th birthday is on July 4th - spent the day at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where she and a friend were given VIP access to many of the park´s rides. For their father-daughter hike, Sasha wore a yellow top and

Despite appalling conditions in the holding pens and warehouses that are now full of Central American children, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said she was "dazzled" by what she saw at the U.S.-Mexico border on Saturday: "What we just saw was so stunning, if you believe as we do, that every child, every person, has the park of divinity in them, and is therefore worthy of respect, what we saw in those rooms was (a) dazzling, sparkling array of God´s children, worthy of respect." Speaking in Brownsville, Texas, Pelosi used the word "crisis," but then backed off a bit: "So we have to

President Barack Obama announced today that he would again go around Congress to enact immigration reform measures. In a hastily scheduled statement this afternoon from the White House Rose Garden, Obama said he would ´greatly prefer´ Congress passing any sort of immigration reform legislation, even if it wasn´t the bill he supports, but he was done sitting around waiting for that to happen. The president said his administration would ´refocus´ its efforts on the border, and he would use his ´existing legal authority´ to do ´what Congress refuses to do´ and fix the broken immigration system. The President said he
