The Flier That Got Thad Cochran Elected?
National Review Online, by John Fund

Original Article

It’s generally agreed that Thad Cochran squeaked out a win in Mississippi last night in part by getting Democrats, especially African Americans, to turn out. Here’s a flier that was distributed in heavily black precincts suggesting how he accomplished this: (Photo of Flier)

Mississippi conservatives need to teach the Republican Elite a lesson and vote third party.

Potentially losing a safe seat is a hard thing to swallow, but needs to be done to keep the RINOS (who are worse than Democrats) in check.

That flyer is disgusting but it doesn´t sound like anything a conservative OR a Republican would say or do.

Is it conspiratorial to think that Democrats who didn´t want the tea party guy to win might have circulated that flyer?

Has Cochran´s team said they are the ones who circulated that flyer? If they don´t deny it, then this doesn´t make Republicans of any stripe look good.

This primary has brought about a sickeningly disgusting revelation and confirmation about the lack of principle in some within the Republican Party.

How can decent people justify compromising their principles to support things in Republicans that they would never support in Democrats?

How do conservatives help themselves by handing the power in Washington DC to those who have sworn to "crush" them (while "working with" leftists), and have shown they are willing to use any means to do it?

If they have sworn to be the enemy, doesn´t the battle become going through them to defeat Dems?

Mexico City - Luxury car maker BMW revealed a $1 billion Mexican plant investment on Thursday, becoming the latest in a line of major automakers to take advantage of the country´s growing industrial base and tariff-free access to the U.S. market. BMW outlined plans to build a factory near San Luis Potosi, central Mexico, in a move that will reduce the German company´s dependence on higher-cost plants at home. The plant will begin assembling unspecified models in 2019 with an initial workforce of 1,500 and annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, the company said. "Mexico is an ideal location for

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has announced the good news from the June jobs report. The American economy created 288,000 jobs and the jobless rate fell to 6.1 percent. It is important to note that the labor participation rate remained steady, which means the fall in the jobless rate was caused by new jobs and fewer layoffs, not workers dropping out of the labor force. Note: The latest Gallup poll on jobs this week showed improvement, and the ADP jobs report released this week also showed improvement on jobs. Many of you probably watched portions, if not all of, Megyn Kelly’s interviews with Bill Ayers, the unrepentant domestic terrorist of yesteryear. Kelly did her usual excellent job of pressing Ayers on his violent past. But Stanley Kurtz wishes she had pressed Ayers more about his relationship with Barack Obama. For, as Kurtz points out, Ayers and Obama had a much tighter political alliance than Ayers admitted to on Kelly’s show. Kelly focused on Ayers’ fundraiser for Obama’s first political campaign, rather than their time together on several left-leaning Chicago foundation boards. This is understandable — anyone can sit beside

For years, Americans have been harangued with the “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act” school lunch program. Under the auspices of Barack Obama’s wife’s concerns about child wellness, the federal government has rigorously limited food choices in public school cafeterias. Promoting and preserving good health has become so fundamental to American culture it now justifies stringent bureaucratic oversight to ensure that schoolchildren no longer participate in things like traditional in-classroom birthday and holiday celebrations. What’s odd is that the same supposedly über-concerned government attempting to prod America’s children toward making better food choices are also undermining their long-term health by cooperating with
