Foreign Affairs Members ‘Concerned’
After First Briefing on Iran Nuke Talks

After multiple requests to the Obama administration, the House Foreign Affairs Committee was briefed behind closed doors for the first time on the Iran nuclear negotiations. The deadline for a final agreement between the P5+1 and the Islamic Republic is July 20 — less than a month away. “The Obama administration must better inform and engage Congress on these critical negotiations, particularly as only Congress can provide any permanent sanctions relief, should an agreement be reached,” committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) said after the briefing, adding that it was “disappointing” the administration felt the need to keep it from open session. “It is

Comments:
Here is yet another example that Obama and his regime will not tell congress what he is doing. We are long past the tipping point in his illegal behavior. I still can´t believe they are even negotiating with these lying terrorists. Oh that´s right.....

O’Reilly: Right-Wing Radio Hosts
Were Right About Obama All Along
Mediaite, by Josh Feldman    Original Article

ll O’Reilly opened his show tonight asking a big question: “were the conservative radio talk show hosts correct about President Obama from the beginning?” And based on issues of competency that have arisen time and again under the current president, O’Reilly concluded that it looks like they were right all along. O’Reilly said Obama, “the most liberal president in history,” has proved some of what right-wing radio hosts were saying about his administration’s competency all along, including the criticism about his lack of any executive experience before becoming president. O’Reilly cited the VA scandal in particular as an example of “an administration

President Obama and Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) don’t agree on much, but their mutual love of golf brought the pair together Tuesday for a ceremony at the White House. Obama hailed Boehner and Vice President Biden as "two of my favorite golf partners," while conceding that "in each instance, they have to give me strokes." He also said of Boehner that while some Republicans knock the frequency with which he hits the links, golfing was "the only thing he doesn´t criticize me about." Obama has played more than 170 rounds of golf during his presidency, and spoken about how he appreciates the

Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s media tour showed no signs of slowing Tuesday with appearances on The Rush Limbaugh Show and now Hugh Hewitt’s radio show. On the latter, Cheney said he believes there will be another major terrorist attack on the homeland before the end of the decade, this one “far deadlier” than 9/11. Asked by Hewitt if he thinks we can “get through this decade without a massive attack on the homeland,” Cheney answered, “I doubt it.” “I think there will be another attack and this time I think it’s likely to be far deadlier than the last one,” he added. From there, Cheney began to fantasize about “what would happen if

Older women bear the brunt of higher

It’s hard for an ordinary person to figure out whether health insurance will be more expensive under the Affordable Care Act. First of all, figures that look good “on average,” often mask extremely wide differences across age groups. Secondly, it’s hard to find pre-ACA policies that are comparable to the policies available post-ACA. (Snip) These differences are shown by two recent reports with sharply different implications. The government’s report shows that federal tax credits make health insurance premiums more affordable for everyone. The academics’ report, however, shows that women age 55 to 64 will face a huge spike in cost

Speaker John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, told Republicans Tuesday he could have an announcement within days on whether the House will file a lawsuit against President Barack Obama, challenging the executive actions that have become the keystone of the administration. The lawsuit could set up a significant test of constitutional checks and balances, with the legislative branch suing the executive branch for ignoring its mandates, and the judiciary branch deciding the outcome. Boehner told the House Republican Conference during a closed-door meeting Tuesday morning that he has been consulting with legal scholars and plans to unveil his next

President Barack Obama and his most famous golf partner — Tiger Woods — are getting together again, but off the green this time. Woods was expected at a White House ceremony Tuesday honoring the 2013 Presidents Cup team. Woods led a team of American players to a fifth-straight Presidents Cup win last October against a team of international golfers. Besides Woods, Phil Mickelson and team captain Fred Couples are among the American golfers expected at the White House. Ernie Els is among the group of international team members who are attending. From the Middle East to Russia, and from Africa to Asia, the bloody tide of jihad is rising as increasingly fragmented terror groups battle governments and each other for power and property. Daily reports of the terror group Islamic States of Iraq and Syria/Levant, or ISIS, advancing toward a caliphate in Iraq have supplanted equally horrific news from Nigeria, where Boko Haram slaughtered schoolboys and kidnapped girls to sell into slavery. All the while, terror attacks in the name of Islam have continued in China, where members of the Islamic sect known as Uighurs are suspected of mass stabbing attacks, and

