Central America Leaders
Browbeat U.S. On Immigration

Investor´s Business Daily, by Editorial

Emigration: Central American leaders have taken to lecturing the U.S. on the care and feeding of the tens of thousands of their emigrants who have suddenly flooded our southern border. Have they no shame? Apparently they don´t, though the Spanish language has a very strong word — sinverguenza — for such gall. Start with Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernandez. After 37,049 of his countrymen were repatriated by the U.S. after fleeing in 2013, he told Fusion: "I´ve asked the United States government to treat this matter with the utmost care from a humanitarian perspective. They are kids in search of their parents,

If you want to come here to work hard and succeed, we´d love to have you. If you want to come here for the free stuff, you´re not welcome.

If the US President really wanted to stop this mass illegal migration of young Central Americans he would call in the ambassadors from those banana republics and tell them to proceed with their staffs to the detention centers where the young citizens from their countries are being held and to arrange air transportation for them to be immediately returned to their home countries. If they object he must tell them that no further US visas will be issued to their citizens until the out of control situation on the US border and the mass illegal migration is halted.

Omaha will not do that, as he is going around the Congress and the immigration laws to grant what amounts to a de-facto amnesty to unlimited numbers of young illegal aliens since the Congress has refused, so far, to pass a massive liberal Democrat amnesty, that provides that the close foreign relatives of all the illegal aliens granted amnesty be allowed to enter the USA in unlimited numbers. Then there would be nothing to keep an additional 20 million aliens from entering the USA. That´s what this is all about, plus the Democrats consider all those poor and uneducated illegal aliens to be prospective Democrat voters.

An IRS employee was suspended for 100 days for using his job at the agency’s help line to try to convince callers to vote for President Obama, a government watchdog agency announced Thursday. The employee, whose name wasn’t mentioned in the announcement from the Office of Special Counsel, admitted to using his job for political purposes and agreed to the settlement that involved a 100-day suspension. “OSC’s complaint alleged that, when fielding taxpayers’ questions on an IRS customer service help line, the employee repeatedly urged taxpayers to re-elect President Obama in 2012 by delivering a chant based on the spelling of the

The Chilean government released a report about two high-quality photos it believes could indicate a close encounter. The particular incident under investigation occurred at the remote Collahuasi copper mine in Chile’s Atacama Desert back in April 2013, when four technicians working at the mine witnessed a disc-shaped object approach the area slowly, hover for about an hour over the mine before finally heading off to the east. The Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (known by its Spanish acronym, CEFAA), is responsible for investigating any unexplained aerial phenomena within Chilean air space.

Brazilians cried, cursed their president and covered their faces in shame after their beloved football team´s humiliating 7-1 thrashing by Germany in the World Cup semi-finals Tuesday. President Dilma Rousseff twitted how sad she was with defeat but called on Brazilians “we won´t let ourselves stay down”. After the fifth goal, well before half-time, hundreds of people left their expensive seats at the stadium in the southeastern city of Belo Horizonte. A section of the crowd chanted obscenities against the players and President Dilma Rousseff, who during the cup had mostly enjoyed a reprieve from protests over the record 11 billion

Actor George Clooney had harsh words for Britain’s Daily Mail in a searing essay penned for USA Today that the paper published on its Web site Wednesday morning. At issue was a recent article in which the British newspaper said that the mother of Clooney’s betrothed, Amal Alamuddin, was against their upcoming marriage because Clooney is not Druze, a small Middle-Eastern religion with communities in Lebanon and Syria. Alamuddin is a British-Lebanese human rights barrister in London. The Daily Mail, citing “close family friends,” reported Alamuddin’s mother, Baria, wanted her to marry someone Druze.

Parliamentarians from across the aisle submitted a draft constitutional reform on Thursday, requesting that the length of presidential terms be extended to six years, arguing that the current term — four years without the possibility of re-election — is not long enough to deliver a major presidential program. Should the reform ultimately succeed, it would represent the fifth time in Chile’s history that a constitutional reform has altered the length of a presidential term. “A period of four years is not enough to manage and develop large projects,” Socialist Party (PS) Dep. Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

President Obama’s ultimate weakness may be that he believes his own blarney. A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it. But three-dozen organizations representing newspapermen and other journalists, mostly liberals, beg to differ. In a testy letter to the president on Tuesday, the group decried the “slick non-answers” and cold shoulders they’re getting from Mr. Obama’s representatives, who have restricted access to any information they consider embarrassing to the administration. “The stifling of free expression,” the signers
