Bill Clinton defends family wealth,
says Hillary ´not out of touch´

Los Angeles Times, by Mark Z. Barabak

Former President Bill Clinton on Tuesday defended his wife’s modest depiction of the couple’s wealth, saying their affluence does not mean Hillary Rodham Clinton is out of touch with the concerns of average Americans. Speaking in Denver at an annual meeting of his philanthropic organization, Clinton said his wife was correct to state they were “dead broke” when the couple left the White House in 2000. “We were several million dollars in debt,” Clinton said, as Hillary Clinton and their daughter, Chelsea, looked on. The family’s wealth, which has grown enormously since the end of Clinton’s presidency, has become a political

That is what is wrong with our entire economy. Idiots like the Clintons are in charge. If they were broke, why did they spend millions on houses and Chelsea´s education? Why not let her go to college on a scholarship like other smart or talented young people. Maybe she wasn´t so smart or talented. Why does Hillary have to keep running to Bill to find out what to do? She sounds less and less competent to be the Leader of the Free World.

No, it´s not her wealth. It is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. She is out of touch with the concerns of average Americans because of her sociopathology. Neither of them could care less about others. It is all about them; but as politicians, they have to fake empathy and sincerity.

Latino electorate at a crossroads

By every account Republicans face a huge disadvantage in comparison to Democrats with the Latino electorate. But a long-term engagement and outreach effort promises to make all the difference, a difference in which Democrats have more to lose and Republicans have much to gain. Even the most novice political observer can see that years of work in Latino communities have paid off for Democrats. Indeed, the party has in some ways enjoyed an open field, and decades of political outreach, presence in the communities and positive brand building around liberal ideas have allowed the party to build a formidable front

(Video) In May, San Francisco introduced the "Hook-up Truck," providing intimate space for couples on the go. Now, the city is welcoming the "Lava Mae," a public shower on a bus, aimed at the city´s large homeless population. San Francisco has been fighting a losing battle with homelessness for decades. City officials concede that they have made little progress over the years despite massive spending, amounting to $34 per homeless person per day. The founders of Lava Mae, which launched late last week, aim to provide direct relief--and dignity--to the homeless, providing showers installed inside converted municipal buses that will

GREENWELL SPRINGS, La. — Rebekah and Kevin Nelams moved to their modest brick home in this suburb of Baton Rouge seven years ago because it has one of the top-performing public school districts in the state. But starting this fall, Ms. Nelams plans to home-school the couple’s four elementary-age children. The main reason: the methods that are being used for teaching math under the Common Core, a set of academic standards adopted by more than 40 states. Ms. Nelams said she did not recognize the approaches her children, ages 7 to 10, were being asked to use on math work sheets.

Sweeping Illinois election law changes likely to be in place this fall mean it´ll be easier to register, vote while away at college and cast an early ballot. Democrats say the relaxed rules will allow more people to exercise a basic democratic right, but Republicans are leery the moves are aimed at pumping up the Democratic vote in what has been a decidedly blue state. ATLANTIC CITY - The blows came fast and furious for this struggling resort over the last week and a half. For one week in January 2012, data scientists skewed what almost 700,000 Facebook users saw when they logged into its service. Some people were shown content with a preponderance of happy and positive words; some were shown content analyzed as sadder than average.

Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken and weary.

The Keystone Pipeline project was expected to create tens of thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. And the pipeline would bring oil from Canada and North Dakota to refineries in the United States. The proposed project would have extended from Alberta, Canada to Illinois, transporting approximately 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Estimated cost is $1.7 billion. But Obama rejected the plan in 2011 and 2014. Democrats are beholden to the radical green movement – the poor and middle class be damned. Now this… Canada pulled the plug on Keystone and will

As thousands of disease-riddled criminals storm across our borders, is it really time to mince words? President Obama appears to have an Agenda for America that stinks worse than a Border Patrol bus depot crammed with urine-drenched illegals. Is the man trying to protect and defend us, or does he want us to kick the bucket, run down the curtain, and join the choir invisible? On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.