President Obama is under fire for aggressively using executive orders to provide amnesty to illegal alien minors and enact other liberal policies, but Department of Homeland Secretary Jeh Johnson indicated in a Tuesday hearing he understands in principle that Congress writes the laws, not Obama. “Last time I looked an executive order can’t supersede the law,” Johnson said. Johnson made his remarks during a Congressional hearing on the current crisis of unaccompanied minors crossing the southern border. Rep. The U.S. intelligence community provided "multiple strategic warnings" since the beginning of the year about the strength of Sunni militants in Iraq, a senior intelligence official said Tuesday -- a claim that challenges assertions by top administration officials that they were caught off guard by the capture of key Iraqi cities. Earlier Tuesday, in an interview with Fox News, Secretary of State John Kerry said "nobody expected" Iraqi security forces to be decisively driven out by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, as they were earlier this month in Mosul. But in a separate briefing with reporters Tuesday afternoon,

The emails, covering the period January 2009 to April 2011, belonged to embattled former official Lois Lerner and could shed light on whether an expansive scheme to single out conservative groups for special scrutiny was guided by members of Congress or administration officials outside the IRS. ´The committee requested all of Lois Lerner’s emails over a year ago,´ said House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T,” the song goes. It is easy enough to spell, but for some vocal critics of President Barack Obama, it seems exceedingly hard to do. As the president moves toward the land of the lame ducks, his political enemies are calling for blood. That’s no shocker at this stage of a presidency. In this case, the cuts go deeper. For some, it is not enough to disagree. Some high-status public figures seem determined to demean, denigrate and ridicule the president of the United States. On June 12 the Speaker of the U.S. House stepped to a podium and insulted Obama for his handling of

Noted management expert and Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen was apparently called out of retirement — like the Ted Williams of evasive, unapologetic bureaucrats — to destroy what is left of his agency’s credibility. At immediate issue is two years of subpoenaed e-mails from former IRS official Lois Lerner to outside agencies, lost in a convenient computer crash. The possible involvement of other agencies is one focus of a congressional investigation into the heightened IRS scrutiny of conservative nonprofit groups before the 2012 election. In recent congressional testimony, Koskinen admitted that the e-mails

There are times that I have senior moments and forget certain names and events but after the recent Obama Iraq war implosion, I´m convinced most political pundits are suffering from them as well. What is unusual is that this revision of history is being committed by conservatives who should know better. Recent commentary by Glenn Beck, George Will and Charles Krauthammer indicate that they have significant memory lapses about why we went to war in Iraq. They now suggest that it was a wrong decision whereas my complaint is that we took too long to invade and oust Saddam Hussein.

Women vote Democrat because they are smarter, Obama said to a White House audience Monday afternoon. He made the remark at the end of a talk at the White House Summit on Working Families. “Somebody asked: ‘Well, it’s well-known that women are more likely to vote for Democrats,’ to which I said, women are smarter,” Obama said. “This is true.” The rest of Obama’s talk centered on paid maternity leave, a minimum wage of $10.10, flexibility in the workplace, and access to childcare. He blamed Congress for moving slowly after he asked it to raise the minimum wage and when

US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Iraq´s capital, Baghdad as Sunni insurgents expand their control of towns across north-western Iraq. In Egypt on Sunday, Mr Kerry warned that Sunni militants Isis´ "ideology of violence and repression is a threat not only to Iraq but to the entire region". On Sunday rebels--spearheaded by Isis militants--captured border crossings to Syria and Jordan. The strategically important airport in the northern Tal Afar has also fallen. The town controls the main road from the Syrian border to Mosul, Iraq´s second biggest city, which was captured by the rebels two weeks ago.

In this case, the bear in question is President Barack Obama, who has lately been comparing his yearnings to escape the White House security bubble to an animal breaking free from his cage. On Monday, Obama rounded up a few participants at a White House working families summit for a short walk to a local Chipotle restaurant, where they swapped stories while enjoying the fast-food
