Monday night at a evening congressional hearing on the Internal Revenue Service claims that Lois Lerner´s email´s were lost due to a computer crash, Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) confronted agency commissioner John Koskinen over whether he had contacted the FBI since he claimed he "can not say no crime was committed," and that Lerner had pleaded the Fifth Amendment "to avoid criminal prosecution." Turner grilled Koskinen demanding to know why the FBI has not be contacted asking, "Will you call the FBI, integrity of your agency is absolutely at stake?" Turner went on to stress that Koskinen should responsibly handle

I watched the exchange(s) and he and Gordon were excellent "interrogators" and Koskinen just sat there like a stuffed pig, with a sneer on his face. Those two Repubs. really are fed up with the lack of information this so-called director of the IRS is unwilling to admit to. So this is what the American people fear, a corrupt, evil organization run by the Democrat party! Get rid of the IRS!

The investigation has been hotly ongoing for more than a year. Going back to the root of the issue, any time the IRS has not acted on the request for tax exempt status within the statutory time limit there must be a report. That triggers a follow up report on a regular basis until a decision is made. Right leaning groups in the thousands have been stalled for a couple of years. Do a computer search of the reports and build a count of times the agent, the first round supervisor, the second round supervisor, and the third round supervisor is named. Then subpoena each one whose name appears more than 50 times. Why didn´t you act? If you were told not to act, who gave you that order? The purpose is two fold, to find the big violators and to establish the basis for a civil suit.

The IRS is organized as a non-partisan agency of the government. So I have a question for those who are tired of this whole matter. The IRS has not given complete answers and have danced around the facts. I´m sure Koskinnen has purposely not learned all the facts so that he doesn´t have to lie. The question: The republicans are looking for answers/explanations and get testy at times but why don´t the democrats want to get to the bottom of this? It seems they believe they are being personally attacked by the republicans for something the IRS did. Of course, it´s all George Bush´s fault. I watched enough tonight to see that the democrats don´t want the truth to be revealed and I´m beginning to realize they either know or are afraid that it leads to the top dog.

Issa is doing everything he is empowered to do under the Constitution. The Democrats are well aware that this corruption reaches all the way to the White House so under the Rules of Liberalism they are obligated to cover that up. Unfortunately for them, any attempt they make to turn the Republicans into the Bad Guys over this will backfire.

Douglas Shulman is the one who should testify under oath about the lost emails and destruction of the hard drives. He has been touted as a computer wizard who pushed for more and more taxpayer information be assembled by the IRS so that the IRS could prepare your return for your review, and then the return could be accepted and filed. His knowledge and time as Commissioner makes him the best source for determining IRS policy and how the policies were carried out. And whether it was IRS policy or direction from Treasury to act in an ongoing illegal manner. He did make many, many visits to the White House, including at least one Easter egg roll.

I am more than happy with the course this investigation has taken over the last 410 days.

Most ordinary citizen´s eyes glazed over a year ago last Spring when it was all about ridiculous and invasive document requests made of organizations seeking not for profit status. They became a bit more interested when Lois Lerner took the Fifth. The "lost" e-mails piqued interest even further because we all know just how well that excuse works when dealing with the IRS as taxpayers. Now during the summer news doldrums Americans have been offered a truly slimy villain in the arrogant stonewalling IRS commissioner. He not only looks like he could be in a Bond movie, the name Koskinen even has a Bond villain vibe to it.

The only solution to this problem is to destroy the IRS by totally defunding them and starting over. Along the way I would offer a reward to IRS employees who squeal on the criminals inside the organization and who can offer proof of wrong doing.

Other than that, where are the hearings on the mass invasion of illegals from Mexico. Illegal immigration is the hot election topic today. Ask Eric Cantor about that problem.

A flat tax would still require everyone to report their income to the government. It´s none of their business how much money you earn or how you do it. What we need is a national sales tax and no other federal taxes at all. That way even drug dealers would have to pay taxes on their ill gotten dollars when they buy their BMW´s.

Email incriminates Lerner in scheme to evade Congressional oversight. WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton defended American political dynasties — including her own — arguing some families may just have a “predisposition” to become presidents. In an interview published Tuesday with Der Spiegel, Clinton batted down the notion that a succession of Bushes and Clintons in the White House would turn American politics into a monarchy. “We had two Roosevelts,” the former secretary of state told the German publication. “We had two Adams. It may be that certain families just have a sense of commitment or even a predisposition to want to be in politics.”

The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Despite his continuous denials, some still believe that Mitt Romney will run for president in 2016. Speaking to MSNBC on Monday, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, went one step further saying that the former Massachusetts governor will be occupying the White House after the next presidential election. “I think he actually is going to run for president. He probably doesn’t want me to say that. A hundred times he says he’s not, but Mitt Romney has always accomplished what he has set out to do,”

WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.” Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. Because of Obama’s purposeful dereliction of duty an untold

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton told the German magazine Der Spiegel on Tuesday that she and her husband Bill were ´deeply in debt´ when they left the White House, and blamed ´relentless persecution´ by Republicans for her legal bills after his presidency. The claim has added fuel to the fire Clinton herself touched off last month when she claimed they were ´dead broke´ after their time in the White House. The former first lady earns $200,000 or more every time she makes a public speech. The former president has earned a reported $104 million in speaking fees since he

The Independence Day weekend, usually one of the year´s biggest, fizzled drastically this time. Here´s what to blame — and it wasn´t the World Cup or Hurricane Arthur What if they gave a July 4th party and nobody came? That’s what Hollywood is wondering in the wake of an Independence Day weekend that had moviegoers expressing their Declaration of Indifference — by boycotting the multiplexes.

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim. Between

A poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal, NBC News, and Annenberg finally gave a numerical answer to a question we at Mediaite often ask ourselves: Out of all political figures that should pipe down just a bit, which one should do it immediately? Answer: Sarah Palin. Overwhelmingly Sarah Palin, says America. 52% of surveyed American adults want Sarah Palin to “be quiet,” according to the poll taken between June 30 and July 7 (Snip) 45% of respondents added that they wanted Jesse Jackson to be quiet, too; followed by Dick Cheney (42%), Newt Gingrich (39%), Al Gore (37%), and

Despite Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson vowing to "stem the tide" of unaccompanied illegal minors across the southern border with Mexico, thousands more are expected to enter the United States by the end of the year. With the system being overwhelmed, Border Patrol agents are concerned about minors who have admitted to being MS-13 members, a brutal street gang from El Salvador that has been successful in infiltrating American communities. Agents are also concerned about minors who have committed acts like torture and murder in their home countries before heading north to the United States. "We have six minors in Nogales

Kirsten Powers snapped at Bill O’Reilly tonight after he told her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about on immigration, and told O’Reilly she’s tired of him mocking liberals every day on every single issue just because “they care about people.” Powers argued that O’Reilly’s getting his facts wrong and that immigrants coming to the U.S. back in the day (like the Irish) were poor and uneducated, much like the immigrants O’Reilly is so worried about today. O’Reilly dismissed Powers and told her, “You don’t seem to really know what you’re talking about.” That really set Powers off. “I am
