Washington Post, by Ed O’Keefe & Greg Jaffe

Original Article

Posted By:ElSid, 6/25/2014 2:36:46 PM

Two senior Veterans Affairs Department officials will be stepping down this week as a personnel overhaul continues in the wake of the resignation of former VA secretary Eric K. Shinseki. Will Gunn, who has served as VA general counsel since 2009, will be stepping down from a job he’s held since the start of the Obama administration. And Robert Jesse, currently the acting undersecretary for the Veterans Health Administration, will be stepping down and rejoining the department’s medical ranks. The forthcoming changes are according to two people familiar with the shakeup who were not authorized to speak publicly about them.

Comments:
Hopefully, it´s not too late to remove the cancerous management growths within the VA system.

Beirut - Fears continue to spread in Lebanon about the presence of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) after the Sunni militant group claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on a central Beirut hotel, the third such attack in two weeks. The militant group has expanded its operations in both Syria and Iraq, giving rise to fears that it could also seek to start an insurgency against the Lebanese government at a time when the country still has no president. In a statement published on Friday, ISIS announced that a Saudi suicide bomber had attacked the Duroy Hotel in central Beirut. Three police officers were wounded in the attack.

A California man decided to turn the fear that drones will be abused by law enforcement officials on its head by using the technology to monitor police behavior. “I don’t think it’s a substitute for a hand-held camera, but it’s definitely a complement,” Daniel Saulmon of Torrance told the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Saulmon said he has been filming police behavior with the technology for a month, typically monitoring DUI checkpoints to make sure police aren’t abusing their power. He added that he is careful not to run afoul of any laws while filming. “I have to use common sense with it,” Saulmon said. “It’s easy to fly.

This past week, Fox News, Megyn Kelly, and Dinesh D’Souza gave a platform to an entity that hates America and our way of life. Seems the prospect of smokin’ out a snake like Bill Ayers was too good to pass up. Getting an exclusive one-on-one with a crazy, violent communist with a small c was quite a coup for Kelly and D’Souza...or was it? Since lying and deceit generally benefit the liar, we have to ask, ”What was in it for Bill Ayers?” A mea culpa for past crimes? Hardly. After listening to Ayers, we must conclude: once a psychopath, always a psychopath.

His disdain for congressional Republicans has steadily increased; his disrespect for their tactics has hardened into contempt.
